Xiu Yan released his little companion from his embrace, his deep eyes shimring as if containing the stars themselves, his voice low and magnetic as if to ensnare Ji Nuan’s soul: "Is Nuannuan not afraid of Lord Beast God’s punishnt?"
Enthralled by the Orc’s handso features, Ji Nuan swallowed and hurriedly struggled to turn her head away: "Lord Beast God entrusted with this task in hopes that I could teach these things to his people. We are all children of Lord Beast God; he will not find fault with us."
The light in Xiu Yan’s eyes sparkled, as if he had returned to his youthful days as a cub: "Good, I want to learn how to write Nuannuan’s na."
Ji Nuan felt a warmth in her heart and chuckled, picking up a brush beside her and writing her own na on the piece of Beast Skin, right next to Xiu Yan’s na.
Having written for so many years in her previous life in China, she had never felt like this; just writing their two nas together filled her with excitent and happiness.
Ji Nuan glanced at the tall and aloof Orc beside her, fearing that this one might be her beloved.
After learning to write for a while, Ji Nuan did not expect that Xiu Yan would have such a natural talent for recognizing characters. She had only taught him the correct stroke order a few tis, yet he was already able to write both of their nas.

The next morning, Harry and the others rose early; the wind had picked up the night before, and although it was not strong, the temperature was colder than usual.
Tuya was awakened by the cold in the middle of the night, and it was only after Norz transford into his beast form and wrapped her up that she could sleep soundly until dawn.
There was still so food left from what Xiu Yan had given them yesterday. They knew all too well how scarce food was in this area, so they were very frugal with their food and water.

So movent finally ca from another tent, and the Beast Skin curtain was lifted as the tall and aloof Orc stepped out.
Without giving them a glance, he went straight to one side to start preparing food.

After Ji Nuan had eaten, Xiu Yan cleaned up and the group of beasts then prepared to set off.
Ji Nuan waved to Harry and the others: "Shaman Harry, co here for a mont."
The beasts approached Ji Nuan; after all, the chilling glare from the Orc beside Shaman Ji Nuan was too incisive for them.
Ji Nuan moved to the side of a Cal and patted its hump. The tall Cal snorted and slowly lay down on the sandy ground.
Ji Nuan then looked at Norz: "Let Tuya mount."
