Legendary Traveler: By Earning Progress Points I will Become Supreme! Chapter 115 The Hibernators Awaken (3)
"Cheee cheee!"
'Big Brother, Hurry up; she's going to wake up sooonnn!' Picking up her nest with ease and moving it behind the wall so that it couldn't be seen by Glacia when she ca out, Nyria's chees and adorable voice assaulted both Aoni's ears and mind as he dashed around in a flurry of movent like a chicken without a head.
Ever since they returned back to the camp from the underground cavern, the pair of Aoni and Nyria had been working, with the first task being gathering her asurents for the satchel.
That was how the Lad found out how ticklish his fledgling could be, and after plenty of teasing and pampering, he got the necessary asurents for her pack and began crafting.
Of course, as Curious as she was, Nyria sat by the entire ti, watching with wide eyes filled with wonder as he…in her eyes, "Moved gracefully, as if a master in his artform."
Having heard her complints and chees for every little thing he did, Aoni couldn't curb his budding EGO, and on more than one occasion, tilted his nose to the sky before uttering, "Yep, your Brother is the best,"
Since it wasn't his first or even fifth ti crafting a simple strapped bag, with asurents in hand and plenty of materials to use, it only took Aoni about an hour to complete the project before fitting it to Nyria's belly like a kangaroo pouch.
Originally, he had thought about fitting it like a standard backpack. Still, when he realized that Nyria had a limited range of neck motion and, as such, couldn't easily toss things into a back-mounted pack, he went with sothing far more simple.
The fitting went off without a hitch; however, the testing phase proved disastrous, as each ti the airborne birb banked or turned in the sky, the satchel would shift around, altering her center of gravity and, at one point, nearly knocking her out of the sky.
So, going back to the drawing board, the finalized pack product ended up looking like an old-tiy chest-mounted parachute, wherein the straps crossed over Nyria's back in an X-shaped pattern that allowed her wings to flap unhindered.
Was it perfect? By no ans, but the testing phase went a million tis smoother, as now, even with a full load in her pack, Nyria had zero problems flying even when fully loaded with cargo three tis her weight.
In total, it took around 3 hours before Nyria ventured out to continue exploring, and Aoni spent the remainder of the ti working on his boots.
---
By the ti Nyria returned, there were only 28 minutes left until Glacia was supposed to co out of her hibernation. However, Aoni, completely lost in his crafting project, hadn't noticed until the mont an Overexcited Nyria practically dragged him away by the hood and into the cave.
How did she know that Glacia was about to wake up? Your guess is as good as the pair of Lord and Summon, but for so mysterious reason, Nyria just…knew.
For the record, stumbling into that answer sent Aoni's mind into a full ltdown of theories, but the mont he heard a soft...
"gggaaoooOOOO!" yawn coming from the bedroom, all the thoughts in the Lad's mind faded to nothing.
"OoO?" following the loud yawn from his floof, and the confused OoO, as if she was asking, "The heck everyone go?" Aoni couldn't contain himself…
*Snicker* tightly clasping his hands over his mouth, the Lad fought back laughter because he knew, he just knew; Glacia was sitting on the bed with a dumb look on her face.
"click'
Being the good little sister she was, there was no way that Nyria was going to allow her Lord to tease the groggy floof, so getting close to Aoni's ear, she softly clicked her beak and then spoke.
'Brother…don't tease her…'
*ppfffttt, snicker*
*NUDGE*
Using her full body weight, Nyria nudged into Aoni's shoulder, which only served to make him break even more when the following…
"OooO?" ca out of the bedroom.
*SNICKER*
"CHEEEE!"
"GASP!" Shooting Nyria a look of utter betrayal, Aoni didn't have to speak birb to understand his fledgling had just told Glacia of their whereabouts, making him unintentionally gasp aloud. Discover exclusive tales on My Virtual Library Empire
And that's when a dium-sized, fluffy, white missile ca barreling out of the bedroom with a loud…
"GAOOOOOoOoooOOo!" and slamd into Aoni before he could even prepare himself.
BOOOOM!!!
Unable to utter even so much as a whimper, Glacia tackled the Lad with such force that they both hit the ground and skidded nearly 10 feet away from the point of impact.
"GAOo GAoooo OoO GAOOO!!" Glacia shouted right in Aoni's face before rubbing her entire head on his chest and throwing blind, light-handed paw attacks at him.
"Ahh Ahh, Nyria Hallppp! Glacia's tryina kill eee!" Howling as if he were actually being killed, little did the Lad know that Glacia, having had enough of being teased, went on the offensive and even enlisted her little sister in her revenge plot.
FLAP, FLAP, WACK WACK.
Then, with two loud flapping sounds and a loud…
"Chee cheeeee!"
Nyria turned coat and joined Glacia in attacking Aoni in tandem with a combination of soft tailwhips and wing slaps.
"TRAITTOORRRRS!!!!" Fighting back the tears of laughter as he was buffeted on all sides by his summons, Aoni really couldn't believe this was his life now, and for the first ti since jumping into the Flu, he thought…
'This isn't so bad…' that is until Glacia got a little too hyper and accidentally headbutted him in the nose, making him see stars.
---
Around 10 minutes of roughhousing later, things in the cave finally began settling down, and Aoni was able to get a good look at his new and improved Floof.
Unlike the last ti he had seen her, she had nearly doubled in size, rivaling a full-grown border collie in both height and weight.
If before the hibernation she was a cute puppy, now she was…well, still an adorable puppy, albeit nearly 3 tis the size of one.
Packing on nearly 40 pounds of heft and standing at almost two feet tall when on all fours, Glacia was becoming a unit, as even though she was fluffy as usual, under all that white floof were dense muscles.
