The following day, at ten in the morning, FBI Atlantic City branch, a certain interrogation room.
This was a very spacious room, with an interrogation table in the center comparable in length to a conference table, and four chairs to the left for the interrogators.
On the right side of the interrogation table was an all-tal chair, welded directly to the ground, with even two iron rings underneath for securing the ankles of the person being interrogated.
At this mont, Anthony Soling was sitting in the tal chair, his right arm wrapped in gauze and slung across his chest, his ankles shackled securely, and his head wrapped in thick gauze, his eyes fixed tightly on the room's door.
Creak—
Before long, the door to the interrogation room was opened from the outside, with Chenier, Mona, Michelle, and Luo An entering one after another.
Anthony Soling didn't even glance at the three won in front; his gaze was directed at Luo An, who was at the back.
At this ti, Luo An wore a smile, a pair of sunglasses perched on the bridge of his nose, the very pair that Anthony Soling had demanded Luo An compensate him for yesterday.
"Good morning, Mr. Soling."
Chenier and the others took their seats, began organizing their items, and prepared to record the interrogation proceedings, while Luo An casually sat on the interrogation table, holding a coffee in his hand, looking down on Anthony Soling from above, and said with a smile:
"These Gucci sunglasses are indeed nice, you have good taste."
Anthony Soling stared fixedly at Luo An and asked:
"How is Harvey doing?"
Harvey was the na of the sniper.
"Not bad, that guy is pretty lucky."
Luo An took a small sip of his coffee and said with a smile:
"Your shots from yesterday didn't hit his vital parts; and with tily ergency aid, his injuries aren't too serious, and won't delay his educational trip to prison."
Anthony Soling fell silent for a few seconds, staring intently at Luo An, then asked in a deep voice:
"How did you do it?"
Luo An put down the coffee cup:
"Do what?"
"Those two bullets."
Anthony Soling's eyes were filled with confusion and bewildernt:
"How exactly did you dodge them?"
Luo An chuckled and replied:
"People's physiques are not all the sa; my physical condition is comparatively good and my reaction speed is also quite fast."
"…"
Anthony Soling's look was full of speechlessness. Before he could continue, Luo An cut him off first and said:
"You've already asked two questions; now it's my turn to ask you.
The story that happened in the hospital, explain that."
"What's there to explain?"
Anthony Soling leaned back into the chair, quite decisively admitting that the Deputy Governor and several other victims' deaths were caused by him.
The thod of poisoning was also as Luo An had previously deduced; Anthony Soling first investigated the Deputy Governor's surgery schedule, as well as which drugs would be used post-surgery.
Then, Anthony Soling used so ans to contaminate the drugs originally stored in the hospital, rendering them unusable, which forced the hospital to urgently contact the pharmaceutical company, requesting a new batch of drugs be delivered.
In the end, Anthony Soling, by bribing the manager, laced the new batch of drugs with a poison he had long prepared.
Seeing Anthony Soling's nonchalant tone, utterly without a sense of guilt, as if he had rely killed a few chickens, Mona, Michelle, and Chenier imdiately frowned, their expressions souring.
Luo An remained very calm and continued to ask:
"Who hired you to kill?"
"That's a separate matter, Mr. Greenhat."
Anthony Soling chuckled, subconsciously attempting to cross his legs like a boss; however, restrained by the shackles, he couldn't move them and so he shifted his buttocks to find a slightly more comfortable position, tilting his head back to look at Luo An, saying:
"I demand to be locked up in a prison with a sports field where I can be let out daily.
The cell that I'm in must only contain ; I don't like roommates.
Moreover, the room must have a window, and it's preferable to have green plants outside the window, best if it's facing the sun…"
Anthony Soling had a long list of demands, even down to the brand of toothpaste.
Luo An didn't argue throughout, even occasionally nodding with a smile.
Seeing Luo An's gesture, Anthony Soling raised his eyebrows and asked:
"So, you agree?"
"Of course... I do not agree."
Luo An took a long breath, instantly freezing the smile in Anthony Soling's eyes.
"You seem to have misunderstood sothing, Mr. Soling."
Luo An set his coffee aside, jumped off the interrogation table, patted Anthony Soling on the shoulder, and his smile slowly vanished as he said coldly:
"Right now, you're the criminal, the person headed for prison is you, what right do you have to negotiate terms with ?
Got any more bombs? Don't forget, before you entered this room, even your ass was checked by staff!"
Anthony Soling's eyes widened with anger, just as he was about to curse, Luo An imdiately added coldly:
"I'm giving you one last chance, Anthony Soling, to spill everything you know.
Otherwise, with those charges on you, I guarantee you'll end up in the prison you least like.
Those guys are real talents, you know the hobbies of the people in prison, with your looks and build, you'll surely be extrely popular."
"Fu-k You!"
As the words fell, Anthony Soling began to struggle and curse wildly in the chair, his eyes bloodshot, staring fixedly at Luo An.
Luo An remained very calm, picked up his coffee and drained it in one gulp, then lifted his left hand to check his watch, and began the countdown:
"Nineteen, eighteen, seventeen..."
"*#%¥..."
Anthony Soling continued to curse, but as the countdown numbers dwindled, his voice gradually ceased, and his complexion began to shift unpredictably.
When Luo An counted down to "8," Anthony Soling suddenly interjected:
"Greenhorn, ain't you afraid I won't say a word, and you won't crack this case?"
Luo An sneered and didn't reply, instead jumping directly from "8" to "6," and then "4," "2"...
"Wait, I'll talk!"
Seeing Luo An not only didn't stop the countdown but accelerated it instead, Anthony Soling hurriedly shouted out:
"I don't know who hired ! But I know who knows that guy's real identity!"
The words that followed were sowhat convoluted, but everyone present understood what Anthony Soling ant, Luo An crossed his arms and looked at him coldly:
"Clarify."
"Son of a b*tch!"
Anthony Soling cursed under his breath, seeing through Luo An's tactic, not particularly clever, but aid precisely at his weak point, leaving him utterly unable to resist.
In order not to suffer day after day, Anthony Soling took a deep breath and chose to reveal all he knew:
"The guy who hired found online, we always kept in touch over the network.
So I have no idea who the guy is, nor do I know what grudges he holds against the Deputy Governor; I'm just a tool, OK?"
Luo An remained silent, Chenier continued to ask:
"You just said that you know soone who knows the true identity of the employer, who is this person? Where is he?"
"He's an assassin."
ntioning this, Anthony Soling laughed, saying:
"This guy is quite interesting, he too was sought out by the employer, with the goal of silencing after I completed the task.
However, this guy's skills are so-so, after I killed that unlucky guy in the motel playing gas with two won, and left Harrisburg not long after, I discovered him."
"Where is this assassin now?"
"He's probably in so wood processing factory."
Anthony Soling spread his hands and laughed:
"I threw him into the wood chipper by the roadside."
