At one-thirty in the afternoon, in the southwest part of Washington D.C, inside an ordinary community at a youth hostel.

"Did you find a tal box over there?"

Hearing Chenier’s discovery, Luo An’s eyes flicked inquisitiveness as he asked:

"What does the tal box look like?"

"No padlock, size of an A4 paper..."

Chenier briefly described the appearance of the tal box discovered by Winslow. Reesi, who was beside Luo An, listened for a few seconds, shook the tal box in her hands, which sounded exactly the sa.

"OK."

After Chenier finished describing, Luo An nodded and said:

"Reesi and I have also found an identical tal box here."

Chenier and Winslow on the other end of the phone were quite surprised by this news. Luo An didn’t give them a chance to ask questions and instead commanded:

"Rember to bring the tal box back later.

Also, don’t forget to bring back the manager of that lobbying company for interrogation by the special investigation team."

"Understood."

After a brief discussion, Luo An voluntarily hung up the phone, pondered montarily, then turned to the hostel owner who was silently waiting nearby, and asked:

"Natasha has been living in your hostel for quite so ti, has anything unusual happened? Or has anyone co looking for her?"

"Natasha is mostly on her own. So n have shown interest in her, but she had no interest in those losers."

The hostel owner casually replied and suddenly slapped her forehead, adding:

"Right, last month, which was when Natasha had been living here for over five months, a man ca looking for her.

That man didn’t seem like a good person; Natasha had a grim expression when she saw him, but she still pulled that man into this room.

The man was in this room for less than five minutes before leaving. Quite ordinary, no, I should say a bit subpar."

"..."

Luo An and Reesi selectively ignored the hostel owner’s final remark and Luo An continued to ask:

"How about the surveillance here, is there a clear image of that man?"

"Of course."

The hostel owner nodded vigorously, assuring that the surveillance in her hostel was absolutely reliable. Therefore, Luo An turned to Reesi and said:

"I’ll take the tal box back to headquarters and figure out what’s inside.

Reesi, you go with the owner to access the surveillance footage, find out the man’s identity, and take him back to the special investigation team. If you encounter any difficulties, rember to call for help in ti."

"No problem."

Reesi handed the tal box to Luo An, gave him a thumbs-up, and cheerfully nodded in agreent.

Thus, they split into two groups, and Luo An quickly drove back to the office area of the special investigation team.

An agent from the Trace Examination Departnt had been waiting there for a long ti. Once they received the tal box, they imdiately took out professional equipnt and began to pick the lock... it was a technical unlocking.

Snap—

As it’s said, to each their expertise, the agent from the Trace Examination Departnt opened the built-in lock of the tal box in less than a minute, without damaging its internal structure.

Luo An silently gave a thumbs-up to the agent from the Trace Examination Departnt, then stepped forward to open the tal box.

Under the curious gaze of Mona and Michelle, a dark red wooden cross and a dark red wooden necklace appeared inside the tal box, with nothing else.

Wearing gloves, Michelle picked up the cross and looked at it with furrowed brows, saying:

"This is a Satanic inverted cross."

"Satanism?"

Luo An didn’t know much about this area, and Michelle, pointing at the intersection of the horizontal and vertical parts of the cross, explained with the inverted Latin cross engraved on it:

"This style of the cross is not the upright cross of Eastern Orthodox but a Latin cross used by the Catholic Church and Protestantism, also called the elongated cross.

Inverting the elongated cross, and then engraving the cross in the center of the inverted cross, symbolizes the devil Satan, representing degradation, impurity, and rebellion."

Mona frowned and remained silent, Luo An picked up another wooden necklace from the tal box, closely observed it for a few seconds, and found different numbers engraved on several wood beads.

"2-6-3-5."

Luo An handed the wooden necklace to Mona and Michelle, his voice grave:

"It looks like a sort of code."

Mona’s brow furrowed tighter as she speculated:

"Could this be Ashiya’s code na or ranking in so organization?"

Michelle thought for a mont and said:

"The cut on Imre’s throat was precise and fierce, killing him instantly.

Could this Ashiya be an assassin from so Satanism sect?"

"There’s that possibility."

Luo An didn’t dismiss Michelle’s speculation. Not long after, Winslow and Chenier brought back the lobbying firm manager to the special investigation team.

The manager was temporarily detained in the interrogation room by Winslow, while Chenier handed the tal box to Luo An. The forensic agent again skillfully opened it, revealing another wooden cross and a wooden necklace.

Different this ti, the numbers on the wooden necklace read "1-9-3-1", and the wooden cross was no longer dark red but pale gold.

Looking at the items in the two tal boxes, everyone in the office fell silent for a few seconds before Mona spoke up first:

"It seems that Ashiya and Leisha, can be confird to co from the sa organization."

Luo An rubbed his temples and said:

"Mona, Michelle, investigate the Satan-worshipping cults within federal jurisdiction, and make a list.

Winslow, go et up with Reesi, she’s gone to make an arrest and might need help.

Chenier, you co with to the interrogation room, let’s have a chat with this manager."

"OK!"x4

Everyone nodded simultaneously and began packing up, then Luo An led Chenier into the interrogation room.

"Listen, Mr. FBI."

As Luo An pushed the door into the interrogation room without even sitting down, the lobbying firm manager sitting on the chair raised his head and said both nervously and seriously:

"I really am not the murderer who killed Leisha, OK?

I had no grudges against her, I had absolutely no reason to kill her!"

"Don’t be nervous, Mr. Manager."

Luo An took a seat, waited for Chenier to get ready, and looked at the manager with a smile:

"We’re just here for a simple chat."

"OK, OK."

Mr. Manager nodded repeatedly, Luo An didn’t mince words and quickly got to the point, saying:

"In our investigation, we found that all of Leisha’s identity, docunts, degree, etc., were fake, she got into the lobbying firm because she had slept with you, do you have anything to explain?"

Mr. Manager didn’t deny it and nodded in admission, saying:

"Those docunts were fake, but Leisha’s working capabilities were real, she never made a mistake at her job.

If it wasn’t like that, even if she slept with a hundred tis, I wouldn’t have let a fool into the company."

A hint of disdain flashed in Chenier’s eyes, she asked:

"The records show that you have a fiancée, she loves you deeply."

Mr. Manager’s face grew serious, showing his unwavering devotion to his fiancée as he said:

"I love her too, but I never said she’s the only one I love."

"..."

Chenier’s brow twitched with irritation, and Luo An was sowhat speechless. He patted Chenier’s arm to signal her to keep calm, then continued asking:

"How and where did you et Leisha? Do you know about Leisha’s past?"

"I t Leisha at a bar."

Mr. Manager frowned slightly as he answered:

"Leisha never talked about her past, and I never asked.

All I can say is, her skills were good, she clearly had seen the world."
