A mocking smile appeared on Nakula’s face: "Of course I’ve seen it. Many orcs in the tribe have died from worm disease."
Ji Nuan chuckled lightly: "Since you’ve seen what orcs look like when they’re infected with worm disease, do you still think this orc has the worm disease? Did the Gorilla Beast send you here to humor us?"
As soon as Ji Nuan finished speaking, the orcs around them began to take a closer look at the orc on the ground. Although he appeared sowhat defeated and grimy, there weren’t any holes drilled into his eyes, ears, or other parts of his body, unlike the orcs who previously suffered from worm disease.
"Huh? There are no holes."
"Yeah, nothing crawled out of his nose, eyes, or ears either."
"He looks alive and doesn’t seem to be in much pain."
The onlooking orcs started discussing among themselves.
Perhaps the buzzing debate had affected the orc on the ground; he slowly sat up and jolted in surprise at the sight of so many orcs: "What...what’s going on?"
"Are you okay?"
The orc scratched his head: "I’m fine, I was just dizzy from throwing up earlier, so I laid down for a bit."
The crowd of orcs: "..."
’Do we really want to help this guy?’ They wondered.
Ji Nuan glanced at the orc still sitting on the ground: "You’ve already vomited lots of worms. You’ll feel so stomach pain today and tomorrow, and you’ll pass more worms when you squat in the bushes. You’ll be fine in a few days. In the future, avoid eating raw at and make sure to boil beast blood in a stone pot before drinking it, or you’ll get worm disease again."
After finishing her explanation, she glanced at Nakula and his esteed senior shaman, bid Mu Qing and a few other tribal chiefs goodbye, and left.
’I’m busy gathering herbs. None of you even paid a consultation fee, yet you expect to treat your orcs. How can I be so kind-hearted? Humph!’
Watching as the Watson Tribe party left, the surrounding orcs, under the leadership of their clan leaders, gradually dispersed, leaving behind only the Nacha Tribe orcs along with Nakula and the elder shaman.
"Okay, there’s nothing more to see here, everyone can leave now." Nakula waved his hand, his face sour.
However, the tribe mbers didn’t disperse imdiately, instead, they looked at Nakula and the elder shaman with anticipation.
"Chief, when will we receive the dicine that treats the worm disease?"
"Yes, chief, our worm disease is also severe."
Hearing the tribe mbers’ inquiries, Nakula’s face soured further. If he had known how effective the worm disease dicine was, he wouldn’t have wasted it on this inconsequential orc.
"Shaman Ji Nuan only brought one dose of that dicine this ti. That’s all there was."
This was a thunderbolt from the blue for the Nacha Tribe orcs, who had just seen a glimr of hope. One by one, their faces dropped, and they were extrely crestfallen.
The elder shaman then stepped forward: "Everyone, don’t worry. Our tribe will be able to attend the large trade fair next year. At that ti, we will ask Nakula to exchange more of the dicine to distribute to everyone. Next year everyone must work even harder to prepare trade items to exchange for more of the dicine."
The elder shaman’s words reignited the hopes of the discouraged orcs. One by one, they left, filled with determination. They were going to work hard to gather and hunt so that after this winter season, they could get the dicine to treat the worm disease.
