"Two good news?"

Luo An was sowhat surprised and asked:

"Is it related to the Judgnt Process Church case?"

"Of course."

Trick Kennedy smiled and said:

"Do you rember before taking on this case, I ntioned to you that the Deputy Director was starting to calculate this year's case handling budget for each departnt?"

Luo An's eyes lit up as he nodded and asked:

"Has the result co out?"

"That's right."

Trick Kennedy took a docunt from his briefcase and handed it to Luo An with a smile, saying:

"Your case handling departnt's budget for activities this year has increased by one-tenth compared to last year."

One-tenth might sound small, but the Washington Headquarters of the FBI has more than a dozen departnts, and one-tenth is by no ans a small figure when distributed.

And most of this increased funding was obtained by the special investigation team led by Luo An.

Although other investigation teams received less, they were very grateful to Luo An. After all, without Luo An's 100% case-solving rate, they wouldn't have received any increased fund. It's worth noting that the last ti the case-handling departnt's budget was increased was over ten years ago.

Looking at the substantial figures added in the folder, Luo An smiled and then asked:

"Sir, what's the second good news?"

"The second matter is related to the Judgnt Process Church."

Trick Kennedy paused slightly and said:

"I'm sure Mr. Clent has already told you that there are so issues behind this case. I let my guard down and didn't notice, which led to you taking on this case.

That day in Georgetown, I went to handle that matter, not only solving the trouble but also getting so compensation for you, Luo An."

The issue Trick Kennedy referred to was exactly the mischief caused by Professor Murari Roberts in the background. The dark circles around his eyes were also related to this.

As Trick Kennedy was the last person to see Murari Roberts alone before the villa burned down, as well as having negotiating experiences with him.

Coupled with his identity as a mber of the Kennedy family and belonging to a certain camp, after Murari Roberts's villa burned down, many people imdiately suspected him as the mastermind.

For a ti, Trick Kennedy's phone rang incessantly, keeping him almost sleepless until now.

As for the arsonist responsible for setting the villa on fire, Trick Kennedy seriously suspected that it was orchestrated by the Jewish Camp, as similar incidents had happened nurous tis before.

Shaking his head to temporarily dismiss the ideas in his mind, Trick Kennedy took out a slip of paper with a series of numbers from his pocket and handed it to Luo An, saying in a low voice:

"Here I've secured three million US Dollars from the other side for you. I assure you, the issue with the Judgnt Process Church will not happen again."

Luo An's eyes moved, and he took the note, looked at it, and after a few seconds of silence, he smiled:

"Okay, thank you, Sir."

Seeing the smile on Luo An's face, Trick Kennedy breathed a slight sigh of relief, downed his coffee, and smiled as well.

The two shifted the topic to other areas, discussing their experiences in investing on Wall Street for a while before Trick Kennedy left first, and Luo An followed, stepping out of the café and getting into his car, driving towards Washington D.C.

In the following two weeks or so, considering the complicated issues behind the Judgnt Process Church, to be cautious, Mona, Reesi, Chenier, and Michelle always stayed together, shopping and dining out every day.

Winslow stayed ho, accompanying his wife and son, resting peacefully, and enjoying the hard-earned warm monts.

Luo An decisively rejected the four mischievous won, who outwardly invited him to shop with them but actually wanted him to be responsible for carrying their bags.

He practiced boxing daily to keep fit and spent his free ti watching TV, occasionally checking stock prices and federal real estate information on his computer, then joined the four won in the evenings at various fine restaurants to enjoy good food, living a very leisurely and happy life.

Two weeks or so quickly passed, and as March approached its end, the special investigation team received another case, a murder in a secluded grove at a park corner in Washington D.C.

The victims were a young white man and woman, the man's forehead and occipital area showing club-like impact wounds, and the cause of death was having his throat slit by a knife-like weapon.

The young white female victim's body lay on the ground, her abdon slit open, blood everywhere, a horrifying scene.

The cause of death was the sa as the man's, dying from a severed windpipe, with blood gushing out, suffocating them to death.

Upon taking the case, Luo An imdiately led the special investigation team to investigate, and within less than two weeks, got a clue from a friend of the male victim during his lifeti, which led them to find and capture the culprit.

The case itself was not complex; the male and female victims were a couple. The boy was in deep debt to loan sharks and, with no other options, gritted his teeth and chose to make quick money through drug smuggling.

The girl, brainwashed under the guise of love by the boy, decided to join in as well.

Initially, they indeed made quite a bit of money, paying off the loan sharks successfully, and the boy decided to continue since the money was coming in too fast, and he couldn't accept earning a regular wage, which was too slow.

The girl initially refused vehently but soon could not endure the ordinary working life and found the boy, deciding to do it one last ti, agreeing to stop completely after that.

As expected, the "last ti" turned into "one more ti," which beca "just this once," two beca three, and three beca four, and they were wholly consud by it.

Frequent exposure leads to inevitable missteps, and when the couple once again smuggled into the federal, the drugs inside the girl's body unexpectedly ruptured.

The desperate girl pleaded with the boy to take her to a hospital, but as they walked only a short distance, drug dealers caught up with them, killed them both, and retrieved those blood-soaked balloons from the girl's abdon...

"Damn it."

At the special investigation group's office area, Chenier, with an unpleasant look, walked out of the interrogation room and angrily threw the interrogation records onto her desk.

Seeing this, Mona frowned slightly, asking:

"What's wrong, isn't that drug dealer cooperating?"

"No, he's cooperating or rather too cooperating."

Following Chenier, Reesi stepped out of the interrogation room, with a similarly unpleasant expression, and answered:

"This guy is taking all the bla upon himself, willing to go to jail but absolutely refusing to finger the leader of the drug organization behind him."

The murderer of the young couple was indeed this drug dealer, but he was just a lackey following orders, with the hidden leader behind him being the real culprit.

"It's okay, no need to rush."

Just when the won were frowning and didn't know what to do, Luo An pushed the door open and walked in, followed by a white man in his forties with a big beard.

Luo An patted the shoulder of the Big Beard and introduced with a smile:

"This is Deputy Group Leader Paul from the fifth investigation group upstairs, and he knows how to persuade the guy in the interrogation room."

Deputy Group Leader Paul grinned, showing a mouthful of white teeth, and said with a smile:

"Don't worry, everyone. Leave this guy to ."

Saying this, Deputy Group Leader Paul nodded to Luo An and, led by Michelle, walked into the interrogation room.

As the interrogation room door closed, Mona leaned towards Luo An and asked in a low voice:

"Luo An, this Deputy Group Leader Paul, seems like I haven't seen him before in this building?"
