Chapter 1336: Chapter 1335: Out of Spite Chapter 1336: Chapter 1335: Out of Spite Zhou Shengting ca into the room, carrying things with him.
He could tell that Bai Lan was sowhat unhappy, and this discontent seed to be directed solely at himself.
He must have done sothing wrong to upset her.
It looked like he, as a husband, needed to seriously reflect on his own behavior.
Bai Lan looked at her shopping trophies and felt like a weight had been lifted from her heart.
“Honey, what’s wrong?” Zhou Shengting, unwilling to be neglected, called out in a pitiful voice.
“You don’t have to entertain anyone tonight?” Bai Lan asked coldly while she put away her things.
n who have affairs love to use business entertaining as an excuse, right?
No matter what kind of man, it seems the excuses are always the sa.
“No, I had wanted to co ho early to be with you, but you weren’t at ho,” Zhou Shengting said, sounding sowhat like a whiny housewife.
“I don’t need your company,” Bai Lan said petulantly, almost implying, you can keep soone else company.
“But I want to keep you company,” Zhou Shengting retorted, his deanor a bit roguish.
Bai Lan ignored him, and after putting away her things, she picked up her pajamas and went into the bathroom.
Soon, the sound of running water could be heard outside, and Zhou Shengting felt oddly parched.
He thought for a mont, and without another word, picked up a pair of briefs and entered the bathroom in the adjoining room.
Such a wonderful evening really shouldn’t be wasted.
When Bai Lan ca out, not finding Zhou Shengting, she thought he had gone to the study.
So she went to Xiaobao’s room. Xiaobao was already asleep, and Bai Lan felt guilty for letting her petulance prevent her from spending ti with Xiaobao tonight.
Sighing inwardly, she thought, from now on, even if she was angry, she must not neglect the child.
Looking at Xiaobao’s chubby cheeks, Bai Lan’s heart finally settled a lot.
Suddenly, a strong arm wrapped around her waist, and without looking, she knew it was Zhou Shengting; his breath quickly enveloped her.
Knowing it was futile to struggle, she simply went along with him.
“The baby’s asleep; let’s not disturb him. Let’s go to sleep too,” Zhou Shengting whispered in her ear.
His breath in her ear made her shiver uncontrollably.
Before Bai Lan could respond, Zhou Shengting suddenly bent down, lifted her by the waist, and she was startled into wrapping her arms tightly around his neck.
Back in their room, although Bai Lan wanted to resist, the difference in their strength ant she could do nothing but surrender.
The night was still deep…
The next day, after Zhou Shengting got up, he felt incredibly refreshed; he hadn’t felt this way in a long ti.
After washing up, seeing Bai Lan still in deep sleep, he tiptoed out quietly.
He then went to work, and only after that did Bai Lan gradually wake up.
Lying there, exhausted, Bai Lan rembered the events of the previous night.
Her face reddened, and she inwardly cursed Zhou Shengting for being a hooligan.
However, on second thought, his behavior didn’t seem that of a man having an affair.
He still seed very interested in her.
Touching the spot next to her, which had already grown cold, she realized he had gotten up a while ago.
Bai Lan slowly pulled back the thin quilt, intending to get out of bed when she noticed a note on the nightstand, held down by her phone. It read, “My Dear, I’ve gone to work. There’s a eting today, but I’ll co ho early to be with you tonight. Love, your Hubby.”
Bai Lan stared at the note, montarily stunned. Zhou Shengting wasn’t known for his romantic gestures.
But it was unquestionably his handwriting. When had he learned to do stuff like this?
