Perhaps afraid of incurring Ji Nuan’s wrath, he quickly said, "I understand this is just a joke amongst your tribe mbers. No one takes it seriously. Everyone knows that the competition for the position of Clan Leader in every tribe is fierce. Many brave orcs hope to beco the Clan Leader, it’s impossible to determine it by drawing lots."
"Ha...haha...the position must be obtained through intense competition. Chief Ge Xing is a very formidable orc." Ji Nuan forced a laugh and tried to save so face for Chief Ge Xing.
Ying Da earnestly nodded and nudged the ga beside him, "This is what we just hunted nearby. The Clan Leader said to bring you one."
Ji Nuan quickly waved his hand: "That wouldn’t be right, better take it back, there are so many people in your tribe."
But Ying Da very seriously said, "Shaman Ji Nuan, you saved many of our orc lives. We are forever grateful to you. Please don’t decline this small token of our appreciation. I must be going now."
With that said, he stood up and ran towards the Dashi Tribe’s tent.
Ji Nuan shook his head: "Next ti distribute more of the Fire Seed Fruit potion to them."
"Nuannuan, co here, your tent is all set up." Xiu Yan’s voice rang out from behind. Ji Nuan picked up her small backpack and told a tribesman not far away: "This ga is quite large, let’s all eat it together later."
The beastman nodded honestly: "Understood, Shaman."
To ensure Ji Nuan’s safety, her tent was set up in the middle of the other tents as if surrounded. Ji Nuan, under the watchful eyes of the tribespeople, lifted the curtain and went in.
"Clickety clack!" The sound of her footsteps didn’t seem to be from stepping on the ground. Ji Nuan looked down and asked, "What is this?"
"The orcs and I cut down a few trees from the forest and made a wooden floor to prevent dampness," Xiu Yan replied from behind.
His towering figure walked in, holding a torch, and held Ji Nuan’s hand, "Have a look inside."
With the illumination of the torch, the inside of the tent was much clearer than when it was only lit by the faint moonlight.
In the middle of the tent was a fireplace made of mud and rocks. Xiu Yan took so kindling from his backpack and lit the kindling inside the fireplace with the torch.
A bit farther away was a thick beast skin bed, and around the tent were ordinary items she usually needed, like ceramic pots and bowls. Ji Nuan looked around in amazent; this was nearly identical to her setup back in the tribe.
"I didn’t bring all of these." She turned to the orc beside her.
Xiu Yan smiled, "This ti we didn’t co to trade, so the tribespeople carried more supplies. We distributed your belongings among the tribespeople. It’s just a piece of beast skin per person."
Ji Nuan was deeply moved. She chuckled and walked to her beast skin bed and sat down carefully, "This is so comfortable!"
She stood up, put her small backpack in a corner of the tent, took out a small bundle, and—holding Xiu Yan’s hand—headed outside: "Let’s go, call everyone together today, I’ll personally cook for them."
Xiu Yan did not object. After taking a glance at a corner of the tent, he went out, led by Ji Nuan’s urging.
