"We... we still have to drink potion?" Ada wanted to observe the healing process.
Ji Nuan pointed to his sowhat deford leg: "The effects are about to kick in. Are you sure you want to experience the exhilarating sensation of having your broken leg reset directly?"
Although Ada didn’t quite understand what kind of exhilarating feeling Ji Nuan the Shaman was talking about, he did clearly hear the phrase "break the leg again."

Decisively, a bowl of potion sent Ada into sleep once again. Ji Nuan turned her head to look at Awa: "Do you want to stay here or step out?"
Awa moved to a slightly distant spot, ensuring she wouldn’t block the light but could still observe her brother’s condition: "I’ll stay here."
Ji Nuan didn’t mind, but before starting the procedure, she earnestly reminded Awa: "No matter what you see, don’t interrupt . Understand?"
Startled by her seriousness, Awa nodded like a pecking chick: "Mm-hmm, I promise I’ll stay quiet."
Only then did Ji Nuan turn back, putting on her mask and Snake Slough Gloves.
She first felt around the deford part of Ada’s leg for a while and then turned her head to nod at Xiu Yan, drawing a circle around the protruded area.
Xiu Yan, who also wore Snake Slough Gloves, gripped the two sides of the circle with his hands and applied force.
Awa’s pupils shrank suddenly, and she pressed her lips tightly shut. She could hardly believe that resetting her brother’s broken bone turned out to be such a straightforward and rough thod as described by Ji Nuan the Shaman.
Looking at her sleeping brother, she instantly felt that he was truly fortunate at this mont. Without that miraculous potion, his screams now would certainly not be softer than they were yesterday.
Seeing that Xiu Yan had already broken the leg bone again, Ji Nuan stepped forward to position the broken bones back to their original place.
Xiu Yan handed over a stone bowl filled with dark dicine clay.
Ji Nuan evenly applied the dicine clay onto the freshly connected bones, wrapped it up with cotton cloth, and then fixed Ada’s leg with a previously prepared splint.

"Shaman, is my brother cured now?"

Ji Nuan removed her mask: "I’ve done everything I can. The rest is up to you. Rember, absolutely no movent of his leg before it heals.

Hearing this, Awa instantly felt a heavy sense of responsibility.

Watching their figures disappear beyond the stone door, Awa finally sat down beside the grass bed: "Brother, get well soon. I just saw it – Ji Nuan the Shaman has reset your leg bone. The big bump that protruded before is gone, and now it looks as if it was never injured.
Once you’ve healed, let’s go hunting together. When the sandstorm clears, the Desert Wolves and Great-horned Beasts will surely co out to look for food."
