It was now night and Lucas was sitting with everyone in the camp.
His hand was completely healed and nobody knew the aggressive punching he had involved himself in.
"Tell everything now, Bill." He said in calm and everybody was surprised.
Bill felt even more relaxed and started, "The Kobolds are far but still inside the territory, their numbers are 10 and they have set up a rather odd-looking camp. There are leaves on the ground where they are staying, I think they use the leaves as a bed. They are very huge too."
Bill said while stopping again and again in between sentences as if he had the habit of telling a story only he was very bad at it.
Lucas looked at John and then at Jerry as if asking for their advise.
Jerry was surprised but it didn't stop him from grinning and roaring yet again, "I say we bash their skulls again, I didn't get a chance to fight anything all this ti!"
Lucas nodded in agreent making others feel like this was the very reason he wanted Jerry to speak his mind.
"I think we are ready enough," John said and everyone's eyes moved to him. Most of them were surprised.
"Ugh… it's ti to fight again." Sean said groaning in the middle of the unofficial eting.
"Who says you have to go?" Lucas asked with confusion.
"Hm?" Now it was ti for everyone to look at Lucas with surprise and a questioning gaze.
"I just told you, no one has to do anything other than their roles, only , the healer, and the fighting roles will go."
"Oh my god! YAY!" Sean got up and jumped with his arms above his head.
"Sean, behave." Ella said with a perplexed face. She looked at Lucas and then at John, it seed she wanted to say sothing yet the words were not coming out.
"Anybody can co if they want, it should not be forced," Lucas said while looking at Ella who now had a relaxed face.
She nodded in gratitude toward him and he just smiled.
"Alright, I can't wait anymore. As the leader, I am ordering that we will leave in the morning. Who I know will go with are- Jerry, Bill, Sandra, and Sarah."
"Only them?" Mike asked with bewildernt. Clearly not all for the idea.
"More than enough but whoever wants to co can tell anyti."
"" Ella said.
"" John said.
"Uncle John, you can't go." Lucas stated with strictness and it was hi turn to be annoyed.
"And why is that, I thought it was our decision."
"It is but I am only saying this because there needs to be soone back here to protect the ones that will be doing their duties while we are gone."
"Then Ella, you are not going too." John said to Ella who titled her head.
"Why is that? I want to help and I am the beast master, beasts are supposed to help in fights."
"But I can't protect you if I am not going. And how will you use these beasts? You have not fought with them at all."
"I don't need protection and I need experience anyway."
Lucas stayed quiet, he did not know what to say. It was the first ti Lucas had seen them both fight and he was not expecting to be in the situation of a leader who had to stop them from fighting.
"Both of you… please be quiet. You can discuss whether to go or not in private."
"Hm, I suppose I can wait," John said and snorted, it was a rare occasion, to see John all angry.
Ella did not say anything and stayed quiet.
"You should also know one thing, we don't need many people to fight these kobolds. I am thinking of playing smart and defeating them before they even see us." Stay tuned to My Virtual Library Empire
"How will we do that?" Jerry asked wanting to change the subject already. Nobody liked a fighting couple anyway.
Yet so were having fun watching them as so sort of an entertainnt escape after such a long ti.
"We will be doing a sneak attack. They don't know that we are going to attack them this early. Do they seem ready to you, Bill?"
"No, they seem to be a very barbarian species, not making any settlent and just living in nature like it is normal. I saw them alive for the first ti and aside from so claws nd strength, I couldn't see any intelligence."
"We will make a battle plan in the night. Till then, get ready and whoever wants to join, tell before dawn."
Just like that, everyone went with their own things again completing their duties and having leisure ti.
Lucas gave so ti to John and Ella to talk and after they shouted at each other in the basent, everything beca normal aside from one thing.
"Lucas, you will protect her with your life," John said staring into Lucas's eyes while holding his shoulders tight.
"Alright, Uncle John. I thought this was already established." Lucas said while holding in his laugh which was very hard at this point.
"No, you don't get it. She is not listening to and I don't want to get mad at her. So, you have to keep her way back always without letting her get a single scratch, alright?"
Lucas thought this was all very unreasonable yet he knew where John was coming from.
"I will not, and to be honest. I haven't told you sothing yet."
"Oh god, what is it?"
"Nothing bad, it's just. I will fight most of them on my own." Lucas said with a grin on his face.
It was sothing very immature that he said, it seed childish yet John knew differently. He was good at reading faces and that was the face of a person who was confident in his abilities and who had already made his mind.
"Sigh… there is no stopping you. But please co harmless alright. And keep my wife safe!"
Lucas was surprised that the guy had not scolded him so he just nodded with a smile to get the hell away from him before he changed his mind.
