"81%?!"
A whirlwind of scenarios spun through Broken's mind, each one more urgent than the last. And he knew he needed to address this imdiately.
"Polly, get down," he instructed.
Without hesitation, Polly descended swiftly, landing with grace before coming to a complete stop.
Sitting behind him, Alora caught the tension in his movents. "Broken?"
His mind raced, frantically analyzing every possible solution to their mounting challenges. The first was the massive teor hurtling toward the ground, a disaster poised to bring unimaginable destruction.
The second—equally daunting—was the unpredictability of Demian's next move. If he returned with more forces or an even more catastrophic plan, the kingdom would face devastation on an even larger scale.
But then, an idea struck him with startling clarity. It was sothing critical, a revelation that felt like a pivotal piece in the puzzle.
[The Unbreakable Heart Ring]
[Grade: Legendary]
[Partners - 1
Alora]
As he inspected the ring, he noticed Alora's na listed as his partner, unlocking its first feature: a 10% boost to all stats when fighting alongside her. Additionally, one of his skills, "Alora's Fierce Empowernt," would allow him to cast any skill at five levels higher than usual.
But there was more—another powerful potential that could be unlocked imdiately, one that might tip the scales in their favor.
His hand clenched into a tight fist as he debated the weight of the decision.
"Alora…"
"Yes?"
Broken dismounted from Polly, landing softly on the ground. Alora followed, stepping down. The two stood facing each other, their eyes locked for a mont.
Polly instinctively faded from sight, giving them the space they needed.
Yes!
His resolve solidified—there was no room for doubt anymore.
He raised his hand, showing the ring on his finger. "Princess," he said. "This is a ring I received from King Elandorr."
Alora nodded.
"This is the Unbreakable Heart Ring. It—"
Before he could finish, Alora interrupted him. "You'll unlock a powerful ability if you form a sacred bond with soone through that ring, won't you?"
Broken stared into her eyes, montarily caught off guard by her words..
"That's what happened when you bonded with Elaine," she added softly.
He nodded slowly.
"Princess," he began.
He paused briefly, trying to steady his thoughts, but the situation left no room for careful deliberation.
"Will you marry ?" he asked.
A faint smile spread across Princess Alora's lips, and then…
She nodded. "Yes."
She added. "Let's do it. Now."
"Princess?" Broken said, surprised by her swift agreent.
"I trust you, and I love you too," she said firmly. "Let's fulfill the minimum requirents for the ceremony, and then we can focus on fixing this ss."
"But..." Broken hesitated. "I don't want this to feel like sothing we're doing just out of desperation." He shook his head slightly, then t her gaze. "I love you too."
"I know," she replied, her smile gentle.
Broken pulled her close, holding her in a brief but heartfelt embrace.
There were three requirents for marriage: mutual consent from both parties, a pair of rings to exchange, and a witness—either an NPC or a player.
They had already fulfilled the first two requirents.
"Broken. Sorry." A voice interrupted them.
They both turned to see Frostedge landing nearby. He glanced at them briefly before looking away.
The third requirent had just arrived.
Another sacred bond with soone—he had done this once before with Elaine in a crucial mont. That bond had given them the chance to complete their quest and ultimately bring down Elaine herself.
But this ti, it was different.
This wasn't a choice born of necessity. Broken made this decision because he wanted to, because he had already resolved to take this step soday. The circumstances rely pushed them to move faster.
And yes, he was certain. He wanted Alora to be his wife. Whatever risks or responsibilities ca with this choice, he was ready to face them head-on.
Back when they were cornered, King Elandorr had entrusted a powerful boost to Princess Alora, unlocking new abilities for Broken in the process. Who knew what kind of skill might erge if he forged this profound bond with her now?
Broken released his embrace of Alora and gently took her right hand in his. He turned toward Frostedge, stepping closer.
"Frostedge," he said firmly.
Frostedge looked at him, bowing slightly out of respect.
"I need your help," Broken said.
"Of course. What do you need to do?"
"I want you to be the witness to my union with Princess Alora."
"What?" Frostedge froze, montarily stunned. His mouth fell open in surprise as he processed the request.
"Yes," he said at last, nodding quickly. "I can do it."
He agreed without overthinking, though his expression showed he was still wrapping his mind around the situation.
They all understood that this needed to be done without delay.
"Alright, Broken, I'll begin the process right away," Frostedge said.
Frostedge stood before them, his expression steady as he drew his sword and planted it into the ground. A faint icy mist swirled around them.
