Gu Shaoting knew that Gu Joy liked lighter als, so tonight their family planned to have a seafood feast.
Gu Joy actually missed the taste of seafood too.
During her ti at school, the food she had been eating was quite heavy.

“It’s okay, let’s try them all; it’s rare for you to co back,” Gu Shaoting said nonchalantly, his hard work was all for the sake of his children’s good life.
Gu Joy chid in, “Dad, that’s enough, eating too much will be wasteful.”
Only then did Gu Shaoting stop ordering.
The dishes were served quickly, and Gu Shaoting kept urging Gu Joy to eat more, which made Shu Pan speechless.
She smiled and then urged Xiaobao to eat quickly while it was hot.
“Joy, do you have any plans later? Dad is free today,” Gu Shaoting was really going all out to spend ti with his beloved daughter.
Hearing this, Gu Joy paused, then said sowhat reluctantly, “Dad, I’ve already made plans with a friend to go watch a movie tonight.”
Gu Joy didn’t want to give too many details, knowing her father’s personality; he would surely inquire to the very end.
So she just lightly touched on it, but she also guessed that her father wouldn’t be so easily dissuaded.
“Friend? Which friend?” Gu Shaoting imdiately asked.
Didn’t she say yesterday that she didn’t have any friends? How could she now have made plans to go watch a movie?
Gu Joy bit her chopsticks, then explained, “It’s a classmate from school, soone I usually get along with well.”
She said it nonchalantly, knowing that her father cared for her, so she didn’t mind it in her heart.
But Gu Shaoting’s brows furrowed deeply.
Seeing this, Shu Pan intervened, “Joy is growing up; she should have her own life too, so don’t worry too much.”
Shu Pan always felt that children should be given enough trust; they would grow up soday and couldn’t always be under her wings; they needed to fly on their own.
So she was quite confident in her children, not usually very strict with them.
“Dad, sister said she’s going to the movies with her classmate, I heard it,” Gu Xiaobao chid in from the side.
In fact, he didn’t know whether it was a male or female classmate, as he hadn’t heard very clearly just now.
Hearing what Gu Xiaobao said, the half-suspended heart of Gu Shaoting finally settled.
Gu Xiaobao also loved his sister very much; if sothing was off, he would surely have spoken up sooner.
“Alright then, go with your classmate, but be safe. Should Dad drive you there and back?” Gu Shaoting still couldn’t let it go.
