Chapter 1227: Chapter 1226: Sothing Unusual Chapter 1227: Chapter 1226: Sothing Unusual Upon leaving the cafe, Bai Lan relaxed completely; during her ti in the cafe, she had just been pretending, and now all of her defenses were down.
She road the streets aimlessly, indifferent to passersby who bumped into her.
Her mind was still in turmoil, thinking about how a simple college romance could have turned out this way.
She had thought that college love would be the purest, but unexpectedly…
She couldn’t help but snort coldly inside; she had not anticipated that Zhou Shengting would conceal such important matters from her.
Aren’t couples supposed to be transparent with each other? Especially about matters of great importance.
Had she known the truth, she wouldn’t have ended up looking like a fool today.
Bai Lan slowly walked along the street, feeling no desire to return to school at this mont.
She was now branded as a gold digger, huh, who would have thought she would co to this day.
And the person who labeled her as such was none other than the mother of the man she loved.
Though she had never thought about how far she and Zhou Shengting would go, she at least hoped to gain everyone’s approval.
Just then, she felt a vibration in her bag; upon checking, she saw that it was Zhou Shengting calling.
She didn’t want to answer, but he was persistent. After she did not pick up the first ti, he imdiately called again.
With no other option, she pressed the answer button, “Lan Lan, where did you go? Why aren’t you in the dorm? And I’ve called several tis without an answer.”
Zhou Shengting seed to sigh with relief when the call connected; he had been frantic.
Bai Lan was not the type to leave without a word; she normally would say where she was going.
Today was out of the ordinary.
Only then did Bai Lan realize he had called many tis. Maybe just now, when she was talking to his mother, because she had been so tense, she hadn’t noticed the movent in her bag.
But at that ti, she had no energy to care about such things.
“I felt a bit suffocated and decided to take a walk, I must have accidentally set my phone to silent, so I didn’t notice,” Bai Lan replied, her voice faint and different from usual.
Zhou Shengting, her intimate lover, imdiately detected the anomaly in her voice.
He cautiously asked, “What happened?”
Zhou Shengting knew Bai Lan well; she was soone whose feelings were written all over her face, she couldn’t disguise them.
“Nothing, nothing much, where are you right now? I’m heading back to school.” Bai Lan felt that she still needed to have a proper talk with him.
“Okay, don’t move. I’ll co to find you; send your location.” Zhou Shengting was worried about her low spirits and her being absent-minded, even when crossing roads.
“Alright.” Bai Lan thought it over; she didn’t feel like moving, and having the discussion outside seed preferable.
So she sent her location to him and found a place to sit down and wait.
Zhou Shengting arrived quickly.
“Lan Lan.” Zhou Shengting was usually reserved, not one to show his emotions, but seeing Bai Lan sitting there, her expression sowhat lost, tightened his heart.
He quickly went over and took her hand.
Zhou Shengting frowned slightly because Bai Lan’s hand was very cold, yet the day’s temperature wasn’t low, which made him worry she might be ill.
He clasped her hands firmly, rubbing them until they ward up a bit, before letting go.
“Are you feeling unwell?” Zhou Shengting asked gently.
Bai Lan shook her head, then voiced, “Sheng Ting, is there sothing you’re hiding from that you haven’t told about?”
Zhou Shengting was taken aback, his gaze flickered away.
Bai Lan understood; he was feeling guilty.
