[Enchant Your Equipnt to 18]

[Rating: A]

[Fokil, the Master Blacksmith, wants you to prove your worth, Broken! He has challenged you to enchant your equipnt to 18. Don't let him down, or you'll end up with a dusty hamr and so seriously bad jokes!]

[Clear Conditions: Enchant any equipnt to 18.]

[Clear Rewards: The secret to enchanting your equipnt to an even higher realm.]

[Quest Failure: No punishnt for failure, but don't take too long-Fokil might get angry and cancel the quest.]

While NPCs and most players referred to it as Equipnt Upgrading, the players had started using a different term: Enchantnt. It was just a suggestion from their system, but the aning was the sa. However, since "upgrade" was easier to say, many players stuck with it, just like the NPCs.

Broken felt a surge of excitent as he read through the quest details. Whoa... the secret to upgrading equipnt to 27?

Before he could get too caught up in the mont, Fokil cut in with his usual stern tone. "Now, now, kid. Don't talk too much. Go get the materials you need and start working on that quest. I've got other things to do."

Broken glanced at Fokil. As always, he thought with a slight smirk. Every ti he visited, it seed like only a matter of seconds before Fokil found a reason to send him away.

But this was an A-rated quest, and the rewards were too good to pass up. He could hardly wait to get started. Turning to Ivana, he grinned. "Ivana, let's go. We've got a fun mission from Mr. Fokil!"

Ivana smiled and looked back at Fokil. "I'll co back later with so food for you, okay?"

"Take your ti, Ivana," Fokil replied gruffly.

Ivana nodded, acknowledging Fokil's words. Without hesitation, Broken grabbed her hand, and the two of them left the smithy.

"Mr. Fokil may not show it, but I'm sure he was delighted to see you," Ivana said once they had been outside the Smithy.

"Really? I've never seen him look cheerful or even crack a smile."

Ivana chuckled. "Aren't you the sa way?"

Broken paused, thinking over her words before offering a flat, awkward smile.

"I can still be friendly and smile-look, my smile's sweet."

Ivana giggled. "That's the best smile I've ever seen!"

"Thanks... But maybe you shouldn't be getting too close to Freya. You're starting to sound as sarcastic as she is."

Ivana laughed as the two continued making their way down the streets of Deadbay City, heading toward the central plaza.

"So, what do you need to do to fulfill Mr. Fokil's task?"

"Well," Broken began, "Equipnt Enchanting-or upgrading-is a way to boost the stats of gear. Most people only know about going up to 18, but Fokil hinted that it's possible to go even higher than that."

Ivana nodded thoughtfully. "I've heard a lot of players bragging about their weapons glowing with an aura after they've paid tons of money to enchant them," she said. "I'd bet most mbers of the Ass Guild have weapons with high enchantnts, right, Broken?"

"Most likely," Broken replied. "I'd guess most of them have 18 weapons at least."

His mind then turned to the blueprints he had access to.

[Enchanting Stone Blueprint]

[You can use this stone to enchant any kind of equipnt up to 9.]

[Requires a small quantity of Iron to forge.]

Broken had crafted these stones before, back in Slumdon Town, but his current stock was still there. He had only brought a few with him, aning he'd need to craft more to continue upgrading his gear.

[Blessed Stone Blueprint]

[You can use this stone to enchant any kind of equipnt up to 18.]

[Requires a small quantity of Iron and Steel to forge.]

He'd definitely need these as well for the higher-level upgrades.

"So, with these two items, I can upgrade my equipnt up to 18," Broken said softly. "It takes three Enchantnt Stones for each upgrade up to 3, six for 6, and nine stones to reach

9."

"Wow... that's a huge amount," Ivana replied, clearly impressed.

"And the sa goes for the Blessed Stone," Broken continued. "Three Blessed Stones per upgrade up to 12, six for 15, and nine to reach 18."

"No wonder they say the cost is so high," Ivana said. "It seems like only people with a lot of money can afford this."

"Yeah, this ga really feels like pay-to-win," Broken agreed. "The higher the upgrade, the lower the success rate. Sotis, the upgrade level even drops if it fails."

"Pay-to-win?" Ivana asked, tilting her head in confusion.

"That's when soone can spend a lot of money on the ga-or, well, in this world-to beco more powerful," Broken explained.

"So... does that an you're also very rich outside there?"

"Uh..." Broken paused for a mont, then chuckled awkwardly. "I don't think that applies to ... No, I'm an exception," he said, flashing a smile. "I'm just Broken, hehe."

Ivana smiled and asked, "So, are only blacksmiths able to enchant equipnt?"

Broken shook his head. "No, every player can enchant their gear. But only blacksmiths can forge the Enchantnt Stones. That's how they make money-they sell the stones."

He paused before continuing. "But here's the thing-so players believe a blacksmith has a better chance of success when enchanting. So, blacksmiths offer their services to do it for others. And, well... So scam players by lying about how many stones they use, or if the enchantnt fails, they refuse to take responsibility. Like I said, luck plays a huge role in this, and that's why a lot of people get frustrated and give up on upgrading their weapons."

"That's really sad for so players," Ivana said softly.

"You care about other people too much, huh?" Broken chuckled.

"So, does this an blacksmiths can get rich more easily here?"

"It depends," Broken replied. "Blacksmithing can be tedious. You're doing the sa repetitive actions over and over, and not everyone has the patience for that. Plus, they need to gather the materials, which isn't always easy. And with the risk of failure, they can lose money instead of making it. But if soone's skilled, any profession here can be profitable." "That sounds fun," Ivana answered. "But I see you can easily produce high-grade items."

"Do you really see it that way?"

Ivana smiled and nodded.

"Well," Broken continued, "you could make a lot of money with your cooking skills, Ivana."

"I never really thought about that. For , just sharing my food with others is enough to make happy," Ivana replied, biting her lip thoughtfully. "But do you think I need to start

saving up a lot of money too, Broken?"

"I think everyone has their own reasons to be content. But yeah, you'll need money eventually. Don't worry, though-I'll share the loot from our hunts with you, or at least give

you so of the money, so you can buy whatever you need."

Ivana hesitated for a mont. "No, you should take everything."

"Alright, then I'll just buy you whatever you might need. How about that?"

"That sounds nice..." Ivana giggled softly.

"Co on," Broken said, grabbing Ivana's wrist and gently tugging her along. "I want to get

this quest over with quickly."

Just then, a notification popped up in front of him.
