Ya Li watched the excitent coursing through the large tiger as it retreated into the distance and furrowed his brows in confusion, wondering if the dim-witted tiger was off to mooch food and drinks at Ji Nuan’s house again.
Ji Nuan was clearing weeds from the cornfield when she saw a black and yellow striped tiger head peering out from the corner of the wall. The cautious expression on its face made her chuckle, "Mo Qi? Are you here to help again?"
Sensing that Ji Nuan had discovered her presence, Mo Qi strode out, "I do not have to go hunting today, so I ca to see if there is anything I can help with."
Ji Nuan pointed to the weeds in the field, "You ca just in ti. If these weeds are not cleared, the corn won’t grow properly. It’s too much for alone to handle."
The simple-minded tiger was taken aback when Ji Nuan ntioned that the corn wouldn’t grow because of the weeds. Unthinkable!
If the corn doesn’t grow, there won’t be any sweet cornstalks to eat. Could it bear this? Absolutely not!
It solemnly nodded its head, transford into an orc, and squatted in the field to pull out the weeds. Seeing the large orc huddle low, plucking the grass one by one, she couldn’t help but be amused by this sight.
The weeds were plentiful, but the orc’s speed was unmatched. In less than an hour, everything was cleared. Ji Nuan threw the fresh greens into the enclosure of the Giggle Beast and Gagabeast.
She walked into the kitchen, cut out a small piece of beehive, wrapped it in a large leaf, and handed it over to a beaming Mo Qi, "Thank you for your help today, Mo Qi."
Mo Qi awkwardly scratched the back of his head and cautiously accepted the large leaf from Ji Nuan. The drooling look on her face made Ji Nuan burst into laughter.
"Well... I should be going then. If you need more help in the future, feel free to call for ." With that, he waved his large hand, transford into a tiger, and ran off with the beehive in his mouth.
Ji Nuan paused mid-wave and murmured to herself, "I should call on you less in the future... Otherwise, my small stash of beehive won’t last for this big tiger’s consumption."
"Oh, Ji Nuan! You knew I was coming and purposely waited here for ?" ca Ge Xing’s voice from the left.
Ji Nuan turned and rolled her eyes, "Uncle, please don’t flatter yourself. I was just sending Mo Qi off."
Upon hearing this, Ge Xing’s eyes lit up with the fla of gossip. He moved closer to Ji Nuan with a sly grin, "So, Ji Nuan, you like orc-like Mo Qi now?"
"Like what kind of orc?" a cool magnetic voice resounded from behind them, making the hair on Chief Ge Xing’s head stand on end.
Suddenly turning his head to see who it was, he awkwardly chuckled, "Oh, it’s you Xiu Yan...nothing... haha... nothing."
Xiu Yan’s deep eyes t Ji Nuan’s, a hint of bitterness hidden within them.
Ji Nuan felt a headache coming and smirked, "Mo Qi ca to help just now. I gave him so honey from the buzzing insects, and then sent him off. Uncle Clan Leader saw ."
Xiu Yan responded coldly, "So that dumb tiger ca to mooch again?"
Although amused at Xiu Yan’s description of Mo Qi, Ji Nuan nodded in agreent.
Seeing that both of them were ignoring him, Ge Xing hastily moved closer, eager to assert his presence, "Uh... uh... cough... I have sothing important to say."
