Stepping in, it was dark at first, but quickly enough, white light flittered through, from the white runic chandelier hanging above.

He looked around and wasn’t much surprised.

There was a minimalist design to the living room, with the floor tiled in white.

There was an L-shaped sofa at the center of the room with a glass table before it.

Opposite it was the wall, which had a projection that was currently active, showing motes of astral lights that filtered through the room.

He fully stepped in, quietly locking the door, which made a beep sound, before continuing towards the sofa.

Dropping his backpack, he turned, noticing three more doors.

Checking them out, White discovered a simple bathroom holding a shower and a bathtub, along with a toilet seat on the farther side.

The other room was a bedroom, with just two simple anities.

A large-sized bed that should size about three adults, and a white glass wardrobe through which he could see the uniforms.

The last room was one that drew his attention the most.

It was a dark room, with no visible lights or windows, yet astral purple lights glead off, and its source was what lay at the center of the room:

A large pool, within which was contained a purple-like liquid, which radiated purple mists.

When White stepped closer, he felt his heart pounding in his chest, a strange excitent rumbling within him.

’A pool of condensed essence energy.’

He realized, quiet disbelief in his eyes.

With an entire Mana generator right above their head, it obviously sent essence energy filtering through the tower, but the academy had even made a room with an extra mana conductor that filled up the energy reserve into a pool.

This room was, in essence, a cultivation room.

’They’re really going all out for the students. A bit too all out.’

White mused, excitent fading into caution.

Firstly, they had dipped them into a life cleansing pool the second they had arrived.

That pool could have cost anywhere between a million dollars and 5 million dollars to set up.

And now, there was an entire Mana generator right above their heads, and even their room had a special cultivation room, filled with full essence pools.

This was why getting into an academy was the only way to success.

If you’re an awakener and choose to cultivate in your house, you’d be stuck with absorbing tiny bits of essence from the normal air.

How effective would that be compared to a person sitting in a pool that was filled with essence energy?

It would take you years to achieve what the students from universities like this achieved in a single month.

When White rembered the brutality of the test, how the weak had been wiped out to create the strong, it birthed a strange feeling in his heart.

They got rid of those whom they thought were undeserving, but for those deserving, they treated them like royalty.

It blurred the lines whether Xtrecybers was an evil, uncaring academy that went too far, or a cold and calculating academy.

Whatever they were, the current him couldn’t do a thing about things, so there was no need to worry over it.

He stepped out of the cultivation room, returning to the living room.

Taking a seat on the sofa, he opened the backpack, bringing out its contents.

There wasn’t much actually.

The first was a device box, and opening it, White found a brand-new phone.

It was rectangular in shape, with a screen size of about 7 inches.

It was slim and lightweight, leaving a comfortable feeling in the hand while holding it.

He moved deeper into the bag, finding a box.

There, there were two mory cards along with an instruction manual.

Dipping into the bag, White brought out the last object.

It was a watch, a really bizarre one.

It was thin, too thin, and it had no buckle.

He saw the instruction manual and read through.

Only after that did he grab it and dip one of the mory cards in.

Then he placed it on his right wrist.

The second it touched his skin, it seemingly rged with it, sending rays of light that pulsed through White’s entire body.

Then the light dimd, and White noticed a runic line erge from his hands into the air, revealing a glowing bar that said.

’Scanning...4%.’

According to the instruction manual, the watch can’t be removed once it reached a 100%.

It was an accessing runic watch that bonded with each student, showing necessary academy stats.

It wasn’t a choice but a necessity, and White didn’t bother with it.

He turned away, picking up the second mory card reader and dipping it into his phone.

The second it was in, the screen lit up, showing the sa scanning.

With that, he could only wait, but while he did, his eyes filtered to the projector on the wall.

His curiosity got the better of him, prompting him to rise, but he had yet to take a step when

BEEP!

The phone made a beeping sound, showing that the scanning was already complete.

"Quite fast."

He mused, re-taking his seat and going through the device.

The first thing he noticed was the connection to an unknown WiFi, whose information he couldn’t read, no matter how hard he tapped.

He noticed a couple of unique apps after that, such as Xcybermaps, Xcybersubjects, Xcyberlibrary, Xcybermissions, and he quietly went through each.

Most of them didn’t have much information, seemingly awaiting updates, but one app caught his attention the most, and that was the app that said Xcyberrules.

He already knew the advantages of fully understanding the rules back in the United Earth Federation.

It could help you against an annoying Military instructor, so he sank back into the chair and dived into rule one.

But quickly enough, he slipped out of his relaxed mood, eyes widening in numbed disbelief.

’What the hell?’
