Investigation Team 5, office area.

Luo An sat in the chair, looking over the docunts in his hand while calmly sipping his coffee. Not far away, William looked up and said:

"According to the investigation, the hoodie man's license plate was fake, and the car was also stolen."

Beside him, Mona tapped a few keys on the keyboard and added:

"After that car left the area where the warehouse is located, it disappeared from the street surveillance caras."

"He's a very cautious guy."

Luo An placed the coffee on the table, stood up from his chair and stretched, turning his attention to Reesi and said with a smile:

"Let's go together to interrogate this guy, Connor Trunner."

Ten minutes ago, Connor Trunner, who had just been treated for his wounds, was brought back to the interrogation room of Investigation Team 5 by Reed.

"OK."

Reesi nodded her head, imdiately grabbed her notebook and followed Luo An.

Beside them, Mona and Reed exchanged glances before getting up and walking into the surveillance room next to the interrogation room.

Inside the interrogation room, Connor Trunner's hands were cuffed to the table, his head bowed in silence, expressionless.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Trunner."

Pushing open the door and walking into the interrogation room, Reesi sat on the chair while Luo An leaned against the wall with his arms folded, smiling:

"We found gasoline, foam plastic, tubing, and a whole lot of other ingredients for making Molotov cocktails in the warehouse you rented."

Connor Trunner shrugged:

"I studied chemistry, these are just for my experints and research."

Reesi's eyes narrowed slightly:

"After Councilman Emmanuel's death, you praised the incident extensively on the forums, even saying that others should do the sa."

Connor Trunner remained indifferent:

"Just a rant online, what's said doesn't an it's actually ant to be done. Federal law supports freedom of speech."

"You've thought about these excuses for a long ti, haven't you?"

Leaning against the wall, Luo An chuckled and took over the docunts from Reesi, saying:

"We checked your records, during your college years you illegally hacked into other political organization's offices multiple tis, causing public disorder with illegal thods during protests... all pretty amateurish stuff.

But Trunner, this ti you really did pull off sothing big."

Connor Trunner's facial expression unchanged:

"Sorry, I don't understand what you're talking about."

"Let make this clear to you upfront, Trunner."

Opening and slamming the folder in front of Connor Trunner, Luo An dropped the smile from his face and said sternly:

"It doesn't matter whether you were the one who lit the fire, you're already in trouble. Under federal law, this is called 'co-conspirator liability.'

If those Molotov cocktails that were taken away are used again and kill soone, you'll have to bear the responsibility.

Furthermore, as the maker of the Molotov cocktails, being arrested and refusing to cooperate ans your charges will only be heavier than your accomplices, and you'll spend more ti in prison than them."

Upon hearing this, Connor Trunner's body suddenly stiffened, and after a few seconds of silence, he took a deep breath, raised his head, and looked at Luo An seriously:

"A Soldier's sacrifice for a cause is the most noble thing in this world."

Hearing this, the expression of Reesi in the interrogation room, as well as Reed in the surveillance room, grew grave, clearly a case of brainwashing.

Mona next to Reed was also nervous, but seeing Luo An's unchanging expression, her suddenly clenched fists slowly relaxed.

Luo An in the interrogation room snorted and asked:

"That line, was it that accomplice who told it to you?"

Connor Trunner did not answer, but the gaze in his eyes grew even more resolute.

"It seems that's the case."

Luo An nodded, the reaction was as good as a direct admission, then he continued to say:

"But you are not a soldier, Trunner."

Connor Trunner's eyes flickered, and upon witnessing this, Luo An narrowed his eyes before continuing:

"Moreover, your political goal is to oppose gun prohibition, right?

If you die, do you think your accomplices will carry on with this goal?"

As Connor Trunner was about to lift his head to speak, Luo An shook his head, pointing to the docunts in the folder and continued:

"No way, he won't continue to support your goal.

Based on the quantity of gasoline and foam plastic you purchased, you must have made about 70 incendiary bottles.

But at the two cri scenes, and what was left in your warehouse, there were less than 23 bottles combined. So where did the rest go? Surely, your accomplices took them to sell for money."

"Impossible!"

Hearing this, Trunner's face flushed red:

"He would never do such a thing!"

Though he said that, Trunner's eyes were spinning as he looked at the docunts in front of him, and he began to subconsciously lick his chapped lips.

Trunner's sudden intense reaction startled Reesi, and Ried and Mona in the monitoring room were sowhat stunned, while Luo An with a slight raise of his eyebrows, laughingly asked with open palms:

"Why not? You just handed over the incendiary bottles to him. Do you know specifically how he used them?"

"Because... Because..."

Trunner in the chair spun his eyes wildly, wanting to speak but having no idea what to say.

Seeing his reaction, Luo An knew it was ti, so he leaned forward, his eyes fixed on Trunner, and said coldly:

"That guy is older than you, right?

He told you it's the most noble thing for a soldier to die for their goal, convincing you to refuse to give us his na.

After you go to jail, he'll be living it up with your money on the outside. When he thinks of you, he's probably going to laugh at you for taking the fall for him..."

Seeing the cold light close at hand in Luo An's eyes, Trunner's face turned pale and his lips trembled.

Luo An, observing this, softened the coldness in his voice and said in a low tone:

"Connor, you're only 22 years old. You've got a whole lot of life ahead of you, and prison is definitely not a good place.

Your chance to save yourself cos only once, now, tell , who exactly is your accomplice?"

The atmosphere in the interrogation room was incredibly quiet. Reesi, who was sitting by the side and had witnessed the whole process, dare not even breathe heavily. Her fists were clenched tightly, her eyes fixed on Trunner across from her.

The scene in the monitoring room was likewise tense, Ried and Mona subconsciously slowed their breathing, all leaning forward, eyes glued to the monitor.

"Wilkin, his na is Wilkin."

After a long ti had passed, Trunner sighed and said in a low voice:

"I t him at the 'Black Forest' bar in Brooklyn District."

Bang!

The mont Trunner spoke, Mona clapped her hands and her mouth curled into a smile, the Ried beside her bead with a smile and slapped the table hard:

"Beautifully done! I knew Luo An could do it!"

Inside the interrogation room, Reesi's eyes glead brightly, and although she didn't speak for fear of attracting Trunner's attention, her look of admiration towards Luo An was evident. She gave a discreet thumbs up to Mona in the monitoring room behind her.

Seeing this, Mona's smile grew even wider.

Luo An, engaged in the interrogation, missed the expressions of the others behind him. Hearing Trunner's response, he continued to ask:

"Do you know where Wilkin lives?"

"Sorry."

At this point, Trunner was looking down. Hearing Luo An's question, he slowly replied:

"I really don't know where he is. We always t at the warehouse."

"No problem."

Luo An stood up straight and smilingly said:

"A sketch artist will co over later. You tell us everything about this Wilkin—his height, build, appearance, skin color, all of it. OK?"

"OK."
