From the ti young children learn about how amazing it would be to beco a traveler, there is one monunt they all wish to one day step foot inside. As Aoni crossed the threshold into the Trafalgar City Traveler's Bureau, it took quite a bit of effort on his part to contain any outward excitent he was feeling.

It wasn't that the place was completely unknown; in fact, it was quite the opposite. With a few strokes of a keyboard, one could find millions of videos and all types of content where the internal structure of the TB building would be put on display; however, seeing it through a screen and getting the opportunity to step foot inside one of these perfectly replicated buildings was sothing else entirely.

That's right, replicated; you didn't read it wrong. The mont Aoni walked in, he got hit by a wave of familiarity, not unlike what he would get from stepping into his school because every one of the Traveler's Bureau Buildings used the sa blueprint, materials, and layout.

From the sa marble flooring to the color of the paint and even the decorations, it was a perfect 1 to 1 clone of the original building standing in the capitol, creating a uniformity that established a distinguished level of power unheard of with anything else on Terra.

There were several reasons behind this decision, and while the truth behind it was only known to the Monarch, most people just chalked it up to keeping a static platform across the board.

In this way, no matter which Bureau Building a traveler entered, they wouldn't be lost, and they would know exactly where to go to complete their objectives.

More importantly, even as a Newly Awakened who'd never stepped foot in the Traveler's Bureau headquarters before, Aoni already knew where he was being brought.

"Please wait here for a mont, Traveler Thurston; once the room is free, we will begin your registration process before moving on to the Examination." Not one to beat around the bush and keeping his professional tone, Garret stood outside the door, tapping away on his tablet, leaving Aoni to stand awkwardly by the side.

'This place is just as active as the videos show; it's like a bee hive of people constantly bustling around,' even if he was playing it lowkey, Aoni's eyes subtly darted around, noticing every sign of movent and struggling not to look like so hick from the middle of nowhere.

He was rely a lower-class citizen with no financial backing, and even the Travelers in his family were considered peasants when compared to people like that young master from class 1-A.

'The difference in class is still apparent though…' With a hidden frown, he saw that everyone but him and a few people his age all wore clip-on access cards with their pictures on them.

These access cards, depending on their color, represented the current Grade of the Traveler's Attribute, and as you'd expect, they all had the sa color sche as those found with the Flus.

Taking a peek at Garret's access card, he noticed it was surprisingly Yellow.

'I should be getting an Orange Card…' Bringing up his M-Stat and seeing that it displayed three stars, Aoni blinked twice before closing it and breathing softly.

'Realistically, I would be a Red Card, but because of what happened, I'll get to skip the line; even so, I'm still near the bottom of the food chain, but at least it isn't the very bottom.' Taking a mont to think about how the majority of Newbie Travelers would, at best, be either Grey or Red-Cards, Aoni felt a hint of satisfaction, just a hint, before the screams of "Steady" took over his mind.

Before Aoni could let his head get too inflated, the soft click followed by the opening of a door drew his attention, as a young girl wearing a red card ca out trailing behind a man with a similar yellow card to Garret stepped forward.

"Rooms all yours, Garret, Traveler Lorent, follow ; it's ti for your examination."

"Eep, okay," acting ekly and refusing to look away from the ground, the girl, who was a full head shorter than Aoni, was swept away by the Yellow-Card, leaving Garret to shoot him an annoyed look.

"Co on; we have to stick to the schedule," Spinning on his heels and entering the room, Garret stood beside and waited until Aoni stepped in before closing the door and tapping his Access card against a small panel, triggering multiple locks to set.

However, none of that mattered because the instant Aoni set foot inside the practically empty room, he was overco by nervousness.

White tile walls, which were indistinguishable from the floor and ceiling, gave it almost a hospital feel, and if it weren't for the vents pumping air into the room, it would be no different from a vacuum-sealed death trap.

Still, that wasn't what made him nervous; instead, it was the globe-like object smack dab in the center of the room that caused Aoni to begin sweating.

He knew what it was; every traveler knew what it was, considering this terrifying Artifact would lay everything bare for the world to see.

Orb of Perception.

These three words, which could either destroy or make a person, were the end all be all when it ca to determining a Traveler's information.

Similar to the tablets each observer or staff mber carried, the Orb was capable of sending a signal to a traveler's TD or SD and gathering every spec of data from them before displaying it in real-ti to anyone watching.

This Artifact had destroyed the lives of billions of people, yet at the sa ti, it had made just as many rich beyond belief.

"Traveler Thurston, please step forward and place both hands on the Orb of Perception, and open your Traveler's Display." Being a man who had worked for the Bureau for so ti, Garret had been through this process so many tis that he'd stopped caring about how his attendees would react upon seeing the Orb, so when Aoni hesitated, he rely cleared his throat once and gave a command.

'Uh…do I open my…'

| M-Stat, don't bother using the standard command; your Modified Displays will take the place of your original ones, overriding the process and keeping up appearances |

'Right,' Taking three steps forward, Aoni arrived before the large Orb, which was wider than his shoulders, stretched out both arms, and placed his open palms on either side of it before giving the ntal command directed by his AN.
