After they were all done with the counting of the mana stones in the storage room. John finally got the final number.
"… 401 Mana stones."
"Are you kidding ?!" Lucas couldn't help but be baffled after knowing the numbers.
"How do we have so many, Dad?" Even Barney couldn't help but have disbelief toward the number.
"At this stage of our trades, I mostly ask for mana stones and less at as we already have a lot of it. It seems I have accumulated a lot of the stones inside the storage."
"But why do people give us these stones to begin with, aren't they like super precious or sothing?" Sean asked making John look at Lucas.
"There are too many questions about the topic so let's have a eting about it so that we don't have to explain everything again and again. Uncle John. Can you set it up in an hour?"
"No problem"
Just like that, they all got out of the workshop with the cauldron, smoke bomb and the leather arm guard in tow.
It was difficult to take the cauldron up as it was filled to the brim.
When they were done and the cauldron was inside the storage that was now sowhat organized.
Lucas could really see a small hill of glowing stones at the corner of the storage. The mana stones together looked like big, crude diamond hill that didn't need light to shine and had their own.
They were like precious gems on Earth and the way that they were kept truly made Lucas pity their existence in the shelter.
He got so cups and a tray to help get the potion to everyone. He wanted everyone to try it so he kept 11 cups in a big tray at the center of the shelter's lobby where everyone slept.
"What are these, Lucas? Tea party?" Haley asked while laughing when she saw Lucas keeping the tea in the center.
Lucas just smiled and moved while so words ca out of his mouth, "There is a eting in 30 minutes, be ready."
After he got out of the shelter, Lucas took a breather of air. It felt fresh. His gaze went beyond the shelter's defense. It was hard to look beyond them as the defenses were now better than before. There were now many gaps in them.
Yet the gate had a small window in it. And from there, Lucas could see the forest.
It was not enough and he opened the gate of the defenses to have the complete look.
The forest in front of the shelter which was at first burnt to a crisp was now green again, the grass was even lusher as if the burning had made the soil even fertile.
'I know that burning techniques are used on a farm to make it filled with nutrients again but seeing it with my very eyes is different.' He thought while a smile ford on his face.
This was his territory, his place that he called ho.
He was a leader, a man that had the responsibility of 10 people on his shoulder. To feed them and provide accommodation, he had to give many things just like a country gives to its people.
Lucas felt like he owned a small village, he was their village leader, and taking care of everyone in the village was his responsibility.
It was not a democracy, but a dictatorship. Yet Lucas didn't like the concept of dictatorship for now, he felt that the people in such a land were beneficial to get ideas from.
Lucas took a stroll in the forest so that he could train his skills 'Herbalism' and 'Perceptive Eyes' again for the day.
'I have been taking the route from the back of the shelter for a while now…' He thought and willed to go straight this ti.
There was a reason that he didn't go there and the problem was still the sa.
While the forest looked fresh and green, aside from greenery, there was nothing. No herbs, no special plants, nothing compared to what was there at first.
Lucas knew so herbs were in their growing phase, there were small plants coming out of the soil and only he knew what they were.
To others, their existence could not even be acknowledged as it was hard to observe and detect them if a person didn't have the required skill sets.
He went ahead and ahead until the amount of grown herbs increased than before. Lucas examined many, so with just his eyes, so he touched to see their freshness, and so he even excavated so as to use them in his upcoming potion brewing sessions.
He looked at his skills and smiled, the idea of entering each skill to level 5 was not a threat to him any longer.
Lucas could be considered to have a soft spot when it ca to struggles.
As he could not struggle even a tiny bit since he was a kid, he had empathy and envy toward the people who had struggles.
The sa happened in the Plains of Amaeron too, Lucas got the skill to generate the shelter from scratch in such a desolate place while the others just stayed awake for days on end and slept under dirty logs or caves that were slimy, cold, and wet. Read exclusive content at My Virtual Library Empire
The positive point for everyone was that there were not any insects in this place, Lucas found it bizarre to not see or hear insects yet it was also a relief.
It was better to have no insects than to have malaria and dengue mosquitoes trying to bite and infect everything in the forest.
If the shelter was still not enough, Lucas got the skill to detect the qualities in plants and trees in a place that had only plants and trees of various kinds. This made things much more manageable.
And then ca the group with such expertise and lastly, the at trade. Lucas had at for a year if it didn't spoil or if they used it at their discretion.
He had such abundance that giving so free for marketing and loyalty didn't seem wrong to anyone in the shelter for future growth.
