[Astral Aegis of Unity Blueprint]
[Grade: Unique ~ Unique]
[A crafting blueprint for a one-ti-use legendary shield capable of creating a massive do-shaped barrier to neutralize catastrophic threats. The shield channels the caster's energy, reinforced by contributions from allies, to sustain and mitigate damage until the threat is eliminated.]
[Titanium Bars x2
Moonstones x1
Monster Soul Stones x10 (Any grade, additional stones enhance effectiveness)]
[Master Blacksmith.]
Broken shared the blueprint description with the group, and for the first ti in a while, they felt a glimr of hope. Fortunately, the item grade was limited to Unique, aning no matter how it was crafted, the final result would always be of Unique quality-a relief given their limited ti.
They quickly shuffled into the cramped space at the back of the carriage. So of the team moved to the front to make room, while Broken began preparing the materials.
He laid out all the Soul Stones he had:
[Epic - Emberclaw Soul Stone Lv. 215]
[Common - Spider Goblin Monster Soul Stone Lv. 215]
[Rare - Shadow Wolf Monster Soul Stone Lv. 218]
[Rare - Stone Goblin Monster Soul Stone Lv. 205]
[Common - Spider Goblin Monster Soul Stone Lv. 199]
[Elite - Shadow Wolf Monster Soul Stone Lv. 219]
[...]
In total, there were 13 Soul Stones on the anvil, each emitting a radiant, multicolored glow. The collection included 1 Epic, 10 Rare, and 2 Common stones.
Without saying a word, Rember stepped forward and began adding to the pile. One by one, he placed 39 Soul Stones onto the anvil: 20 Common, 15 Rare, and 4 Elite.
"Damn, that's a fortune," Forev muttered, her voice tinged with awe.
"Money can be earned again," Rember replied nonchalantly.
Next, Pussycat stepped up, pulling out 23 Soul Stones from her inventory. She added 15 Common and 8 Rare stones to the growing pile.
Forev sighed, shaking her head apologetically. "Sorry, Broken. I'm not as rich as those two." Before anyone could respond, Frostedge stepped forward, opening his inventory. As he began placing Soul Stones onto the anvil, the pile grew larger and larger until a total of 52 Soul Stones glead before them: 20 Rare, 20 Elite, and 12 Epic.
The others stared in stunned silence.
Rember quickly grabbed Frostedge's arm. "No, don't use them all. You need those Soul Stones-at least save the Epic-grade ones."
"That's easily 1.2 million USD in value," Freya added.
"It's fine. Soul Stones can be fard again," Frostedge replied calmly.
Freya chid in. "Frostedge, seriously, you need those for your build. Don't throw them all away."
Pussycat smirked, adding her own twist. "How about this? I'll sponsor you with a new EV and a Ho Bus. Interested?"
Frostedge hesitated. "We can't hold back. Any hesitation and we'll fail," he said firmly.
"How about I cover half the Soul Stones you're contributing, Frostedge?" Rember offered.
"Seriously, I don't mind doing this," Frostedge replied again.
"Can I proceed with this?" Broken interjected.
"Freya?" Rember turned to her.
Freya sighed. "Sorry. I don't collect things like these."
The room fell silent as everyone awaited Frostedge's decision.
Freya added, "Frostedge is already contributing about 50% of the total cost, especially if you factor in the price of Broken's titanium bars and moonstones in the materials."
Rember chid in again, "Seriously, money isn't an issue-if the problem is just money!"
PussyCat nodded. "Exactly. We can cover all of it if needed."
"I'm fine with whatever happens. At least we're giving it a shot," Frostedge said with a calm
but resolute tone.
Broken nodded. "I'll repay you in whatever way I can later," he promised.
Frostedge gave a slight bow, acknowledging Broken's words.
Without wasting any more ti, Broken began adding the remaining materials into the crafting interface. This would be his first ti using the auto-crafting feature, and even he felt a hint of nervousness.
[Astral Aegis of Unity Blueprint has been consud.]
[You have gained 100% knowledge of the blueprint.]
[Materials have been consud.]
[Crafting process initiated.]
The interface displayed the crafting progress:
[1%] [...]
[45%]
Everyone watched anxiously. The sheer value of the materials poured into the crafting process was staggering. If this didn't succeed, the loss would be catastrophic.
Freya smirked and quipped, "An item crafted with materials worth over two million USD. No
pressure."
[99%]
[100%]
A mont of stillness, then-
[Crafting process is complete!]
[You have successfully crafted a Unique-grade Astral Aegis of Unity Device (One-Ti Use).]
Broken held the item in his hands-a small, jet-black shield adorned with a dazzling array of multicolored gems. Each gem emitted a faint, srizing glow, as if pulsing with latent energy.
Without delay, he inspected the item's description and shared the details with the group. [Astral Aegis of Unity Device (One-Ti Use)]
[Grade: Unique]
[Health 50000
Defense 500
Constitution 200
Stamina 200]
[Durability: 100/100]
[Weight: 339]
[A legendary shield that creates a massive do to protect against catastrophic threats. The do absorbs damage using the caster's energy, strengthened by allies who channel their resources. It disperses the threat and vanishes after use.]
[Skills:]
[Do of Aetherial Unity (Active):
Generates a vast, radiant do-shaped barrier centered on the caster, with its apex aligned to
the caster's current height.
The do absorbs and mitigates damage from large-scale threats, redirecting it to the caster and nearby allies while continuously draining Health, Mana, and Stamina.
Duration: Persists until the threat is neutralized or the caster's resources are fully depleted.]
[Combined Strength (Conditional Passive):
Allies within the do can raise their hand to channel their Health, Mana, and Stamina,
bolstering the do's strength.
This collective energy reinforces the barrier's durability and accelerates its ability to neutralize the threat.]
[Resonance Amplification (Conditional Passive):
Distributes the sustained damage of the do across nearby allies within the barrier who
actively support it. This shared burden ensures the barrier's longevity, with the combined
energy mitigating and dismantling the incoming threat.
Support Bonuses: Allies contributing resources gain:
- Damage Mitigation (20%) to reduce strain on their own health.
- Skill Amplification (15%) for all abilities used within the do to strengthen offensive and
defensive efforts.]
The item was everything they had hoped for and more. As Broken read its description, he realized it exceeded expectations. The Astral Aegis of Unity had exceptional bonus stats: Health 50,000, Defense 500, Constitution 200, Stamina 200.
In addition, it ca with a powerful active skill: Do of Aetherial Unity. Freya examined the description carefully. "Judging by the details, you'll need to activate this at a high altitude, Broken, so the do can cover the entire capital city and its outskirts."
Broken nodded. "I can use Polly for that."
"But," Frostedge interjected, "if sothing happens to Polly, I might have an alternative. You can borrow my sword. It can float high enough, though the higher it goes, the slower it moves. Considering you just need to stay stationary to absorb the damage, it might work as a
backup."
"Thanks," Broken said sincerely.
They continued analyzing the item's capabilities.
"Combined Strength," Rember read aloud. "Damn, everyone inside the do can raise
their hands to share their resources with you? This reminds of sothing epic from
ani... haha!"
Forev kicked him in the shin. "Not the ti for jokes, idiot."
They moved on to the next skill: Resonance Amplification.
Freya explained, "This item will grant you a significant health boost, Broken. However, if the
damage surpasses even that, there's a chance you won't be able to endure it all. The third skill could make a difference, though. If others fly close to you and use their abilities-whether to heal you, fortify your defense, or provide other support-it will enhance the do's effect and improve your chances of survival."
Broken nodded thoughtfully. "Yes, that could work. Let's give it a shot."
The group exchanged determined looks, their gaze shifting toward the enormous magic circle in the distance. Part of the massive teor was already erging, its shadow casting an ominous pall over the battlefield. Ti was running out.
"The next question is..." Freya began, her tone asured. "Everyone on the battlefield won't be able to contribute fully if they're still occupied holding off and fighting the demons." Pussycat chid in, "But the demons will also be affected by the teor's impact. Can't they
just work with us to neutralize it?"
The group turned to PussyCat, her idea so unexpected that it montarily caught everyone's attention. It was unconventional but intriguing.
Freya, however, shook her head. "We can't gamble on that," she said firmly.
"Agreed," Frostedge added without hesitation.
Forev crossed her arms. "Then any ideas on how to kill a lot of demons in a short amount of
ti?"
