“Yeah, every ti I co here on a business trip, I make sure to eat here at least once. The owner really knows how to cook the congee just right, and the ingredients are all purchased fresh daily,” Lu Lei explained patiently.
“Then I’ll order an extra bowl later,” Shu Pan said happily.
“Good, take your ti and enjoy,” Lu Lei responded, his mood lifted by hers.
When the congee arrived, it was as delicious as described. Shu Pan indeed ended up eating two small bowls.
After finishing, she could still taste the congee’s flavor in her mouth.
Later, back at the hotel, because Shu Pan was sowhat full, she couldn’t sleep imdiately. She sat on the windowsill of the hotel and impulsively took a photo of the night view with her phone.

He lost any urge to sleep and quickly started packing his things.
After checking the ti, he booked the earliest flight for the next morning.
He planned to surprise her, especially since he had recently done so things to upset her.

Early the next morning, Gu Shaoting made arrangents with Auntie Li, telling her that he would be away on a business trip for a couple of days and that Joy and Xiaobao would be her responsibility.

He had morized the city where Shu Pan was staying and the hotel she was in.
Upon landing, he imdiately took a taxi to the hotel.
He arrived at the hotel around 9 AM.
Even though he hadn’t slept well all night, he seed very excited.
Thinking about soon seeing Shu Pan, will she be surprised? She probably would not expect him to put aside his work to co to see her specifically.
