For a greatsword, Abyssbreaker had an impressively high attack power. But that was typical of most greatswords—high attack stats balanced by their weight and slower speed compared to swords or daggers. Just for comparison, the Gravestone Greatsword boasted an attack power of 1370~1587 at Unique-grade. But Abyssbreaker was Legendary-grade, so its numbers scaled even higher.
In addition to its raw power, the greatsword granted Strength 120, Agility 40, and a staggering 40% Shadow Elental Damage boost. Damn. The highlight stat was clearly its insane shadow damage potential. No wonder the lizard demon had been so proud of this sword-it was a true masterpiece.
However, the durability was a bit of a drawback, sitting at just 69. Broken would definitely need to repair it, and possibly even upgrade it. If the stats scaled with the upgrade- especially the shadow damage-it could beco even more devastating.
Just imagining the potential boost was exciting. If he could upgrade the greatsword to 15, the Shadow Elental Damage could rise to 58%, and that was no small number-it could be ga-changing.
The thought alone made him eager. This could be sothing truly extraordinary.
[Abyssal Step (Conditional Passive)
Effect: When the wielder is hit by crowd control, stun, or movent-restricting debuffs, they automatically phase into the shadows, teleporting up to 10 ters (32.8 ft) away and removing all debuffs. The next attack within 5 seconds deals 200% bonus Shadow damage. Cooldown: 30 seconds]
Abyssal Step was a skill the lizard demon had used repeatedly during their fight, vanishing into shadows and reappearing elsewhere every ti Broken managed to restrict his movents. Now, that very skill was in his hands, and the best part? It was passive.
This was a ga-changer, especially for soone wielding a greatsword. The usual downside of a greatsword user was their lack of mobility-being relatively slow, even though their attacks packed a punch. But with Abyssal Step, Broken could easily escape crowd control and counterattack with devastating force.
The ability to escape debuffs and follow up with a devastating counterattack made it a nightmare for opponents, especially support roles who would suddenly find themselves within range of his lethal strikes.
This skill is practically broken for a greatsword user.
It allowed him to dodge, reposition, and retaliate-all while maintaining his incredible damage output. If anything, Abyssal Step should've been banned for greatsword users because of its sheer, terrifying potential.
[Abyssal Rift (Active)
Effect: Tear open a rift in the shadows that pulls all enemies within a 12-ter (39.36 ft) radius toward the center, dealing 250% attack power as Shadow damage. Enemies caught in the rift are stunned for 2 seconds.
Mana Cost: 400 mana
Cooldown: 25 seconds]
The next skill, Abyssal Rift, was just as extraordinary. It wasn't only the massive crowd control effect, pulling in anyone within a 12-ter (39-foot) range and applying a 2-second stun-it was the cooldown. Only 25 seconds!
Damn!
And on top of that, it only used 400 Mana, making it a ridiculously efficient crowd control skill.
Broken had only read two skills from this greatsword, but he was already struggling to contain his excitent, realizing just how powerful this weapon truly was. Abyssal Rift made it clear that this greatsword was built for large-scale battles, perfect for taking on multiple enemies at once.
Even though the crowd control could technically be dodged since the pull effect gave opponents a chance to avoid getting sucked into the center-anyone caught off-guard would be trapped, stunned, and wide open to a devastating follow-up attack.
It was a brutal tool of destruction, and he knew it.
[Shadow Obliteration (Active)
Effect: Charge for 2 seconds and unleash a devastating strike that deals 900% of your attack power as Shadow damage in a 20-ter (65.6 ft) cone. This attack pierces through all enemies, ignoring 25% of their defenses. If this skill kills an enemy, it restores 10% of the wielder's maximum health.
Mana Cost: 600 mana
Cooldown: 45 seconds]
The massive crowd control skill is perfectly followed up by the third skill: Shadow Obliteration. This combination of skills is nothing short of extraordinary.
After Abyssal Rift stuns all nearby enemies for 2 seconds, Shadow Obliteration requires a 2- second charge. But once unleashed, the damage is enormous-900% of physical attack power as shadow damage!
That might seem like a small percentage at first, but not when you're wielding a greatsword with such high base attack power.
On top of that, Shadow Obliteration ignores 25% of the enemy's defense, giving a significant boost to the final damage output. And to make it even better, it also includes a lifesteal effect! What's even more surprising is that the mana cost is relatively low at just 600, especially compared to the skills from his other Legendary-grade weapons. For a greatsword user, who typically doesn't invest heavily in Intelligence, this mana cost is quite reasonable.
This skill set is insane!
The combination of crowd control, massive damage, defense penetration, and lifesteal made this weapon a terrifying force in any battle.
[Abyssal Hunger (Passive)
Effect: Each ti you deal shadow damage, you gain a stack of Abyssal Hunger (up to 5 stacks). Each stack increases your attack power by 5% and heals you for 2% of the Shadow damage dealt. The effect lasts for 10 seconds.]
And then there was the fourth and final skill: Abyssal Hunger. Luckily, it was a passive skill, aning Broken only had to focus on the two active skills of the greatsword.
Hah, not bad at all, he thought, feeling relieved.
Abyssal Hunger simply boosted attack power and lifesteal whenever the greatsword was used.
A greatsword user with lifesteal? That was terrifying enough on its own. But combined with the consistency of this skill and paired with Invincible Paragon-which provided imnse defense and protection-Broken could charge straight into battle without worrying about getting overwheld or struggling to maintain his health.
This greatsword really is broken, isn't it? he mused.
The combination of escape chanisms, crowd control, imnse damage, defense- penetrating skills, and lifesteal made this greatsword a ga-changer. It wasn't just a weapon; it was a tool capable of turning the tide of any battle, empowering Broken to push forward without hesitation and dominate the battlefield.
He stood up, gripping the greatsword and glancing at his reflection in the mirror. He couldn't
help but admire the weapon, itching to test it in battle. His mind wandered to one of Elincia's reports about nearby villages, so of which occasionally faced attacks from monsters or other disturbances.
He opened the report and found the village closest to Slumdon.
I've got ti, he thought. Why not take a little trip with Blaze, Pawpaw, and my new gear?
The journey would take about 30 to 40 minutes at a relaxed pace-just enough ti to clear his head and maybe find sothing interesting.
"Pawpaw... want to go for a little adventure and find so fun?" He muttered, channeling his voice to the demon beast.
