"Pfft—"

In the water behind the yacht, a man in a pitch-black wetsuit with goggles slowly erged.

After waiting a few more minutes to confirm there were no human voices around, the man finally felt at ease and swam towards the yacht.

Having been in the water for nearly an hour, the man's strength had been greatly consud. He struggled to climb onto the yacht, and after removing his oxygen tank, he collapsed directly onto the deck.

"That bastard Vasel."

The man rested for a long ti, taking several deep breaths to finally regain so strength, and cursed Vasel Wen with a dozen obscenities under his breath.

A few seconds later, the man seed to suddenly realize sothing, forced a bitter smile, and struggled up from the deck, preparing to throw his diving suit and other gear into the sea, and then quietly leave according to Vasel Wen's plan.

"Vasel Wen's got a few screws loose, no doubt, but his IQ isn't low."

The man struggled to change clothes, pushed the oxygen tank into the sea, and let out a long breath. Then he turned to get off the boat, muttering to himself,

"Better find sothing to eat. Otherwise, I'll probably have low blood sugar."

"If you're afraid of low blood sugar, a candy or two will do, and I happen to have a couple here."

From the side of the deck, Luo An chuckled and offered the man two candies:

"One's apple-flavored, the other's mango. Which one do you want?"

"..."

The man halted in his tracks, frozen in place, turned his head robotically, his expression stiff, stuttering,

"You... you... you..."

"Don't be scared."

Luo An unwrapped the apple-flavored candy and put it in his mouth, smiling,

"I was just worried you'd be in the water for so long that a shark might bite you."

"How... How are you here?"

The man, Herman from the car, looked as if he'd seen a ghost, his forehead imdiately beading with sweat.

Luo An clapped his hands, and Mona and Reesi, holding weapons, appeared from other sides of the yacht, looking at Herman with blank expressions.

"We can discuss that question later; no need to panic, Mr. Herman."

Luo An chuckled, handed the mango-flavored candy to Herman, and said with a smile,

"We're the good guys."

Click—

Reesi directly disengaged the safety on her pistol.

"..."

Herman's eyelids twitched wildly as he looked at Luo An's smiling face, took a deep breath, and tried to suppress the fear filling his heart.

Vasel Wen's plan had three layers: The first layer involved that swiftly departing speedboat, creating a diversion to make people think they had already left by boat.

The second layer involved this yacht, which could provide a hiding place in case of unforeseen complications.

The third layer was the diving suit and oxygen tank, just in case of a worst-case scenario.

If anything went wrong, Vasel Wen would attract attention, and the speedboat would play its part again, with Herman rely needing to leave quickly once everything was over.

How Vasel Wen could be so confident, it was fine even if he got caught was beyond Herman's understanding. The relationship between the two was sowhat complicated, and Herman had to accept his plan.

Despite his discontent, Herman had to admit that Vasel Wen's layered plan was quite successful.

But unexpectedly, he'd run into Luo An and the others as soon as he ca out.

Looking at the three's expressions, Herman realized they had been waiting for him for quite so ti.

He took the candy with trembling hands, unwrapped it, and stuffed it in his mouth. The sweetness relaxed him significantly, and he swallowed, asking,

"Group Leader Luo An, how did you find ?"

"You'll have the chance to know later."

Luo An chuckled. From the beginning, he had sensed Herman's presence.

He initially planned to send soone to the sea to capture Herman, but seeing Vasel Wen's confident look, Luo An decided to let Herman stay in the water a bit longer, letting Vasel Wen have a few more minutes of satisfaction.

Surrounded from three sides, Herman, being a scientist without the combat skills of an assassin or special forces soldier, had no choice but to raise his hands in a French salute.

Luo An patted Herman on the shoulder with satisfaction at his willingness to cooperate. Once Reesi cuffed him, Luo An led Herman away.

Not far from the harbor's exit, the Coast Guard had already left, and SWAT's transport vehicle, along with Winslow's MPV, was parked by the roadside waiting.

Inside the transport vehicle, Vasel Wen looked gloomy. From the mont the vehicle stopped there, he'd had an unsettling feeling.

After waiting for a long ti, Vasel Wen couldn't hold it any longer. He turned his head towards Chenier and asked,

"Hey, why haven't we left yet?"

Chenier gave Vasel Wen a glance, snickered, and didn't respond.

Seeing this, Vasel Wen beca even more furious and was about to inquire again when soone suddenly knocked on the vehicle's door.

The SWAT team mbers inside opened the door, and Luo An pushed Herman inside, smiling,

"Chenier, here's another one, keep an eye on him."

Chenier nodded, seating Herman aside. Luo An turned to the dark-faced Vasel Wen and said with a grin,

"Why the long face? Is your stomach upset?"

With a blank expression, Vasel Wen stared at Luo An, and after a few seconds of silence, forced a smile and said,

"Group Leader Luo An, you..."

Bang—

Before Vasel Wen finished his sentence, Luo An directly shut the vehicle door.

"..."

Vasel Wen was so infuriated that he nearly choked on his own breath, almost coughing up blood.

Mona and Reesi shut the vehicle door, and Luo An got into Winslow's vehicle:

"Mission accomplished, head back!"

"OK!"

Both vehicles started and slowly drove into the distance.

At one-thirty in the morning, the group successfully arrived at the capital of South Carolina, Columbia City.

Outside the FBI branch building in Columbia City, the two vehicles slowly pulled up to the roadside. Luo An and his team got out of the car, Winslow drove to the parking lot, and the SWAT team escorted Vasel Wen and Herman out of the transport vehicle.

"Thanks for your hard work, everyone."

Luo An exchanged a few words with the SWAT team mbers, promising to have drinks together later. Chenier, Reesi, Mona, and Michelle escorted Vasel Wen and Herman into the building.

In a temporary office space, Herman and Vasel Wen were placed in separate rooms. Just as Luo An put down his water cup, Winslow ca over quickly, frowning,

"Luo An, I just got word that Vasel Wen's lawyer is on his way."

"What?"

"That fast?"

Reesi and Michelle looked astonished, while Chenier suddenly realized sothing, her face turning serious,

"We haven't notified Vasel Wen's family or released information about the operation, and no one has contacted a lawyer.

So how did this lawyer know Vasel Wen had been captured by us?"

"Don't forget Gold Teeth Vernon, who got blown up by a grenade."

Luo An stretched lazily:

"It's already made the news; for so, it's not hard to find out Vasel Wen was caught."

"Damn it."

The group all wore grim expressions, and Winslow muttered under his breath before saying,

"No wonder Vasel Wen wasn't worried at all, like he wasn't the one who got caught.

Now it seems, the people behind him might be quite sothing."

Mona turned her head to Luo An,

"What do we do next?"

Luo An yawned and calmly said,

"It's already past midnight; let's all rest first. As for the lawyer, we'll deal with it after we've rested."
