Chapter 1346: Chapter 1345: Accompanint is the Best Gift
Xiaobao was at first a bit scared, but then he happily clung to his father’s neck.
He hadn’t held onto his father like this for a long ti because his father was usually quite busy and rarely at ho.
“Xiaobao, co down, Dad is tired,” Shu Pan said from behind, unable to help herself.
“It’s okay, I want to play with Xiaobao for a bit,” Gu Shaoting said indifferently.
“Right, it’s Xiaobao’s birthday this weekend. I want to have a small party at ho and invite so friends over to play,” Shu Pan suddenly rembered and ntioned it to Gu Shaoting.
“Sure, you can arrange it. Just don’t overwork yourself, and let the servants prepare everything,” Gu Shaoting instructed, knowing that Shu Pan’s health wasn’t very good, so he did not want her to do anything strenuous.
“You’re worrying too much. Rest assured, all the arrangents and purchasing are managed by the butler, and there’s a chef for the food. I’m just hosting the friends. And I’m not inviting many, just the ones I’m closest to,” Shu Pan said with a smile.
“Okay, as long as you’re happy,” Gu Shaoting responded with a smile.
He turned his head and said to Xiaobao with a smile, “Xiaobao, your birthday is coming up. What gift would you like? Dad will prepare it for you.”
“Really? Dad?” Xiaobao said eagerly.
“Of course, what do you want as a gift?” Gu Shaoting asked while holding him.
“I want Mom and Dad to take to the zoo,” Xiaobao said without hesitation.
Gu Shaoting paused for a mont, realizing then how he had neglected his family due to his busy work schedule. It was Xiaobao’s words that made him aware he hadn’t properly accompanied his family for a long ti.
“Is that your only wish?” Gu Shaoting confird.
“Yes, many of my kindergarten friends have been there, and it was so amazing,” Xiaobao said, now old enough to understand.
“Okay, then this weekend we’ll find a day for the whole family to go to the zoo together,” Gu Shaoting announced.
Xiaobao was overjoyed and hugged Gu Shaoting’s head, giving his face a kiss.
“Xiaobao, Dad is very busy with work. How about Mom finds so ti to take you?” Shu Pan suggested from the side.
“It’s fine; I have ti on the weekend. I want to go out for a walk too. It feels like it’s been a long ti since I stretched my legs,” Gu Shaoting said. Now that Gu Group was on the right track and the company was full of talented people, they could handle things on their own even if he wasn’t there.
Shu Pan then nodded her head.
In truth, she also hoped that Gu Shaoting would spend more ti with the child when he was free, since a child’s growth is inseparable from fatherly love.
“Alright, Xiaobao, Dad has promised you. It should be almost ti for you to go to sleep, right?” Shu Pan ca over and patted his head.
“But I still want to play with Dad for a while,” Xiaobao protested, seeing this rare opportunity.
“Be good, Dad will make more ti to play with you from now on. Listen to Mom, tidy up your things, and go to bed,” Gu Shaoting patted Xiaobao’s little bottom.
“Okay,” Xiaobao replied reluctantly.
Watching Xiaobao’s expression, Shu Pan couldn’t help but smile. Ah, children really do wear their feelings on their faces.
But then she thought, it was also because it had been too long since Gu Shaoting had played with him.
Shu Pan took the child back to the room, and Gu Shaoting sat on the sofa, dazed for a while, before also getting up to go to the room to shower.
When he ca out of the bathroom, Shu Pan had also returned to the room.
“Is he asleep?” Gu Shaoting asked.
Shu Pan nodded.
“Co here,” Gu Shaoting reached out his hand to Shu Pan.
