"It is only smart people who think more and are more greedy."

When Murari Roberts finished speaking, the elderly voice on the other end of the phone was silent for a long ti, and finally asked:

"What's your suggestion for the next step a good cop should take?"

"It's very simple, I've already said it just now."

Murari Roberts chuckled, wearing an expression of confidence, and said:

"First, punish my 'bad cop' well, and then give Luo An Greenwood so benefits.

He's not yet thirty this year, a young, energetic man; what he likes is nothing more than money, won, power.

We can satisfy all of this for him, can't we? It doesn't matter how much he wants, he'll always get it back later."

The voice on the other end said flatly:

"As expected, it's still your old way."

"The reason why the old way is the old way is because it works."

Murari Roberts's smile remained:

"What do you think?"

"Alright, I'll have soone handle the rest."

The voice on the other end casually replied and then hung up the phone. Murari Roberts listened to the busy tone in the phone without getting angry, chuckled, put the phone in his pocket, started the car, and drove out of the campus.

The villa where Murari Roberts lives is in an area not too far from George Washington University.

His wife died of cancer more than ten years ago, yet Murari Roberts never remarried, and outsiders praised him as deeply loving his deceased wife, calling him a devoted man.

But Murari Roberts himself knew that compared to remarrying and marrying a woman in her thirties or forties, at seventy years old without lack of money, he preferred to associate with young people.

Such as twenty-year-old girls, eighteen-year-olds are also fine, even those younger than eighteen... Murari Roberts is a standard wealthy Jewish man.

Murari Roberts's daily routines are very regular; after driving ho, he would generally have a glass of red wine, rest for a mont, then take a shower, change his clothes, and head to a certain private club for enjoynt by eight o'clock.

The next morning he returns ho, freshens up, puts on his glasses, resus his respected professor identity, goes to school, educates people, speaks for Jews, and cultivates students to be close to Jews.

Considering his old age and poor physical condition, Murari Roberts's lifestyle trajectory only occurs two to three tis a week.

Today's mood was good, and he had ti, Murari Roberts drove into the garage, walked into the villa directly heading to the wine cellar, ready to find a bottle of red wine to savor.

Upon stepping inside the villa, Murari Roberts's face suddenly changed because he discovered a bottle of already opened red wine at the living room position, with a high-legged glass poured with so red wine beside it.

Murari Roberts's brow twitched, while retreating with one foot, he raised his right hand preparing to reach into his pocket for his phone, just then, a laughter sounded from the kitchen:

"Don't get excited, Mr. Roberts, don't move your hand, or else this gun aid at you might get angry."

Murari Roberts froze in motion, his body suddenly stiff, deeply breathing several tis to suppress the fear deep in his heart, he slowly turned his body towards the kitchen.

At the kitchen doorway, leaned a man in ordinary sportswear, wearing gloves, holding a handgun pointed at him, with a sunny smile on his face.

The man's face was very familiar to Murari Roberts, he had seen it many tis in so folders, it was the very person he just discussed over the phone, Luo An Greenwood.

"Good evening, Professor."

Luo An walked leisurely to Murari Roberts's front, gestured for him to sit on the sofa, and smiled:

"The wine is nice, I took a look, it's Lafite red wine from last century, produced at Marge Manor.

As expected of a professor at George Washington University, truly has exquisite taste."

Sitting on the sofa, Murari Roberts raised his head looking at the smile on Luo An's face, he slowly revealed a slightly stiff smile, feeling deeply shocked inside, unable to comprehend how Luo An silently broke through the villa's security system.

Feeling incredulous simultaneously, Murari Roberts also gained a more clear understanding of the strength possessed by Luo An as the group leader, he took a deep breath, suppressed the fear emotion in his heart, and laughed:

"If Group Leader Luo An likes it, I could give you so."

"No need, I don't know much about red wine, nor do I have the habit of collecting wine."

Luo An smiled and waved his hand; Murari Roberts just prepared to continue speaking when the smile on Luo An's face abruptly disappeared, his eyes locked onto the other, he asked seriously:

"Let's get straight to the point, Professor Roberts, besides Harries, that unfortunate guy, who else did you send to take action against ?"

Murari Roberts did not expect Luo An's expression would change so quickly, the previous second sunny smile, the next second cold as ice; looking at the black gun muzzle, his back broke out in cold sweat, yet still wore a slightly stiff smile, probing:

"Group Leader Luo An, could you put the gun down, we have plenty of ti, how about we talk slowly?"

Click—

Luo An said nothing, just silently released the safety on the gun.

A few drops of sweat instantly appeared on Murari Roberts's forehead, just as he prepared to speak, he suddenly thought of sothing, the stiff smile on his face suddenly softened, he said with a smile:

"Group Leader Luo An, there is no need to be so angry, we could slowly talk.

You don't need to threaten with a gun, if the gunshot goes off it won't be a minute before people co to check the situation, wouldn't be good for you either."

"You are still young, have a bright future ahead, definitely don't—"

Bang—

Before Murari Roberts finished speaking, Luo An swung a fist that heavily smashed into his face, expressionless, he said:

"The safe behind the painting in your bedroom, what's the nuric code?"

Roberts was struck dizzy by the punch, nose bleeding out, prepared to curse, but heard Luo An then ask:

"How many digits is the code? Five? Six? Seven?

What's the first digit, one? two? three? The second digit then..."

In less than five minutes, Luo An obtained the real number, slightly nodded:

"Thirteen-digit number, starts with 9 ends with 3, indeed a university professor, even the password is so long."

At this mont, Murari Roberts looked at Luo An dumbfounded, absolutely disbelieving, as if he'd seen a ghost, clearly he hadn't said a word, yet how did Luo An obtain the real password! Could there really be mind reading techniques in this world!

Seeing Luo An's cold expression growing stronger, with fear ruling his heart, Murari Roberts's face changed dramatically, hurriedly spoke:

"Group Leader Luo An, you can't kill , I can give you all my money, can also act like nothing happened today, in the future you..."

Murari Roberts spoke halfway, Luo An quietly put away the gun, upon seeing so Roberts's face instantly revealed a smile, while his heart simultaneously decided, after today this must end with the other's death!

Click!

The next mont, a crisp sound echoed by the ear, and Roberts's consciousness completely fell into darkness.

Five minutes later, thick smoke burst out from inside the villa, the orange-red flas reaching the sky instantly catching the attention of everyone around the villa.

A person wearing a hat with a backpack shouted for help in putting out the fire, and the crowd quickly contacted the fire departnt, opened the fire hydrants on both sides of the street, worked hard to extinguish the fire.

A few hours later, at 10:30 PM, the case report of Murari Roberts being twisted at the neck and the villa being set ablaze appeared on so people's desks.

These people had no mood to check the autopsy report of Murari Roberts, instead looking towards the traces discovered at the cri scene by the FBI's trace examination departnt:

They had found a half burned, entirely blackened upside-down cross, along with an opened safe's cabinet.

Inside the safe, a few gold bars remained; US dollars, bonds, etc., were burnt quite a bit, so remained, and many burnt half folders, yet the docunts inside were empty.

Many reading the case report cursed under their breath, the upside-down cross suggests the killer is either from the Judgnt Process Church; or it's a red herring left by the killer, intending to draw attention to the church.

Along with the situation with the safe, many were convinced the killer's real target was retrieving the docunts, Roberts was simply silenced.

Involving the Judgnt Process Church, the matters and people behind are too nurous, any camp could have a hand in it, with the scene offering little evidence.

So individuals thought beyond, suspecting the leaving of the upside-down cross might suggest the mastermind is indirectly warning them against further investigation, as everyone involved is not clean, finding anything truly would benefit none.

Additionally, the ones who took those docunts cannot possibly keep them hidden away, whether they plan subsequent trade or leak to dia, they all have the ability to find and intercept in advance.

Understanding this, several camps certain that their subordinates were not involved, chose to remain inactive, refusing to take up the case, and turned their gaze toward the Jewish camp.
