"Uncle ng Zhuo, considering your good relationship with my father, perhaps you could have a word with the female from the Watson Tribe. After all, each female usually has many mates, so it’s not necessary that she should commit to ng Tai." Namila looked towards ng Zhuo who was sat at the head of the table.
ng Zhuo’s face darkened in an instant. Was she saying that the female he had chosen for his son was akin to her - one with many mates? Or insinuating the choice of her mate was insignificant because his son was not an appealing choice?
"That’s not an option. That young female doesn’t have any mate, and she has sworn in the presence of Lord Beast God. She pledged to beco ng Tai’s mate, live with us in the Monte Tribe, and only take ng Tai as her mate throughout her lifeti."
ng Zhuo’s face was serious as he relayed this, almost as if he were discussing a true incident that had occurred.
At this, not only did Chief Nakula’s face darken, but Namila’s did as well: "It seems like you are not keen on maintaining a good relationship with our Nacha Tribe, Uncle ng Zhuo." Her voice held a subtle threat.
Upon hearing this, ng Zhuo’s face soured. He turned to Nakula, "Does what Namila said represent your thoughts, Nakula?" ng Zhuo scrutinized the two orcs below him, a faint sense of caution rising in his heart. It seed Nakula was not as he had previously known him to be.
Chief Nakula, however, suddenly broke into a smile. "ng Zhuo, don’t take the child’s words to heart. The relationship between our tribes is too substantial to be affected by sothing so trivial."
Having said that, Chief Nakula patted Namila’s head: "This child is just too fond of ng Tai. She beca a little disappointed upon hearing that ng Tai already has a female he likes. So she reacted thus. We hope you won’t mind it too much, ng Zhuo."
Namila’s expression shifted several tis before she managed to eke out a smile: "I am sorry, Uncle ng Zhuo. I should not have... said those words upon hearing that brother ng Tai already had a mate. I truly am sorry."
Now that Namila had apologized, ng Zhuo, as an elder, did not pursue the matter further. However, the atmosphere in the tent was no longer as harmonious as before. After the orcs had finished their lavish al in sowhat awkward silence, Nakula and Namila took their leave from Chief ng Zhuo.
"Since young ng Tai already has a mate, we will take our leave now." Nakula, Namila, and twenty other orcs who were carrying baskets on their backs bid farewell at the entrance of the tribe.
ng Zhuo looked at the baskets on the orcs’ backs and a faint smile appeared on his face. "Aren’t those the baskets I gave you guys last ti? Are they useful?"
Nakula laughed heartily: "Indeed, very useful. We can do lots of things with it."
ng Zhuo nodded: "Shaman Ji Nuan taught us how to make these. If you need more in the future, send your orcs our way and we can trade."
Nakula slapped ng Zhuo’s shoulder: "You should go back now. We are leaving."
Watching Nakula and his group of orcs disappear into the distance, ng Zhuo couldn’t shake off an uneasy feeling.
"Father, I just ran into Chief Nakula and Namila." ng Tai, who had just returned from a hunt, ca back from the direction the Nacha Tribe had just left.
ng Zhuo looked at him: "You ran into them? Did Nakula ask you anything?"
