Lucas held his sword high near his head, the sword was horizontal showing the stance he had taken. His sword proficiency was getting flaunted right now yet no one was there to enjoy it.
Everyone was scared at the start but now everything was becoming more and more stable. The fire that Sarah was emitting was now bigger in order to increase the area that she covers to help everyone have a proper vision.
"I am coming for you…" The voice whispered and it sounded as if the voice was only about 8 ters ahead where the darkness was fully consuming the land.
"Bring it on!!" Lucas shouted to strengthen his resolve, his eyes were now fully focused.
"His debuffs are gone," Bill whispered in Jerry's ears who nodded in response.
Now that their leader was fully functional again, their hopes had once again increased. Now there was a chance to get going still in one piece.
"You can't kill ! Do you know who I am? I am the death itself! Nobody can look at with those defying eyes!!"The hoarse voice said in anger making Lucas beco in better shape.
If the creature in the dark was this reluctant to co in the light to be done with them already, then what was there to be scared of?
"We need to leave," Sandra said with worry clearly written on her face. Her condition was now better than before but she was still very scared.
"We can take this thing on, I know it."
"We don't have to! Just keep walking!" Sandra said in fear when she felt a presence very near to the border of the darkness everyone was observing.
This was the place from where the voice was coming from, if the group were just normal humans, it would have been harder to find where the voice was coming from but after leveling a lot, their heightened senses had the ability to have such hearing that was impossible for normal humans to have.
"Ahhh~~ This is the fear~ This is what I like… Now I need you all more than anything. Do you know how many have I killed like you, their savory souls… Ahhh~ I need more!!"
"Sarah, keep moving forward, this cannot do anything to us, I know how you controlled and Mike! And it was only possible because we went in the dark!"
The revelation made others realize the sa thing, many already knew what was happening as connecting the dots in this case was child's play but one thing was not clear.
"When did you go in the dark?" John asked quickly in order to have a better understanding, he knew if the creature had the guts or ability to co in the light, then it would have done so already.
"When Mike disappeared in the dark, I entered the dark for a few seconds and returned."
Lucas said with embarrassnt as he was the one that told everyone to stay in the light while he went there without any notice.

Sarah started moving and so did the ground while still observing the back where the voice had co from.
They all had made sure that no one was anywhere near the dark, they were in the center of that 8 ters of light.
Aside from Mike who was on Jerry's shoulders and the Basilon kid who was all this ti in an embrace with Ella.
The Basilon Kid not once had opened its mouth and kept its eyes closed as if it was scared beyond asure.
It is true what they say that the natural instincts of an animal are way higher than a human, and with a creature like the Basilon, Lucas knew by fact that the kid's instincts were very high.
He knew through BIll that its strength was high while the stamina was very low but the strangest thing was its mana level. With a newborn animal, one would expect the thing to have just a few points of mana.
But the Basilon kid's mana was in the double digits since it was born and it only seed to increase with each level up and the passing of ti.
"We haven't heard a voice for a while, do you think it has left?" Haley asked while giving Sandra a shoulder to support.
"We don't care about that, just be vigilant and do not make any dumb move. No matter who died in the past, no matter who you see or hear, do not go in the dark. Nothing is real in this fucking place."
Lucas said with confidence making Many breathe deeply. He was right to so degree and it was not really ti to argue.
Any type of encouragent or motivation was highly obliged by everyone at this point.
They traveled and traveled until they thought that they were safe.
"How much ti has passed?"
"No idea…"
"Just keep moving, Jerry hold that firestaff high."
"What firestaff? It's one of the logs that we sit on! It's tough to keep holding it up."
"Just do it, we need a bigger area and you are the only one strong enough to actually be perfect for this." Lucas made the comnt that made Jerry make a proud Hm sound to act tough.
The other just laughed seeing how simple-minded the guy was, this was a good change in the atmosphere that was needed since so ti ago.
"Hahhhhhhh!!"
"What happened?!"
"What the hell?"
Everyone stopped after listening to the scared scream, it was Mike who had just woken up and the first thing that ca out of his mouth was a loud scream.
"Mike Mike… Shhh… You're okay… You're okay now."
Haley had co to the save already and hugged the poor guy tightly in a warm embrace that seed to calm the big guy.
Mike took his dear ti to calm down and after a few minutes, they were able to calm him completely.
"M-My wife… Lily, what happened to her? Did you see her?" Mike asked with crazed eyes and looked everywhere frantically in order to find a certain soone.
"Where is Lily? Tell , Haley!" Mike grabbed Haley by the shoulder tightly with an almost crying face and gritted teeth.
SMACK!
Haley smacked his hands away which was surprisingly very easy. Mike's face was still pale and desperate as if he was holding onto sothing, sothing he deared with his very heart.
Lucas did not know why but he felt this feeling deeply as if he had the understanding for it yet he hadn't experienced the mourning of death before Jimmy ever.
His grandparents were already dead before he was born, surprisingly both sides.
"She is not here Mike, and you know that." Jerry after making so distance between Mike and Haley.
Mike looked at Jerry with a dazed expression, he was out of the loom and pain was evident on his face.
Nobody said anything as they saw tears start flowing out of him, his hands held his eyes in order to not let the others see him cry.
Lucas didn't feel much while looking at him but he realized that this was a very sane reaction, Mike saw his dead wife from years back alive and calling him while he was stopped.
Lucas didn't know if the guy was married again or had the burden of his spouse's death with him for all these years.
The female side of the group had a totally different reaction, Ella had tears welling in her eyes while even people like Sandra had to stop looking at the guy brawling his eyes out just for the love of his life who had died 11 years ago.
Jerry didn't do anything, he kept looking with a solemn expression thinking that it was not the right ti yet Haley had a totally different asure.
She went in and hugged him with all her might showing him that he was not alone. Mike was at first surprised but soon he didn't care as tears kept flowing from his eyes while he embraced her tightly.
It was a truly sad mont and emotions that seed to have dug deep in his heart were now out in the open.
He was vulnerable right now and Lucas wanted to give the guy as much ti as he could.
"How can I be scared of such a fucker who did such a thing to my brother…" Lucas said, his eyes crazed while he looked at the darkness.
There was no lingering fear in him toward it and what the figure he saw in the dark before now was not so much scary anymore.
He wanted to rip the creature to shreds, Mike was like family to Lucas.
So were all the mbers of the group, and apparently, Lucas was not alone, John and Jerry had cold expressions too, for the first ti in their whole life, they were actually excluding bloodlust to get revenge for their brother.
It was ti for retribution and the creature was unknown to it.
