Chapter 1359: Chapter 1358 You Have Disturbed

Lu Xinxin felt restless; the reality she had just discovered was enough to fill her with anxiety.

She gazed fixedly in Shu Joy’s direction for a long ti.

That girl was really beautiful, with delicate features and long, black hair tied back in a ponytail, which made her look even more youthful and pretty. Although young, her facial features already hinted at the promise of a stunning beauty.

Lu Xinxin’s brow furrowed, and she silently complained to herself, why would Zhou Yanlin treat such a girl so specially?

He seed so concerned, but when had she ever seen him behave this way with others before?

He always carried himself with such superiority, so aloof; why would he take the initiative to speak to a girl?

That’s why seeing this scene made Lu Xinxin’s heart sink into gloom.

But she couldn’t ask; she could only wonder and guess wildly.

Zhou Yanlin returned to his seat and reverted to his usual silent and reserved deanor, as if he didn’t want to talk to anyone around him.

Lu Xinxin was afraid of being disliked, so she dared not speak up either.

Ti ticked by, second by second, as the competition continued.

Suddenly, the announcer called Shu Joy’s na for the primary school senior group to prepare to go on stage.

Zhou Yanlin’s expression changed abruptly, and he seed to snap back to alertness; he sat up straight, watching the stage with rapt attention.

From the mont he had arrived, he looked the most energized now, full of vigor.

Of course, Lu Xinxin had noticed this already. When the announcer uttered “Shu Joy,” she had already detected Zhou Yanlin’s reaction.

So the girl’s na was Shu Joy; she definitely couldn’t be his sister, since they didn’t share the sa surna.

Lu Xinxin felt an unbearable agony inside, as if ants were gnawing at her, and she was drowning in her emotions, unable to escape.

Shu Joy had already started her speech on stage, her voice clear, pure, and ethereal.

Moreover, her pronunciation was exceptionally standard, and a pleasure to listen to.

She spoke fluently, with expressive and accurate emotions, and Lu Xinxin found she really couldn’t pinpoint a single fault in her performance.

It was clear she was an excellent person.

But then again, it made sense, didn’t it? How could anyone Zhou Yanlin knew be anything less than impressive?

Unwillingly, Lu Xinxin stole another glance at Zhou Yanlin and noticed that his gaze had not left Shu Joy since she stepped on stage, watching with relish, his dark eyes seemingly filled with laughter, the very picture of pride.

He seed even more excited than if he were on stage himself.

In an instant, Lu Xinxin felt as though a bucket of cold water had been dumped over her, sourness infiltrating her heart.

In the end, she couldn’t help herself and asked quietly, “Yan Lin, do you know the girl on stage?”

Zhou Yanlin was suddenly jolted, feeling sowhat irritated, and then replied with a furrowed brow, “Yes, I know her, but right now I want to listen to the speech.”

Zhou Yanlin’s tone was sowhat stern, causing a jolt in Lu Xinxin’s heart, leaving her a bit stunned.

It seed to be the first ti he had spoken to her with such a tone; he had previously been quite the gentleman.

Lu Xinxin felt hurt, looking like a wronged little wife.

Yet even so, Zhou Yanlin didn’t pay much attention to her, continuing to listen to the speech attentively, not changing his posture until Shu Joy had finished, his entire deanor beaming with smiles and vigorous applause.

Seeing him like this, Lu Xinxin’s heart ached even more.

The girl called Shu Joy, she would rember her.

Hmph, the saying goes that the early bird catches the worm, but they were both still young, and there was a long road ahead.
