Even though she was a shaman of the Watson Tribe, Ji Nuan’s coming-of-age ritual was no different from that of other tribe mbers.
Grandma Shaman, following the tribe’s customs, conducted the rite of passage for Ji Nuan, declaring this young female cub, who had made nurous contributions to the tribe, now an adult.
The real excitent was at the mating ritual of Ji Nuan and Xiu Yan.
Grandma Shaman, as the Blessing Beast, sat on the altar with a smiling face, while Xiu Yan and Ji Nuan knelt at the altar under the gaze of orcs from various tribes.
Grandma Shaman uttered many words that Ji Nuan couldn’t understand at all, and then, sowhat out of breath, she turned around to look at the two young orcs kneeling in front of her.
"I’ve just communicated your pairing to Lord Beast God, and now you must swear under his watchful eye."
With that, she turned to Xiu Yan, "Orc Xiu Yan, are you willing to beco Ji Nuan’s partner, to care for her, love her, accompany her, always put her first, and be loyal to her?"
Xiu Yan, with a resolute gaze, answered, "I am willing."
Grandma Shaman nodded in satisfaction and then looked at Ji Nuan, "Female Ji Nuan, are you willing to beco Xiu Yan’s partner, to love him, accompany him, and never abandon him throughout your life?"
Ji Nuan’s lips twitched slightly as she suppressed the oddity in her heart and, with a look of determination, said, "I am willing, and Xiu Yan will be my only partner for life. Please, Lord Beast God, be my witness."
Grandma Shaman gave her a disapproving look. For a female, having many partners was quite normal.
Furthermore, in Grandma Shaman’s eyes, soone as clever and outstanding as Ji Nuan should indeed have multiple partners to produce many cubs as extraordinary as herself.
However, Ji Nuan had firmly made such a vow during the mating ritual under the witness of Lord Beast God, leaving Grandma Shaman no choice but to look at her with a ’you could have done better’ expression.
Ji Nuan knew Grandma Shaman wanted the best for her, but when it ca to affections, it was best to do what felt right. She knew her own personality well; she would only love one orc, and that orc was Xiu Yan.
When the ritual ended, Ji Nuan and Xiu Yan presented the prepared sacrificial offerings to the Beast God.
Only then did they begin to host the feast for the orcs.
The feasts were usually held at night previously, with everyone lighting bonfires and rrily sharing food.
But Ji Nuan, blending the modern thods, invited everyone to a al, where the food had been ticulously prepared through a collaborative effort between her, other proficient female cooks of the tribe, and the orcs.
The orcs, accompanied by their Clan Leader, looked at the array of delicious-slling dishes served and salivated uncontrollably like floodwaters breaching a dam.
Each orc had a small bowl, a pair of chopsticks, and a spoon in front of them.
Since the al was prepared in advance, with the help of the orcs, it did not take long to serve everything.
"Tribe mbers, fellow orc friends, thank you for attending my coming-of-age and mating rituals. This food has been ticulously prepared, there is plenty, and should you need more, just signal us, enjoy your feast today."
At these words, the orcs erupted in cheers, and then, soone took the first bite, and the whole square instantly beca lively.
"Goodness, this food is so delicious."
"Do the orcs of the Watson Tribe eat this kind of food every day?"
