In a well-known Hollywood restaurant.

Hearing Luo An's question, Lexi tilted her head to think for a mont, then said:

"A few days ago in the afternoon, when Sande and I were walking in the park, suddenly a woman burst out of nowhere screaming at Sande. She said she wanted soone to kill him and even mocked for being a fool."

By the end of her speech, Lexi wore a look of disdain.

On her first day in Hollywood, Lexi had already prepared for what it would take to succeed. The best outco was success; failure would just be like getting bitten by a dog.

Lexi had nothing but contempt in her heart for won who, after being bullied, only cared about being sad and angry instead of imdiately seeking benefits for themselves.

"..."

Reesi's face was speechless, silently marveling that Hollywood indeed was a place brimming with talents.

Luo An made no comnt on Lexi's life philosophy. He was more concerned with the case in his hands. After jotting down a few notes in his notebook, he continued to ask:

"Do you know the na of that woman?"

"No."

Lexi shook her head, then added:

"However, Sande's secretary might know, because Sande called his secretary that day. It was his secretary who brought people to deal with that woman."

"Secretary? Which secretary?"

"The one with red hair. She seems to be Sande's personal life secretary."

Half an hour later, at Sande Jisi's villa.

"Christiana Selene."

The study's door was pushed open, and a middle-aged Caucasian woman ca in, extending her hand and looking apologetically at Luo An and Reesi:

"I'm so sorry for making you wait."

"It's alright."

Luo An shook her hand. He had been wondering how soone with Sande's character and habits could possibly overlook the won around him.

What kind of woman would dare to work at his side without fearing that one day Sande would spike her drink on a whim?

Now, seeing Christiana's short and plump figure, and her average-looking face, Luo An finally understood where her confidence in working for Sande ca from.

"Please have a seat."

Behind the study was a large desk and a smaller desk to the side. Christiana sat behind the smaller desk and poured two cups of coffee for Luo An and Reesi, explaining:

"I'm really sorry, Sande's passing was so sudden, we are now overwheld with his arrangents."

Luo An accepted the coffee and nodded. Sande Jisi was after all a billionaire, without parents or children; the distribution of so much money and company shares was indeed a big issue.

However, Luo An didn't care about these matters. After a brief introduction of the incident ntioned by Lexi, Luo An asked directly:

"Do you know who that woman is?"

"I do know. That woman sent multiple emails to Sande with insults."

Upon hearing Luo An's question, Christiana had an epiphany, imdiately turned to tap on her computer while smiling bitterly, explaining:

"But that woman had no idea that the email address Sande announced to the public was actually managed by .

All the emails that woman sent insulting Sande actually ca to ."

Reesi, sitting aside, frowned slightly when she heard this:

"As Sande's personal life secretary, you must be very familiar with his actions. How could you..."

"How could I just turn a blind eye to those things and continue to work for Sande without any guilt, right?"

Before Reesi could finish, Christiana interrupted her, then handed a printed piece of paper to Luo An, looking at Reesi as she explained:

"It's simple. This is Hollywood, and I need to earn money to support myself."

Reesi was about to say sothing more when Luo An raised his hand to stop her, then pointing to the paper at the woman nad "Viola," he asked:

"What exactly is going on between this Viola and Sande?"

Christiana didn't go into much detail, only saying:

"This lady once went to Sande's company and cursed him out, saying he took advantage of her against her will."

"OK."

Luo An understood the implication in Christiana's words, stood up, and extended his hand to her:

"Thank you for your cooperation. We may contact you during the follow-up investigation, so please ensure that your communication is accessible."

Christiana shook hands with Luo An, smiling:

"Of course, I'll certainly cooperate."

After leaving Sande Jisi's villa, Luo An got into the SUV, pulled out his cell phone and called Mona:

"Mona, how's your investigation going?"

"I've found a suspect."

Mona on the other end typed a few keys and, looking at the profile on the computer, said:

"Among the 19 victims, there was a young woman nad Alan who spoke to her psychiatrist a week ago, saying she wanted to find an assassin to kill Sande Jisi."

Luo An raised his eyebrows:

"Psychiatrist?"

Reesi in the passenger seat explained:

"It must have been the psychiatrist who judged that Alan had 'potential homicidal tendencies' and so reported it to the police."

Snap!

Mona on the phone snapped her fingers:

"Reesi's got it right."

"Good."

Luo An picked up the paper in his hand, inford Mona of Owela's basic information, then said:

"This lady had a dispute with Sande, check her out briefly."

"OK, give two minutes."

Luo An hung up the phone, started the SUV, and began to slowly make his way toward the FBI Los Angeles Branch building.

The SUV hadn't gone far when Luo An's phone rang again; Mona spoke solemnly from the other end:

"Luo An, this Owela knows Alan, they previously worked together at the sa company.

What's different is, after being bullied, Alan had reported it to the LAPD's Special Victims Unit.

Owela hasn't; she's a victim not recorded in the archival records."

After listening to Mona's description, Reesi in the passenger seat sumd up:

"Both won know each other, and both have expressed wanting to find soone to kill Sande."

"Hiring a hitman isn't a cheap matter, splitting the cost fifty-fifty is a very economical plan."

Luo An nodded at this, threw the paper aside, and asked:

"Mona, where do both ladies live?

You and Michelle should go out into the field too, we need to invite them over to our Special Investigation Team for a coffee."

————

Two hours later, at half-past three in the afternoon, in the Special Investigation Team office area.

Owela and Alan, both ladies, were already sitting in two separate interrogation rooms.

Luo An and Michelle pushed open the door and entered the interrogation room where Owela was situated.

Owela, sitting behind the table, was a young woman of mixed heritage with exceptionally distinct features and a delicate face like a doll, her figure was also very attractive.

Seeing Luo An and Michelle entering the room, Owela crossed her legs and said with a sneer:

"I don't want to lie to you, to tell the truth, I am very happy that Sande Jisi is dead, extrely happy."

"Is that so?"

Michelle opened a laptop to start recording the interrogation, and Luo An sat down on the interrogation table, looking down at Owela with a smile, and asked:

"Do you think hiring an assassin to deal with soone is a good thod?"

Owela lifted her head and said coldly:

"Why wouldn't it be?"

Luo An smacked his lips, just about to speak, when suddenly there was a knocking on the door of the interrogation room. He left the interrogation table to open the door and found Reesi was the one knocking.

Without waiting for Luo An to ask, Reesi glanced at Owela in the interrogation room and then whispered to Luo An:

"Alan has confessed."

Luo An: ?
