After bidding farewell to the shaman, Ge Xing grimaced and muttered, "That old fox, he’s definitely trying to get close to Ji Nuan and her cub again."
Ji Nuan woke up from her pleasant sleep at noon. She rubbed her sleepy eyes and stretched.
This bear-like clan leader sure has comfortable beast skin bedding. It was so thick and the bottom layer was padded with a layer of thick dry grass. She slept for so long and didn’t feel any dampness from the beast skin beneath her.
Putting on her beast skin coat, Ji Nuan stepped out of the tent. The sun hung high in the sky, radiating a warm glow.
"Little Ji Nuan, are you awake?" Ge Xing’s voice ca from one side. Ji Nuan turned her head towards him.
A few orcs from the Watson Tribe were sitting together in front of a stone-enclosed fire pit, roasting tantalizing at. The chubby lion cub sat on a beast skin mat, looking at her with sparkling eyes.
Ji Nuan walked over and asked, "Uncle, where is the small river of the Dashi Tribe? I want to wash up."
Ge Xing laughed and pointed to a large stone trough beside the tent and said, "I knew you’d need water in the morning, so I had the orcs prepare so for you."
Ji Nuan smiled warmly, "Thank you, Uncle. Let go wash up."
Ge Xing waved his hand, "We are all mbers of the sa tribe, no need for such politeness. Go wash up and co back to eat."
The water in the stone trough, ward by the morning sun, felt pleasant.
Ji Nuan first brushed her teeth with salt, then washed her face with warm water. She instantly felt energized.
She went into the tent, took her small package from her basket, took out a thin piece of beast skin to dry her face, and then went out again.
Sitting down on the stone next to the fire, Ji Nuan turned to Ge Xing and asked, "Uncle, how are the injured orcs doing?"
Ge Xing handed her a piece of roasted at, "This morning, the old shaman from the Dashi Tribe ca by and said the two orcs with bone injuries are resting and the orc with stomach injuries still hasn’t woken."
Ji Nuan took a bite of the steaming roast, cooled her mouth by breathing, then replied, "That’s normal. With the dose of dicine I gave him yesterday, he should wake up this afternoon. I also need to go put so dicinal powder on his wound later. Otherwise, he’ll be in extre pain when he wakes."
Ge Xing nodded, "That’s true. The wound really is too large; it’s painful just to look at."
Ji Nuan laughed, "He’s still doing well, all things considered. Dashi Tribe, Gray Bear Tribe, and ng Tai were able to provide enough Divine Wood Powder to stop his bleeding. If the bleeding was too excessive, even after my treatnt, he wouldn’t have survived."
Ge Xing nodded, "So, when you asked him yesterday if he felt cold, you were checking if he’d lost too much blood? I rember as a child, my uncle was gored by a wild beast and was constantly bleeding. He was always cold before he died."
Ji Nuan nodded, "That’s correct. It’s easy to manage external wounds, but once too much blood is lost, there’s nothing I can do."
As Ji Nuan said this, her previously delicious fragrant roast seed to lose so of its flavor. The treatnt conditions in the Beast World were terrible. For sothing like blood transfusion, she was absolutely helpless.
