The team transporting the iron ore had already replaced their personnel twice, and the iron ore outside the Dashi Tribe was almost completely exhausted. Ji Nuan finally had his own kitchen knife, hoe, shovel, and a small dicinal spade, plus a small dagger that seed more delicate compared to the long swords of the orcs.
However, the quantity of iron ore was still not sufficient to provide a long sword for each orc. So, Clan Leader Ge Xing organized a competition amongst the orcs in his tribe. Until there were enough long swords, the competition was held once a month. Only the top-ranking orcs could possess an iron long sword.
...
The Eneru Forest appeared particularly bustling this year. They had just seen off a group of orcs from the Serra Tribe, yet surprisingly, another group of towering orcs had arrived at the sa location.
Compared to the Serra tribesn, these orcs were even more robust. They sported long hair, held in place on their foreheads using a vine, and tied into a knot at the back of their heads. The upper halves of their bodies were adorned with identical red patterns.
The leader was a rugged-looking Orc with brown hair. His solid, yet not overly-exaggerated muscles were a testant to masculine strength.
He slightly furrowed his brows and asked the orcs behind him, "How many slave beasts did we lose this ti?"
The Orc’s expression was also solemn, "Only around a dozen are left. For so reason, there are a lot more strange fish in the river here than on our side."
He looked around, "We brought 300 orcs here, but less than thirty have safely made it. ng Tai, was it worth losing so many slave beasts for two small mountain forest tribes?"
ng Tai’s deep brown eyes stared at the Orc, "The Serra Tribe sent two heirs to woo the major tribes from the other mountains; don’t you know what they are plotting? How can we just stand by and watch them snatch away our position as the primary trading tribe?"
The Orc sighed, "I’ll arrange for so orcs to scout the road ahead."
ng Tai nodded, then turned to call a few orcs, "You few, co hunt with ."
He then turned to the remaining orcs, "The rest of the tribe should rest here, but remain vigilant."
The orcs all nodded in unison, "Yes!"
"ng Tai, why is there so little ga in this forest? And why is it all small ga?" The orcs were frustrated as they caught several long-eared beasts.
Had Eneru Forest really beco so barren?
"Less talk, more hunting. I just saw a tribal marking in this forest. This is a claid forest; we can’t stay here long." ng Tai turned and said.
The orcs nodded, even though they were surprised that such a barren forest would be claid by a tribe, but that wasn’t their concern, since they were the ones sneaking around hunting in other’s territories.
"ng Tai! ng Tai!" A sowhat panicked voice from the scouting orcs up ahead made ng Tai’s eyebrows instantly furrow.
He imdiately ran to the front, sternly saying, "Outside, we must keep our voice down. Do you want the native tribes around to discover us by shouting loudly like that?"
The orc quickly covered his mouth, raising his other hand to point fearfully at a place not far away.
ng Tai was almost lost for words at this dumbfounded orc, "Put your hand down and talk. Just keep your voice down."
The orc stuttered, "Ahea...ahead... there’s...there’s a giant beast!"
