Reesi's disguise skills were extrely proficient, and her embodint of roles was nothing short of lifelike.

Following Luo An's instructions, when Reesi called Terence Rob, she pretended to be a female believer who had attended church services so ti ago but recently encountered difficulties in life and didn't know what to do.

Although Terence Rob sounded sowhat surprised at the beginning of the conversation, he was successfully deceived by Reesi's rhetoric and did not harbor the slightest doubt by the end, even starting to give Reesi guidance.

The mont Terence Rob picked up the phone, all ten of Mona's fingers began to swiftly dance, quickly locating the source of the call through the intersection points of the signal towers.

"Luo An, he is in Queens!"

"OK!"

Ard with the exact location, Luo An relayed the details to the SWAT driver, who floored the gas pedal, driving the SWAT vehicle out at high speed.

Although there wasn't as much traffic in New York at night as during the day, the bustling nightlife still supplied a fair amount of vehicles on the streets.

But that didn't slow down Luo An and his team. The SWAT vehicle's flashing red and blue lights urged other drivers to clear the way.

Being hit by a SWAT vehicle was a minor issue; if the SWAT pinned a "disruption of public service" charge on soone afterward, that would be too troubleso.

Based on the location tracking, Terence Rob's location wasn't far from Raymond Rakov's ho. Luo An and Reid got their weapons ready and quickly stepped out of the vehicle upon reaching the target site.

"Reid, split into two teams, you take the left, I'll take the right."

"OK."

Several blocks away from Raymond Rakov's ho, there were a few 24-hour shops and cinemas, and the area was teeming with people at this ti.

Luo An and Reid, along with their teams, entered from the south and north entrances of the street, shedding so of their bulkier gear, and wearing black jackets over their FBI bulletproof vests.

Luo An, leading a SWAT mber, walked while carefully observing pedestrians on the road and benches provided for rest.

It wasn't long before Luo An spotted a middle-aged white male sitting on a bench near a trash can, with a backpack beside him and writing in a notebook.

"We've spotted Terence Rob."

Pressing the communicator, Luo An whispered:

"On the bench by the trash can."

Guided by Luo An's directions, Reid also quickly located the target:

"OK, we see him too."

Luo An and Reid simultaneously led their agents to encircle Terence Rob's position without drawing attention. Sensing sothing, Terence Rob looked around, furrowed his brows, grabbed his backpack, and stood up from the bench, preparing to leave the area.

At this mont, aside from Terence Rob, there happened to be no other passersby around the bench. Seeing this, Luo An did not hesitate and imdiately, along with SWAT mbers, drew his pistol and aid at the target:

"FBI! Don't move!"

Terence Rob's face changed drastically and he turned to run, but Reid had already led two SWAT mbers to block his way:

"FBI!"

"Don't move! Put down your backpack!"

The bystanders in the surrounding area scattered at the mont Luo An drew his pistol and shouted. Terence Rob, seeing himself completely surrounded, wore an extrely unpleasant expression.

"I didn't want it to be this way."

Realizing he had no way to escape, Terence Rob's face gradually turned to despair:

"I swear to God, I didn't do it on purpose!"

Luo An had no interest in discussing this with him. Seeing Terence Rob talking while reaching his hand into the backpack, he shouted again:

"Remove your hand from the backpack imdiately! Terence!"

But Terence Rob's movent did not cease; he even pulled out a handgun from within.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Seeing the handgun, Luo An, Reid, and their agents simultaneously pulled their triggers within the next second.

Several streams of fresh blood flowed, and Terence Rob slowly fell to the ground.

Approaching Terence Rob, Luo An kicked away the pistol that was lying beside him:

"Call an ambulance imdiately."

"OK."

Reed turned around and left.

Picking up the backpack, he opened it. Inside, there was not only a knife, so clothes, but also the notes Terence Rob had been writing earlier.

After finishing the call, Reed walked back, saw the notes in Luo An's hands, and asked:

"Find anything?"

"So personal information and behavioral tracks of people like Paul Blake, such as ho addresses, license plate numbers, etc."

Luo An casually flipped through a few pages, then handed them to Reed:

"There are also Terence Rob's own psychological thoughts, as well as so 'revelations' given to him by God."

"God wouldn't let a man chop off his own thing."

Reed curled his lips, casually flipped through the notes a few tis, and then put them into the evidence bag.

"Indeed."

Luo An nodded. Monts later, when he saw the approaching ambulance, he suddenly rembered sothing and turned to Reed with a smile:

"By the way, Reed, what do you think about the city of Los Angeles?"

Reed: "?"

The next day.

Because he was busy until the evening yesterday, it wasn't until noon the next day that Luo An got up from bed and drove to work.

Then, at his desk, he spent the afternoon sparring online with fellows in the community, and soon it was ti to finish work.

At eight o'clock in the evening, at a barbecue restaurant called "Blue Tuna" near the Jacob Federation Building.

It was the one that the Unit 5 investigation team went to after Luo An was promoted to deputy team leader last ti.

"Cheers!"

All agents of the Unit 5 investigation team raised their glasses and cheered in unison.

After drinking the beer in the glass in one gulp, Augustus filled his glass again, then raised it and said loudly:

"Everyone! Tonight's gathering is not only because our Unit 5 investigation team has been awarded a group dal, but also because we have successfully cracked a serial murder case!

In these two events, one person has put in the most effort, and that is our Deputy Team Leader Luo An!

So, let's all toast to Luo An!"

"Here's to Luo An!"

Everyone raised their glasses to clink with Luo An.

Luo An lifted his glass:

"Receiving the group dal and solving the case isn't just my own effort; it has always been inseparable from everyone's support, so I toast to all of you!"

"Haha..."

Everyone laughed heartily in unison, making the party atmosphere even more vibrant.

After drinking the alcohol in their glasses, Reed and Mona grabbed steaks and seafood to eat; Reesi had disappeared sowhere, likely having taken a fancy to one of the female waitresses.

Luo An swallowed the oyster in his mouth, turned his head to Augustus, and, after thinking for a bit, asked in a low voice:

"Chief, about my transfer to Los Angeles next month... Do you have any plans for after that?"

The solve rate of Unit 5 investigation team was basically all pulled up by Luo An alone. Augustus wasn't really skilled in handling cases; recently, he's been in charge of logistics, mainly dealing with equipnt finances and follow-up casework.

If he left, the solve rate of Unit 5 investigation team...

Understanding the subtext in Luo An's words, Augustus gave him a sidelong glance and then patted Luo An's shoulder, saying:

"You don't need to worry about this, I have my ways."

Seeing the confidence written all over Augustus's face, Luo An chuckled, raised his glass, and toasted Augustus.

The evening's gathering was very lively, but as the saying goes, all good parties must co to an end. Moreover, since they had to work as usual the next day, after a little more than an hour, all the agents started to head ho.

Just as Luo An and Mona were about to leave, Reed suddenly walked over, indicating he had sothing to discuss.
