Xiu Yan pondered a mont then nodded: "We can return, but we must do so discreetly. If Bertel discovers that we’ve regressed, Ya Li and Fu Yi might be in dangerous, despite their status as evolved orcs. Gru Tribe has summoned a multitude of orcs this ti."
Only now did Ji Nuan rember this matter, having sohow forgotten sothing so crucial.
Fu Yi overheard the two beastn converse and chid in with a nod after sitting upright: "The chief was deeply concerned about you when I left. Ya Li and I can handle things here. As long as Bertel doesn’t return, the orcs here won’t discover us, rest assured." Upon saying this, he rolled two adorable creatures over with his claw: "Take these little ones with you. Caring for them here would divide our attention and hinder our eventual rescue of the Dashi and Gray Bear Tribes.
At hearing this, the two tiny creatures that were initially struggling imdiately cald down. They sat despondently, their eyes lowered in apparent disappointnt.
Resolving to depart imdiately, Ji Nuan did not delay, packing the two little ones into his knapsack: "You shouldn’t feel out of sorts. Once we rescue the tribesn from the two tribes, won’t you be able to see them anyti?"
The two small creatures obediently nodded.
Xiu Yan didn’t transform into beast form this ti, instead choosing to carry the knapsack on his back. He spread his wings and, enclosing Ji Nuan within them, took to the sky. As they receded into the distance, Fu Yi swung his tail out of boredom and, transforming into a streak of light, darted back into the Dashi Tribe. Rather than idly lounging here, he might as well lend a hand. Quicker resolution would an a quicker return to his tribe, which he missed. Xiu Yan and Ji Nuan, on the other hand, after flying for a while, finally spotted the Gru Tribe Orcs that Bertel led in the Purple Fruit Forest not far from the tribe’s city walls.
Tents were erected within the forest, and squads of orc patroln wandered the encampnt. Compared to the chaotic Dashi Tribe, the nightti encampnt was peaceful and orderly.
"This is the Purple Fruit Forest we’ve cultivated, this Bertel really assud we wouldn’t be able to return so quickly and daringly set up camp here." Ji Nuan disapprovingly remarked.
Xiu Yan curved his lips into a smirk: "Soon he’ll realize that he was too optimistic."
He tightened his arm around her and his forehead brushed against Ji Nuan’s slightly cool cheek: "Are you cold?"
Ji Nuan chuckled: "Just right, isn’t it? It gets too hot during the day."
Xiu Yan rubbed against her: "Speak up when you’re cold, there is beast skin in the knapsack."
"Don’t worry, I won’t let myself fall ill, I am a Shaman after all." Ji Nuan laughed.
In the knapsack, the two small creatures had already snuggled together, sweetly dreaming.
The two beasts turned to fly to the other side of the wall. Since the Gru Tribe was on this side, they needed to choose a more concealed spot to infiltrate. "Who are you?" As soon as they landed within the tribe, a group of beastn surrounded them.
Pulling his wings back to reveal his face, and Ji Nuan in his arms, the crowd erupted in excitent, the orcs roaring fervently: "Xiu Yan! Shaman Ji Nuan! You’ve returned?"
"We were worried sick."
"Exactly, those damned Gru Orcs have been hovering around with ill intent."
From afar, another group of beastn carrying torches approached, the booming voice of Chief Ge Xing audible from a distance: "Did we captivate a spy from the Gru Tribe? Watch as I finish them off this ti, damn it, they assu that because the lion doesn’t roar, it’s a harmless cat!"
