For several minutes after her departure, Aoni stood staring off into the distance, searching for any sign of Nyria. Unfortunately, between the clouds and the blue skies peaking through, his fledgling was virtually invisible to his lackluster eyesight.

"Sigh, well, it's not like she can get lost; we do live at the highest point of the mountain," releasing a tired chuckle, Aoni tore his eyes away from the sky and grunted while examining his surroundings.

"What I'd give for a butler or maid who can run around taking care of tasks for ," with slumped shoulders, Aoni tossed away his depressive thoughts and entered the cave before retrieving his yardstick.

"Fucking stupid yardstick, couldn't even summon a stupid tape asure," one profanity after another spewed out of his mouth as the Lad began the challenging process of getting as precise of a asurent as possible for the mouth of the cave.

But that was when the first hiccup occurred…he was too short, and the yardstick wasn't long enough to reach the top of the cave's entrance.

Flaring his nostrils in frustration, Aoni began stacking random objects on the floor, using them as step stools, and after nearly falling to his death (not really) several tis, he'd co up with as close of a asurent as possible.

Of course, unlike taking the asurents of a flat surface, Aoni ended up being forced into calculating the radius and several other dinsions before sitting down with his notebook and sketching.

THANKFULLY, after over an hour of looking between his notebook, the wall, and the cave's entrance, he exhaled a sigh of relief because the wall was actually a bit larger than the mouth. As such, all he would need to do is cut away the excess until it would fit the hole.

Now, so may wonder, if the wall was actually bigger than the cave's mouth, how was it possible for Aoni to get into the cave in the first place? And well, that's fairly simple; it was originally a bunch of logs, duh.

He'd dragged one felled tree after another into the cave and mixed up so glue out of a collection of saps, bone dust, salt, and several other materials. It took so testing, but once two logs had been jigged out into puzzle pieces and were glued together, he would shave away at them, and that was how the walls and floor of the cave were transford.

Was it easy? Hell no. Did Aoni end up getting pissed off and throwing a fit? More than once, but he still got it done.

Basically, he'd made a giant glued-together wooden puzzle, and now, all he had to do was match the width of the cave's entrance to that of the wall, slash the top part into a circular arch, and boom, DOOR! Er…or a big wooden block that can block the entryway.

Once again, overlooking simple facts, like the imnse weight and size of such an object as a big block of wood, Aoni put down his sketch pad for a mont before shrugging.

"Ah…that's a problem too; with how heavy the door will be, I need solid hinges; welp, since I can't tear down the wall yet, I may as well get to work on the hinges instead."

And so, off Aoni went to create multiple, basic ass wooden hinges, which in a sense, weren't too complicated. All they really were were flat pieces with combed teeth on one end that fitted together. Then, once they were rounded and whatnot, a pin was slid through the center, locking them in place and allowing for flexible motion.

Technically, the hardest part was carving out the rounded teeth and drilling the hole, but these were already problems he had solved by making so hand-drill bits out of Chira bone.

The minor project, which, if attempted days ago, could have taken a week of prep work, ended up only taking about two hours and resulting in 8 sets of matching hinges the size of Aoni's hand.

'Brother, I found sothing weird; there's a big hole in the mountain, and when I went to investigate, it was a cavern filled with glowing stones and a massive lake.'

Right as he was about to return to the cave, the sweet voice of his fledgling entered Aoni's head, making him smile before digesting her words and wearing a slight frown.

'I know for a fact that the entrance Glacia located was buried under snow, and while Nyria's Dynamic Vision could spot it, she is smart enough to locate the path leading from our cave down the mountain and to the Cavern.' Placing the hinges down on his desk, Aoni quickly spun around and left the cave before heading out onto the platform and looking in the direction he knew the cavern was located.

'Not to ntion the fact that it's part of Glacia's routine to dig out that path daily, so she's already shown it off…that can only an that either this is a second formation, which I highly doubt, or she found another entrance.'

'Anddd, of course, I can't ask her through the LoS yet, leaving only one other choice,' cupping his hands around his mouth, Aoni began yelling instructions to Nyria for her to return.

Luckily, she must have been within earshot because no sooner did he finish yelling into the void of nothing than he got back a ntal response.

'Okay, I'm not too far away, I'll head back now,'

Less than five minutes later, an overhead Chee drew the Lad's attention as he caught sight of his summon executing an aerial roll and flashing her white feathers toward him in a visual display he could recognize.

'Heh this girl, she knows it's hard for to spot her from down here due to the color of her belly feathers, so she spun around like a fighter jet,' Shaking his head, Aoni extended out his right arm, like a giant perch, and with a final FWOOSHH FLAP, Nyria carefully landed like a trained falcon on his arm while being extrely careful not to slice him open with her impressively large talons.

"Sorry to cut your ti short, but did you have fun on your mission?" Aoni asked, rubbing Nyria's head and giving her so around-the-beak scratches.

"Chee chee cccchhheee,"

'Yepyep, it's so pretty up there, and I found so stuff for my nest but had to leave them behind to return when you called.'
