Upon hearing Vireness's question, the female agent hesitated, not answering imdiately but glanced at Luo An instead.
Seeing this, Vireness did not wait for Luo An to speak and firmly said:
"It's alright, just speak directly."
"OK."
The female agent walked into the office, closed the door, and said in a low voice:
"The agent's na is Angelique-Thompson, she is a senior agent in the organized cri investigation unit, team two."
Luo An frowned. Agent Norton ca from the first investigating unit of the organized cri division, and when he previously sought out Agent Norton, he seed to have accidentally seen the victim.
In his mory, the victim was a middle-aged Caucasian woman with freckles, an unremarkable physique, and who liked to laugh when she spoke.
Vireness's expression turned exceptionally ugly upon hearing this na.
Luo An, puzzled, listened as Vireness whispered in his ear:
"Angelique-Thompson was a senior agent of the forr team five."

Hearing that Angelique-Thompson also had this identity, Luo An's pupils shrank instantly.
Could it be another revenge incident from a surviving mber of that previously encountered drug lord family?
Seeing Vireness and Luo An glancing at each other but not speaking, the female agent twitched her mouth and quickly added:
"Supervisor, the news dia in New York has already got wind of this, and there's a bunch of reporters downstairs asking about this, what do you think..."

Vireness did not hesitate. This was her first case as a special agent supervisor, and she was determined to make a solid start. As the female agent hurried out of the office, Vireness imdiately turned to Luo An:
"Luo An, I'm handing this case over to your team five."

Luo An guessed Vireness's intentions. Without exaggeration, team five was the top general under Vireness.
Seeing Luo An nodding his agreent, Vireness finally let out a sigh of relief, and her corners of the mouth slightly lifted. Following this, she added with a serious face:
"Luo An, if you encounter difficulties during the investigation, or if other departnts are uncooperative, rember to contact imdiately."
Vireness wasn't particularly skilled in solving cases, but helping Luo An clear obstacles was sothing she would never just watch from the sidelines, nor would she show leniency.
Hearing this, Luo An grinned:
"Of course, Supervisor."

"For the past fifteen years, Angelique-Thompson has been a respected and honored mber of our FBI family.

Displayed highest on a TV in the front of the office area, was the live broadcast of Vireness holding the press conference.
Augustus and other team leaders all stood aside like background panels.
"The familiar feeling has returned."
William, seated, stretched his arms crossed forward, and admiringly said:
"Vireness always improvises at press conferences, she's truly brilliant."
"Forget the press conference."
At the very front of the office area, Luo An, holding a docunt, loudly asked:
"How's it going, did you find out Angelique-Thompson's recent work details yet?"
"Of course."
William shifted his gaze from the TV, tapped the keyboard a few tis, and said:
"The organized cri investigation unit just sent over the relevant information.
Unfortunately, we haven't found anything suspicious in her recent work details."
Hearing this while going through papers in the folder, Luo An looked up and said:
"Then we need to delve deeper into the cases of those crooks who Angelique-Thompson imprisoned, and who are still breathing.
Especially drug-trafficking cases, and don't forget, Angelique-Thompson was a mber of the forr team five!"
"OK."
Seeing William and the others begin to type on their keyboards, Luo An turned his gaze towards Mona and said:
"Check on Angelique Thompson's financial status, see if she owed anyone money or if soone owed her money.
Investigate her personal circumstances beyond her work ticulously."

Mona nodded, her fingers flittering across the keyboard, when at that mont, Reesi pushed open the door of investigation team 5's office area and said:
"Angelique Thompson's body has been transported back to the forensic lab."
Upon hearing this, Luo An imdiately threw down the folder in his hand and quickly left investigation team 5:
"Going to check on the body now."

Forensic lab, autopsy room.
"All of Angelique Thompson's belongings like her wallet, watch, and cash are intact, nothing was taken.

Moerp, the forensic doctor, arms akimbo, pointed at the body on the autopsy table and said:

Moerp Forensic Doctor chuckled and asked:
"You must be Deputy Group Leader Greenwood."
"Just call Luo An."
Luo An reached out his hand and smiled as he shook hands with him. Moerp Forensic Doctor, in his fifties, had been working at the FBI for over thirty years and was a respected senior.
Moerp Forensic Doctor chuckled and withdrew his hand. Such a young deputy group leader was quite rare; having worked so many years in the FBI, he had only seen one when he was young, Luo An was the second one he'd ever t.
"The cri scene is in Lower District, Queens."
After sizing up Luo An thoroughly, Moerp Forensic Doctor smacked his lips, impressed by the younger generation, then turned around to grab a folder from the table, saying:
"The cri scene is in Lower District, Queens, NYPD didn't find any eyewitnesses.
Moreover, the place where Angelique Thompson parked was very secluded, and we also couldn't find any surveillance caras."

Reesi cursed softly, Luo An then thought of sothing and asked:
"Have the ballistic traces been matched?"

"It's Angelique's husband; he also works for the FBI."
