After handing over the case to Investigation Team 5 that day, Kobert suddenly woke up from his sleep that night:

He could have temporarily drawn elite investigators from various teams to solve the case together.

In that case, the success rate would definitely be higher, and the pace faster.

Although Reenith had ntioned Luo An of Team 5 in front of Kobert several tis before, and had also shown him the files of cases Luo An had solved,

Kobert still had his doubts.

Kobert acknowledged that Luo An was a rare talent, but Luo An was too young now, and it was normal for young people to be inconsistent.

Thinking again about the killer behind the case being so brazen, with complex thods of committing the cri... Kobert pondered for a long ti, and eventually decided to make this call.

He didn't think Luo An could find the killer so quickly, at most Luo An had found so clues and was preparing to follow up, and it was still uncertain whether these clues would be useful.

"If Investigation Team 5 hasn't found any leads at this point,"

Lying in the hospital bed, Kobert sighed:

"I'll just take the case back from him, then draw elite investigators from each team to solve it together."

Of course, if Team 5 really hadn't found any useful clues now, Kobert wouldn't be angry, nor would he think any less of Luo An for it.

Finding clues and solving cases is inherently difficult, not to ntion Luo An is so young, and the case was given to Team 5 not long ago.

Kobert planned to take the case back and have Luo An join that elite team too, hoping Luo An could learn from the experiences of his peers.

Thinking this, Kobert, lying on the hospital bed, looked at the TV in front of him and asked over the phone:

"You've worked hard, Luo An. How is this case coming along?"

Inside the office of the head of Investigation Team 5, upon hearing Kobert's question, Luo An raised his eyebrow and answered confidently and without any sign of inferiority:

"Chief, we have identified a key figure in this case, who is highly likely to be the real culprit!"

"Cough cough cough..."

Upon hearing the words that ca through the phone, Kobert, who was just about to talk about transferring the case, was suddenly choked by his saliva, and his face turned red.

After coughing for a while, Kobert asked solemnly with a stern face:

"Do you an, you have found the killer?"

Kobert's first reaction to Luo An's statent was that he was lying.

Even if it wasn't a lie, then Luo An must have exaggerated the importance of the clue.

Kobert had also served as a team supervisor when he was young, and he had seen this type of situation many tis.

Considering this, Kobert looked a little upset.

"No, Chief, we have found soone with a significant suspicion of committing the cri."

In the team leader's office, hearing Kobert's words, Luo An shook his head again and again.

He would never speak with absolute certainty before catching the person; that would be digging his own grave.

Imdiately after, Luo An briefly summarized all the clues that Investigation Team 5 had found, as well as the fact that Luo An-Garcia had killed to silence soone and had learned ammunition-manufacturing techniques, over the phone to Kobert.

In the distant hospital, Kobert, lying on the bed, instantly sat up straight, and then fell silent.

As ntioned before, Kobert had spent a long ti in a team supervisor position when he was young and had enough ability to analyze and judge the clues of a case.

So after hearing Luo An's words, he also imdiately judged that Garcia was a major suspect.

Imdiately, the expression on Kobert's face beca complicated.

He had never expected that Luo An would actually lead Team 5 to find important clues in such a short amount of ti.

Thinking back to how he had just been planning to take the case away and give it to a temporarily assembled elite team...

Kobert's old face turned slightly red.

Hearing no more sound from the other end of the phone, Luo An tilted his head and after a silent mont continued to speak:

"Chief, our biggest problem right now is that we can't find Garcia.

The ATF (Federal Gun Control Bureau) has a case related to Garcia, they may well know where Garcia is hiding, but the case has been set with access restrictions, and we're unable to view it..."

The speed at which Luo An's side was investigating the case shocked Kobert.

Now knowing that Luo An's team had encountered difficulties, Kobert didn't hesitate and imdiately spoke out loud and clear:

"I'll handle this matter. I'll have the case officer from ATF bring the files to you imdiately!"

Even if Luo An had said the other party was the CIA, NSA, or even the military instead of the ATF, Kobert would have called directly to request the files.

"Alright, thank you, Chief."

As soon as Luo An finished speaking, Kobert called the senior managent at ATF.

After a mont, the ATF officials nodded in agreent.

Hanging up the phone, Kobert looked down at his phone, then at the Deputy Director being interviewed on TV, his smile broadening until even his molars were showing:

"Luo An Greenwood, not bad! I like this guy! He's a natural for this business!"

Luo An had brought Kobert a pleasant surprise, and after a mont of reflection, Kobert decided that he would send Luo An a surprise as well once this case was completely resolved.

---

Half an hour later, in the conference room of Investigation Team Five.

"Garcia isn't so small fry."

Sanchez, the case officer from ATF, clutched a docunt in his hand, sat across from Luo An and Mona with a serious expression, and said:

"Several assassination cases in South Arica, it's said that Garcia is the mastermind behind them."

Hearing this, Luo An raised an eyebrow: "Is this the case you've been hiding?"

"This is just one of them."

Recalling the orders his superiors had given him before coming here, Sanchez sighed, placed the docunt on the table, pushed it towards Luo An, and spoke with a grave face:

"Garcia has a good friend accomplice nad Sean McCain.

McCain owns a private gun club in Brooklyn.

The number of illegal guns in the New York Region has exploded in the last two years, and we suspect that this is connected to McCain.

Garcia often visits that club, and we set restricted access to cases involving Garcia because we were investigating McCain."

"OK."

Luo An quickly flipped through the folder and continued to ask:

"Does Garcia still frequent there?"

Sanchez nodded: "He was there just two days ago."

Tossing the folder aside, Luo An stood up from his chair and asked:

"Where is it?"

After determining Garcia was a pri suspect, Investigation Team Five had distributed his information and photos to all federal locations, monitoring borders and flight lists.

But no leads were uncovered.

Now that he had finally gotten a lead on the private gun club, Luo An decided to send soone to stake it out, and to arrest Garcia as soon as he appeared.

After having Sanchez lead Reesi and Leid to the location of the private gun club, Luo An sat back at his own workstation and began to carefully review Garcia's file.

If the ATF's information was not wrong, Luo An did not understand why Garcia, an assassin mainly active in South Arica, would use a bomb to kill Councilman Matai inside an FBI building.

Such behavior would only draw more attention to Garcia.

A good while passed, and soon it was ti to leave work.

No news of Garcia's appearance ca from the private gun club, Reesi and Leid were still staking out, so Investigation Team Five had to work overti for the day.

Mona took two burgers from August, kept one for herself, and handed the other to Luo An, who was sitting motionless in his chair, still reviewing the files.

"Ti for dinner, Luo An. August specially bought these thick burgers."

"Thanks."

As Luo An was about to stuff the burger into his mouth, he suddenly noticed a piece of information in Garcia's data.

Casually tossing the burger to the side, Luo An carefully read the sentence in the data, then imdiately pulled up several surveillance video clips.

After checking the surveillance several tis and repeatedly verifying that the content in the data was correct, Luo An cursed loudly:

"Son of a bitch!"
