“Mr. Shen, are you serious?” a woman’s delighted voice rang out.
Although Gu Huanhuan did not interact much with Sun Xiaoqian, her voice had a deliberately coquettish tone, making it highly recognizable.
“Of course, after I return, I will tell my elder brother that Song’s refusal to choose you as their spokesperson is their loss. Just look at you, with your delicate skin and tender flesh, and your figure, so graceful and enchanting. You are one of the top contenders in the entertainnt industry, and you’ve even won awards. But most importantly, darling, this outfit of yours adds so much to your charm.” Shen Hui spoke, his words dripping with insincerity, lacking propriety.
He had just approached Sun Xiaoqian, expressing his long-standing admiration and how happy he was to finally make her acquaintance, even claiming to be a fan of hers.
Most importantly, he introduced himself as the second son of the Shen family, a status that quickly hooked Sun Xiaoqian.
It was only after hearing Shen Hui ntion her clothes that Gu Huanhuan rembered Sun Xiaoqian was wearing a black lace dress that evening.
Sun Xiaoqian must have been enchanting in such attire.

“Soone’s here,” Sun Xiaoqian feigned protest.
“No one will know about this here; don’t worry, everyone else is over in the main hall,” Shen Hui whispered.
The conversation that followed was full of flirtatious and sickly sweet words, making Gu Huanhuan’s skin crawl as she listened from the side.
She was simply speechless, lanting what the world had co to, how people could talk of love and affection after knowing each other for such a short ti.
Not wanting to interrupt them, she quietly slipped away, the two on the balcony oblivious to her presence.
She couldn’t help but check her phone again, still no ssage from Wen Chi.
“Miss Gu, there you are. Is it that my banquet is too dull?” Song Jie appeared to be looking for her, and upon spotting her, his face relaxed.
“Not at all, it’s very successful, Mr. Song. Thank you for your hospitality,” Gu Huanhuan replied politely.
“That’s good to hear. Today’s pastries are made by the hotel’s head chef—they’re delicious. You should try them,” Song Jie said enthusiastically.
All of a sudden, Gu Huanhuan rembered how sloppy she had looked eating during the last shoot. He couldn’t really pigeonhole her as a glutton, could he?
Feeling as though a flock of crows was “caw-cawing” over her head in embarrassnt, Gu Huanhuan still managed to say, through gritted teeth, “I’ve tried them already, and they’re very tasty, thank you.”
“That’s great to hear. Actually, I’m also a food lover. If you have ti, we could go out and enjoy so good food together. What do you think, Miss Gu?” Song Jie asked.
“Sure, if there’s an opportunity,” Gu Huanhuan replied noncommittally.
The banquet was nearly over, and Gu Huanhuan intended to take her leave.
“By the way, Mr. Song, I have so things to take care of, so I must go now,” Gu Huanhuan took the opportunity to say, as slipping away unnoticed seed improper.
Song Jie nodded, “Alright, I’ll have the driver take you.
“No need, I have soone picking up,” Gu Huanhuan told a kind lie.
