Warriors throughout the city began moving supplies necessary for a great battle, bundles of arrows as thick as arms, flashing a dim light, were carried up to the city walls and placed in the Arrow Towers!
Above the city, warriors were seen flitting by, and Xiao Chen, dressed in the attire of the Beast Sovereign Clan, walked brazenly through the city, even kindly helping to move a batch of arrows.
Using the pretext of helping, he managed to enter a storage room.

In the eastern part of Ruo Beast City, a vast military camp stood as the headquarters of the Eastern City Guard Army, where a warrior dressed like a servant was driving a beast cart, hauling a load of already skinned and cleaned Beast at into the camp, heading straight for the back of the barracks.

“Respected elders, this is precisely when we need you to take command.
I suspect that the humans have already infiltrated our city!”
“How is that possible?” exclaid the Heavenly Robe City Lord in disbelief.
“Have you found evidence?” asked the Earthly Robe City Lord imdiately afterward.
“No evidence,” Ruo Wantao replied, shaking his head, a brief flash of resolve in his eyes.
He then continued, “I have already sent ssengers to the Kuiju Family, but based on my understanding of that old man Kuiju, they won’t take it kindly.
The Kuiju Family is located south of the Yuji Family, and with the noxious Black Marsh to the south, the humans surely wouldn’t sacrifice troops to attack the Kuiju Family!”
“The reports indicate that the humans who have penetrated our Beast Underworld are incredibly elusive and adept at concealing themselves.”
“So based on these bizarre circumstances, you surmise that humans have infiltrated Ruo Beast City?
Even if they managed to sneak in, how many could there be?”
Heavenly Robe City Lord was sowhat skeptical.

The two of them were casually sipping drinks while waiting for nightfall.

In the city lord’s mansion, Ruo Wantao stood with his hands behind his back, listening to his subordinates while his eyes remained utterly unaffected, even amidst the chaotic sounds of slaughter engulfing the city.
“Issue the order to capture these humans alive!” he commanded.
Heavenly Robe City Lord and Earthly Robe City Lord both nodded in support.
“Wantao, it seems we were correct in entrusting the city to you.
A re explosion, a few shouts, and the lurking humans have been flushed out,” observed Heavenly Robe City Lord with a smile.
However, before the smile could fade from Heavenly Robe City Lord’s face, a warrior burst into the city lord’s mansion, bellowing loudly,
“Report, city lord!
A structured army of Human Race Warriors numbering at least a hundred thousand has appeared in the Eastern City and is slaughtering our clan mbers!”

The smile froze on Heavenly Robe City Lord’s face!
