Crunch Crunch Crunch

"Was that really necessary, Traveler Thurston," Garret stated with glazed-over eyes filled with annoyance.

"I haven't eaten since getting here and was hungry," Gulping down the last of his nutrition bar, Aoni sheepishly scratched the back of his head before looking down at his feet.

"Sigh, that doesn't warrant devouring sothing that potentially doesn't belong to you,"

Although it may seem abrupt and out of character for Aoni, Which it TOTALLY WAS, it really wasn't the Lad's doing.

| Eat the bar quickly |

Tilting his vision to the right slightly, Aoni reread the words written by his Attribute Notice and was glad he'd acted without hesitation.

'That was a misstep, wasn't it?'

| Indeed, considering you used several plants and pieces of at consisting of 2-Star sources. The goal is to prove to the Overseers that you don't have any worth to them, and if they understand you have access to higher-grade resources, they will take note of it. |

"Whatever; I don't want to have to search you, but if you have any more of those nutrition bars, hand them over now." Stepping a bit closer to Aoni, Garret narrowed his eyes and examined every inch of the Lad, causing him to tremble slightly before turning the multiple pockets on his trousers inside out and revealing them to be empty.

"Hm, fine,"

DEET DEET BEEP

"The examiners have arrived; let's go," tossing his thoughts to the side after casting a final glance back at Aoni, Garret swiped his access card against the terminal to the right of the tal door, triggering multiple locks to click, and it to slide into the wall with a pressurized hiss.

"Sir's, Madam, Yellow-Overseer Garret Newlin here with Orange-Tier Traveler Thurston." Stepping into the room and bowing to the three individuals sitting behind a large table, Garret went back into professional mode, sothing to be expected, considering all of the examiners outranked him by a significant amount.

"Oh? A newly awakened and already at 3-Stars, that's sothing you don't see every day." Following behind Garret, the instant Aoni walked in, the bald man on the far end of the table spoke up, earning nods of approval from the other two examiners.

"Weird though, why all three of us, Tristian and Mark, I understand, seeing as their Tradeskills are similar, but for to be here, that's quite out of the ordinary," the person in the middle of the table, a middle-aged woman who looked to be in the pri of her life asked with one eyebrow cocked as she examined the report appearing on her Tablet.

Her words, having been directed at Garret, drew a chorus of questioning sounds from the two n, causing him to step forward and direct their attention to what Aoni assud to be his profile right as the door hissed and slamd shut behind him.

"Traveler Thurston has a broad Spectrum Crafting Attribute; as such, the exam requires your three distinct talents to give a proper judgnt."

"So he can make not only Armor and clothing but also weapons," The third person, a man who looked to be around 60 years old and the person closest to Aoni, asked.

"That is correct, Senior Garrland,"

"Just Mark is fine; although we are here in an official capacity, I detest being called by my last na as if we are in the military." Waving his hand, the older man, who was dawned in the fanciest clothing Aoni had ever seen in his life, mused dismissively, earning a chuckle from the portly bald man on the opposite end of the table.

"So of us actually served; keep your idiocy to a minimum today, Mark," Rolling her eyes, the lady cursed before motioning for Garret to wait outside and for Aoni to co closer.

Giving a curt nod, Garret stepped forward and handed over the backpack to the woman in the center of the table, then swapped places with Aoni before ducking out of the room and shifting all the focus onto the Lad instead.

"Now, first things first, for the record, State your Na, Overall Rank, Affiliation, and Attribute." Taking charge of the examination, the woman, who had yet to introduce herself, spoke with a clear and concise tone, instantly making Aoni feel like he was standing before a judge in court for so sort of cri.

For a mont, Aoni found himself resisting the urge to tense his body, but after a second of thought, he knew there wasn't much he could do apart from following everything his AN would say.

"Yes, Ma'am, my na is Aoni Thurston, and I have an overall Rank of E-. I am not affiliated with any organization apart from Tavaries Academy, where I haven't officially conducted my graduation ceremony yet, and my attribute is called Practical Crafting."

"Hmm, I see here that you've received the standard Governnt subsidy. Do you fully understand what is to be expected of you?" The woman asked while placing down her Tablet, having presumably read enough.

"Ma'am, all I know is that I was supposed to bring whatever resources I could locate within my Territory, of which I have brought samples of everything I could get my hands on."

For a mont, the woman didn't say anything and instead reached for the backpack Garret had placed on the table; however, the mont she undid the buckle keeping the covering flap in place, her eyes widened slightly before tilting her body to the side and showing it to Mark.

"Interesting; I know what you wish to ask Maevis, and I can confirm it is handcrafted, not summoned; the stitching is extrely crude but falls in line with the standard stitching technique in the Academy Curriculum." Mark, who Aoni believed to be the Tailor, said while taking the backpack from the woman Maevis and examining its interior carefully.

"This also isn't spatial manipulation; although similar, what I am seeing is in no way a separate pocket dinsion; instead, it's more like a brute force expansion of the dinsions of the pack. Kind of like overfilling a plastic bag too much; it will stretch but not exceed a certain limit."
