Queens, a large automobile repair shop, two kittens, one black and one white, were playing with each other at the entrance.

Reesi and Luo An walked past the gate into the shop, ignoring the chaotic noises, Luo An shouted:

"Who is the manager of this shop?"

"I am!"

As soon as Luo An finished speaking, a middle-aged white man in a denim suit ca over and asked:

"What do you need from ?"

"FBI, you can call Luo An."

Taking out a gold badge from his pocket and showing it to the man, Luo An asked:

"Did you guys lose a new model rcedes here?"

"Yes."

Hearing Luo An's words, the middle-aged white man quickly nodded, reached out to shake hands with him, and said:

"My na is Frank Turner.

Early this morning, when I had just arrived here, I found that the window at the back door had been smashed."

Following Frank's pointing, Luo An saw a door with a gap in the lower left corner of a window.

It was clear that the criminal had smashed the glass and then reached in to unlock the door from the inside.

Frank led Luo An and Reesi to where the rcedes had been parked and continued explaining:

"I discovered the rcedes was stolen and imdiately reported it to the police.

But the NYPD just ca here to ask a few questions, took down the license plate number, then left and told to wait for news."

Frank had also encountered such incidents in his youth and knew that there was a high probability the rcedes would not be recovered and that he would have to compensate.

Every day in New York, vehicles are lost, but less than one-tenth of them are successfully recovered.

"OK."

Looking around at the ceiling, Luo An pointed to a nearby cara and asked:

"Did the security surveillance record anything?"

"Most of them are under repair; only one is still working."

Frank deeply regretted not having urged the repairn sooner.

Luo An nodded:

"Let's take a look at the surveillance footage."

Although there was only one cara, it covered the area from the back door to where the rcedes was parked, maybe there would be so findings.

The surveillance video was quickly presented before Luo An and Reesi.

The video showed the ti as 3:30 a.m. today, and a dark figure entered from the direction of the back door.

Unfortunately, the car thief didn't walk through the area monitored by this cara but moved from another area next to the rcedes.

"Damn."

Reesi frowned, turned to look at Frank beside her, and asked in a serious tone:

"How many people knew that the store's caras were under repair?"

Reesi felt that the criminal might be a regular custor of this store.

"This..."

Upon hearing this, Frank lowered his head and fell silent.

Reesi's face showed confusion:

"What, you can't rember?"

Frank shook his head:

"No, there are just too many people who knew the caras were under repair, I'm still calculating."

Reesi: "..."

"Let's not focus on the caras for now."

Before Reesi could begin to express her speechlessness, Luo An beside her beckoned and pointed to a shadow on the ground in the video, asking:

"Is this shadow on the ground one of the two cats kept at your shop's entrance?"

The surveillance video had no audio, but as the car thief entered the hall, the shadow on the ground showed that a dark shadow had jumped onto the thief and then quickly left through the back door.

"No, they were just brought in by this morning."

Looking down at the surveillance, Frank's face looked extrely distressed:

"The cat in the surveillance is nad Bush; it's a different one.

That bastard was discovered by Bush while stealing the car, and then he shot and killed it."

A cat nad Bush…

Luo An raised an eyebrow, swallowed the comnts he was about to make, and looked at the shadow in the surveillance video lunging at the car thief. He asked in a serious tone:

"May I ask if you could hand it over to us?"

In the social customs of the federal system, animals such as cats and dogs are often considered as family mbers.

Since Luo An wasn't sure whether Frank held the sa view, he decided to ask for his opinion.

"What?"

Frank was slightly stunned:

"Bush has already been buried by . What do you want it for?"

Luo An straightened up and turned his head to signal Reesi to copy the surveillance video, then explained:

"When the car thief appeared in the video, it jumped on the person, and the assassin also killed it...

So, I think it is very likely that when it was frightened, its claws might have accidentally scratched the car thief."

If that was the case, the forensic departnt could potentially find the car thief's DNA from the marks on the cat's claws.

Hearing Luo An's words, Reesi, who was copying the surveillance video, lit up with excitent and began to carefully review the footage.

Frank was extrely shocked and after a few seconds of silence, he nodded heavily in agreent:

"...OK!"

——

At three o'clock in the afternoon, at the office area of Investigation Team Five.

"Ladies and gentlen, great news!"

While Mona and William were struggling with the computer keyboards, Reesi was busy handing over the situation of the rcedes car to NYPD, and Luo An was aimlessly sitting in a new chair drinking coffee and spinning around, Ross suddenly burst through the door.

Seeing everyone's eyes turn towards him, Ross loudly explained:

"Luo An's judgnt was indeed correct!

The forensic departnt found so fresh skin tissue in both of Bush's front paws!

Based on the tests, we found a na in the database: Rossland Lewis!"

Hearing Ross's words, Luo An slapped his hands together with a smile:

"Well done, Ross!"

"No, it's all thanks to your brilliance, Luo An!"

Ross looked at Luo An with admiration; he had seen the video surveillance brought back by Reesi. Despite it being very dark and the cat's appearance very brief,

Luo An was still able to find the key clues to identify the enemy...

Ross looked at Luo An with gratitude in his eyes and felt his spirit reinvigorated, confident that this week's bonus was secure.

Unlike the other mbers of Investigation Team Five, Ross, who had a wife and son, placed a higher value on the post-case bonuses.

That's why, although Ross was older than Luo An, he had subconsciously started following Luo An's orders as a priority during their investigations.

Taking the file handed by Ross, Luo An turned and said:

"Mona, next..."

"I've already found the information on Rossland Lewis!"

Mona interrupted Luo An before he could finish speaking and tossed him a pair of sanitary gloves.

She began her search as soon as Ross ntioned the na.

"Typical Mona, always so fast."

Chuckling, Luo An ignored Mona's rolling eyes and asked:

"What's the specific situation with this guy?"

"Rossland Lewis, 42 years old, parents deceased, never attended high school, resides in Brooklyn Upper District."

As Mona typed rapidly on the keyboard, she responded:

"At 18, he chose to join the military, and later entered a mountain division.

During so operations, Rossland was extrely brutal, often murdering children and won, which led to nurous complaints and dissatisfaction among his teammates.

At 33, Rossland retired, and details afterwards are unclear.

However, according to the records, he has been a suspect in several murder cases, but there was no evidence. So, the database speculates that he likely turned into a professional assassin."

Stopping there, Mona paused:

"If Rossland is really just an assassin, then it ans there is soone else behind this case."

Luo An nodded:

"Let's capture him first."

The known conduct of federal soldiers in foreign nations was not unfamiliar, and the atrocities committed by Rossland were also done by others.

However, the fact that Rossland's actions drew complaints from other soldiers… the scenes at the ti must have been quite extraordinary.

Quietly elevating the ntal illness danger level of Rossland in his mind, Luo An patted Ross on the shoulder, and the two quickly walked into the equipnt room.

Watching Ross's retreating figure, William scratched his head:

"This ti, I hope Ross doesn't get hurt."

Mona: "..."
