Avar Miller's residence is located in the western part of the Bronx, in a place known as the Fordham community.

The population here is mainly Latino and African Arican, with so whites, and virtually no Asians.

Additionally, this area has a higher rate of teenage mothers giving birth than any other area or community in New York.

In later years, it's referred to as one of New York's top ten most dangerous areas; co nightfall, even the NYPD dislikes patrolling here, which says a lot about the local practices of simplicity, freedom, and harmony.

However, the community looks okay during the dayti.

Fully ard Luo An is driving with Reed into this community, passing by myriad street vendors and so African Arican kids running around on the streets.

"Be extra careful later, Luo An."

Seeing the ease and calmness on Luo An's face, Reed, sitting in the passenger seat, clenched the Glock 18 in his hand and said softly:

"This area doesn't welco the NYPD, let alone the FBI."

Reed claims he's not a racist, but it's an indisputable fact that areas with a higher population of African Aricans have higher cri rates.

The Fordham community isn't very big, but it's ho to a dozen or so African Arican gangs.

"Don't be nervous, Reed, trust in the gear we're packing."

Luo An turned the steering wheel, driving the SUV onto another street while laughingly patting the weapons on his body.

As usual, Luo An was wearing a combat suit, equipped with a tactical vest and multiple pouches around his waist stuffed with 10 stun grenades and 10 extended magazines; also, in his holster, he kept two Glock 18s.

Reed was similarly equipped.

Considering both n's skills, unless the gangs decided to ambush them at the sa ti and place beforehand, there wouldn't be much of an issue.

Seeing Luo An's composure eased Reed's nerves.

Bullets are like calming stones, and the gear on them is the weight that keeps them anchored.

Now, all mbers of Unit Five had this subconscious confidence in Luo An, including Reed.

After a few more minutes, the SUV slowly pulled up beside a rundown two-story building.

Stepping out of the car, so passersby quickly chose to leave and detour around at the sight of the fully-ard Luo An and Reed.

One of the life-saving tricks for those living here is to not be curious and to stay away from anything that obviously spells trouble.

Inside the small building was a motel, with Reed pushing the door to enter. Just as he was about to inquire at the front desk, Luo An sniffed the air, his brow furrowed tightly, and after surveying the layout of the motel, suddenly drew his gun and aid it at the receptionist.

"???

Caught by surprise, Reed also subconsciously raised his pistol.

But in the mont that Reed raised his arm, the African Arican owner, despite not understanding how he was exposed so quickly, did not hesitate to act and imdiately drew a gun from under the desk.

Bang bang!

Bang!

Three gunshots rang out, and just as the owner made a move, Luo An decisively pulled the trigger.

Two bullets hit his chest, and one bullet hit his head, the African Arican owner closed his eyes and collapsed backward onto the floor.

"Reed!"

Having dispatched the African Arican owner, Luo An hurriedly pulled Reed behind the front desk counter.

Bang bang bang—

As expected, in the next second, a flurry of bullets fired from the top of the stairs, hitting right where they were previously standing.

Ignoring the slippery feeling of the owner's blood, Reed, though unclear about what was happening but drawing from his rich combat experience, imdiately raised his pistol and returned fire.

Not only that, Reed had learned from Luo An's technique; seizing the mont, he pulled out a stun grenade from his waist and threw it over.

Boom!

A blinding white light and a deafening explosion erupted in the staircase, and the enemies who had been firing were suddenly filled with cries of agony.

"Well done!"

Luo An, who had successfully found Avar Miller's room number in the notes on the front desk, patted Reed's shoulder approvingly, and then gestured for him to look at the cabinet he had opened.

Led looked back and saw the dead body of a Latin girl with her eyes wide open in the cabinet.

It was clear that this girl was the front desk clerk of the motel.

"The sll of blood is too strong; I have a sensitive nose."

After casually explaining and facing Led's admiring gaze, Luo An revealed Avar Miller's room and then whispered:

"Call for backup, quick battle and quick decision."

"OK!"

Following the order, Led imdiately pressed the communicator while Luo An got up and vaulted over the front desk.

At this mont, several black youths were lying on the stairs, wailing, as a few others bent down to pull them upstairs.

Seeing Luo An's figure, the black youths who were lifting others all changed their expressions and raised their weapons at Luo An.

Before they could react, Luo An had thrown another flashbang towards the stairs as soon as he vaulted over the desk.

Bang!

The mont the flashbang exploded, Luo An imdiately pulled the trigger of the Glock 18.

Bang bang bang—

A series of gunshots rang out, and the stairs were imdiately splattered with lon juice.

Having completed the call for backup, Led ran to Luo An's side.

Standing at the bottom of the staircase, Luo An threw two more flashbangs upstairs, then raised his left hand and gestured without any unnecessary words:

"You take left, I take right!"

"No problem!"

Led charged upstairs ahead of Luo An, firing at two black n preparing to attack him and then proceeded to check every room on the left side of the second floor.

Luo An, with an expressionless face, walked upstairs, took cover by the wall at the staircase entrance, aid his gun at the black n who had been shot by Led on the ground but were unsure if dead, and chose to perform a coup de grâce.

They were still holding guns, and Luo An didn't want to risk being backstabbed by these guys due to any oversight from himself or Led.

However, Luo An chose not to shoot these black n in the head but in their left and right chest.

After today's incident, he and Led would certainly face questioning and investigation.

If he had popped these people's heads with his gun, that would have given those who had been eyeing Luo An an excuse to criticize him.

Luo An always likes to look several steps ahead in his work.

Especially now that Vireness is still lying in the hospital.

After reloading with a new magazine, Luo An's figure flashed and disappeared on the spot, quickly checking each room on the right side of the corridor.

The first few rooms were empty until Luo An was getting closer to Avar Miller's room when a burly black man with a submachine gun suddenly jumped out.

Seeing Luo An, who was a head shorter than him, the burly black man smirked with a smile.

The muzzle flared with flas roaring out.

Bang bang!

Bang!

Three gunshots and the burly black man's face suddenly stiffened.

The next mont, he felt numb in his hands and legs, lost control of his limbs, and the submachine gun, which he didn't manage to fire, dropped powerlessly to the ground.

Looking at the burly black man's corpse, Luo An blew on the barrel of the Glock 18 and spat disdainfully:

Looking like that, what's there to smile about?

Entering the room in a guarded posture, Luo An discovered a Caucasian man with a gunshot wound in his chest lying on the floor, and the window of the room was completely shattered.

The Caucasian man was not Avar Miller, but he bore so resemblance to him.

Approaching the window and examining the glass shards, which scattered from inside to outside, Luo An deduced that soone had escaped from the room by jumping out of the window.

Turning back, Luo An just bent down to check the Caucasian man's injury on the ground, seeing if he was dead, when the man suddenly spat out a mouthful of fresh blood and struggled to say in a low voice:

"Help..."
