Chapter 1369: Chapter 1368: It’s a Deal

Shu Pan quickly ca back to her senses; they were in the living room, weren’t they?

“Hey, this is the living room. Mind how you look,” Shu Pan said with an air of annoyance as she patted him.

Gu Shaoting’s lips curled up slightly, “What does it matter? It proves how close we are.”

“How embarrassing would it be to be seen?” After all, Shu Pan was a woman, so she was more self-conscious.

“Heh, what’s the issue? It’s our own ho,” Gu Shaoting said nonchalantly.

“You really have a thick skin. Alright, I’m getting up,” Shu Pan didn’t want to continue the conversation.

Feeling that the atmosphere had beco a bit too heated, Shu Pan still struggled to stand up.

Gu Shaoting couldn’t move past her, and suddenly, he thought of sothing, “My dear, if Joy goes to Tsinghua University, should I open a branch there too? That way, I can see our daughter when I am on business trips.”

Gu Shaoting suddenly thought this was a great idea. He had an epiphany just now, and wasn’t this a win-win situation?

Shu Pan was sowhat speechless; he was still fixated on this issue.

It seed Mr. Gu would be agonizing over this for so ti.

Shu Pan couldn’t believe it. If Joy grew up and started dating, she wondered what Gu Shaoting’s reaction would be? She suddenly looked forward to seeing his face.

He was a true doting father to his daughter.

“Mr. Gu, ideals are beautiful, but reality is often harsh,” Shu Pan said with a smile.

“You have no sympathy. Can’t you see I’m heartbroken?” Gu Shaoting protested.

“I’m just reminding you that when our daughter grows up, she’ll be able to make many decisions for herself,” Shu Pan was actually quite open-minded; she wasn’t an authoritarian mother.

Although Gu Shaoting himself felt the sa way, in his heart, his daughter would always be a child.

Gu Joy entered junior high, and the next year, Zhou Yanlin was accepted into the senior high section of the sa school.

Finally, they were in the sa school.

They would usually eat together, study together in the library, and their figures could be seen everywhere.

Both of them were among the top students in their classes.

Though still in school, students nowadays mature early, and there were occasionally teasing comnts.

To protect Joy, Zhou Yanlin would seriously explain that Joy was his younger sister.

With him saying that, people definitely believed it.

Joy generally didn’t mind, focused on her studies with the goal of getting into Tsinghua University.

Soon, three years passed, and Zhou Yanlin was admitted to Tsinghua as he had wished.

They were about to part ways.

That day, they t up at a milk tea shop, where Gu Joy said sowhat lancholically, “Brother Yan Lin, I’ll be the only one at this school now. It’s going to feel pretty boring.”

After all, they had gotten used to each other’s company.

“It’s okay; ti passes quickly, and we can still see each other during winter and sumr vacations,” Zhou Yanlin assured her.

He would miss it too, but as a man, he had to seem stronger and could not be too sentintal.

“Mm, that’s the only way,” Gu Joy said, feeling a bit down.

“Co on, cheer up. I’ll be waiting for you at Tsinghua; you have to work hard,” Zhou Yanlin encouraged her.

Gu Joy nodded, her gaze resolute; she was determined to get into Tsinghua University, that was her goal.

“Mm, it’s a promise,” Gu Joy pursed her lips, looking at Zhou Yanlin with a confident tone.

They locked eyes for a mont and both smiled.
