Chapter 1194: Chapter 1193: Confessing the Illness Chapter 1194: Chapter 1193: Confessing the Illness Shu Pan didn’t even know how she had walked out of the doctor’s office.
It was as if she had lost her soul as she left.
The sky outside matched her mood, dull and gray.
Actually, she had anticipated that the results wouldn’t be good, but it still hurt.
She walked out of the hospital and then found a stone bench to sit on outside.
She looked around at the people nearby, watching them hurry for their als.
She envied them, at least they had healthy bodies.
Unlike her, who, even if she tried hard, was now helpless.
She sat for a long ti, just watching the passersby.
During this ti, she thought about a lot, many things were beyond her control, and now all she could do was to resign herself to fate.
Finally, she took out her phone from her bag and dialed Wen Chi’s number, thinking that at least he was a doctor and could offer her so constructive advice.
When the call connected, Wen Chi’s clear voice ca through, “Shu Pan, what’s up?”
Wen Chi was startled when he saw the call; Shu Pan hadn’t called him in a long ti, and she probably wouldn’t have unless it was sothing very urgent.
“Wen Chi, do you have ti?” Shu Pan checked the ti, it was almost noon, and he should be off work soon.
She was here waiting for him to get off work.
“Yes, wait for for ten minutes. Where are you now?” Wen Chi asked.
“I’m sitting on a stone bench outside the hospital,” Shu Pan told him the address.
Soon, Wen Chi arrived, already changed into casual clothes.
“Let’s go, it’s almost noon, let’s find a place where we can eat and talk,” Wen Chi said, noticing Shu Pan’s pale face and listless spirit.
He knew sothing bad must have happened, otherwise Shu Pan wouldn’t be like this.
Now, she looked utterly lifeless, like a withered flower, devoid of energy.
The two went to a nearby restaurant and for convenience of conversation, Wen Chi booked a private room.
After ordering the food, Wen Chi poured Shu Pan a glass of water, “Drink so water to moisten your throat a bit, you look terrible.”
Shu Pan subconsciously moistened her lips, which were very dry.
Right, she hadn’t even had a sip of water today, had she?
So, she picked up the cup and took a sip.
The water in the cup was warm, softening her throat as soon as she sipped it.
Shu Pan took a sip and then put the cup down.
“Shu Pan, have you gotten the results?” Wen Chi asked, having already guessed as he saw her at the hospital entrance holding a bag with the hospital’s logo.
“Uh… but the results aren’t good,” Shu Pan had fully accepted the fact by now, and so she nodded at Wen Chi.
“Let see the results,” Wen Chi reached out his hand.
Shu Pan didn’t hide it from him and handed it over.
Wen Chi eagerly opened the bag and then pulled out the test results.
Being a doctor, he understood these matters.
He glanced over it, and roughly knew sothing.
However, his face didn’t reveal any expression.
At that mont, he was truly grateful to be a doctor, able to hide his emotions well, avoiding showing a look of worry.
Indeed, the current results seed unpromising, but hoping for the best, Shu Pan was born under a lucky star.
After reading, he slowly placed the results back into the bag and handed it back to Shu Pan, “What did the doctor suggest? Hospitalization for further testing and surgery?”
Shu Pan nodded.
