Another day dawned in Slumdon Town, specifically at The House of Slumdon. Broken made it a point to check on the city's developnt progress from his study. Everything appeared to be thriving remarkably well, with everyone diligently fulfilling their respective responsibilities. He sotis wondered whether leading the city was genuinely this smooth, or if it was happening because everyone involved were professionals in their fields. At tis, he felt as if he was just fortunate to have acquired the ownership of Slumdon Town, while everyone else worked collaboratively to develop it.
Things were unquestionably easier because Freya devoted an imnse amount of her ti to managing everything. Her level hadn't increased significantly in the past few weeks, remaining at 137, whereas Booba had surged to level 175, leveling up at an impressive pace. While the city's construction and facilities were progressing excellently, there was one area where Broken felt more effort was needed: the developnt of the army, particularly the knights and the regular troops. Consequently, he planned to conduct another selection and recruitnt that day, perhaps aiming to complete his knight contingent to around 30. Was that too ambitious?
From his discussions with Maylock, Maylock envisioned a future where Slumdon was so well- developed it could handle any conceivable war. According to him, they might eventually need to build a force of 1,000 knights. Broken was truly astonished by the scope of such a visionary and long-term plan.
Are they really certain that Slumdon Town would need that many knights?
Maylock's vision seed to imply that Broken should either take over the kingdom or wage war against neighboring cities.
For comparison, the Dissidia Kingdom boasted two Imperial Knights whose strength was almost on par with that of the king. These knights were formidable figures, capable of stepping in to command the entire army during tis of great war or whenever imnse power was required.
Additionally, there were 5 Knight Grand Crosses, two of whom served as Princess Alora's personal guards. The exact composition of knights below that rank was uncertain, but it was likely that the Dissidia Kingdom had a total of around 10,000 knights overall.
Besides specialized knights, the kingdom had a more general type of army too: infantry, archers, cavalry, siege engineers, naval forces, and so on. The differences between knights and regular military forces lay mostly in their social status, the type of training they received, and their responsibilities. Of course, having more knights would also significantly increase a kingdom's operational costs.
Broken contemplated the challenge ahead: reaching 1,000 knights and figuring out how many regular troops he'd need to build as well. It was clear that this task would take considerable ti. He would have to build everything gradually.
Every resource and investnt he made in anything under his control would eventually bear fruit. For now, his focus was on developing his main knights like Igor and the other five, while also searching for more potential knights and the regular troops he might need.
A knock on the door pulled Broken from his thoughts. "Yes, co in, Yara," he said.
The door opened, revealing Yara with her shoulder-length orange hair, her maid dress, and a cheerful expression. She closed the door behind her and bowed to Broken.
"My Lord, good morning. I've already completed all the household chores since early this morning. I'm ready to take on any other tasks you have for . Anything at all," Yara said eagerly. "Uh... because the house's automation system is running at full efficiency now, there isn't much work left. That's... um..." she continued, her voice starting to tremble slightly with a hint of panic.
"My Lord, should I uhm... help the builders with the house construction? Or, do you need to perform another rain summoning ritual?" she asked, visibly anxious.
Broken chuckled softly. "Are you worried I'll fire you because you don't have enough work?" he asked.
"My Lord... I wouldn't mind if you reduced my salary," she responded.
"Co," Broken said, gesturing to the chair across from his desk. "I want to talk with you."
"Oh," she said, clearly surprised. She hurried over but hesitated to sit. "My Lord, I'll just stand."
"Okay," he said.
After a few monts, once Yara had started to calm down, Broken continued.
"So, Yara, I've decided to bring in soone else to help you with the work around the house," he began.
Yara's eyes widened in surprise.
"That's not because I'm dissatisfied with your work. No, you've been doing an excellent job, and I appreciate it," he said, reassuringly.
A smile ford on Yara's face. "Thank you, My Lord."
"So," Broken continued, "from my observation, you have a talent for singing as well as for Spell Mastery."

"I want to know if you're interested in spending about a third of your ti learning magic with Damir and the other knights," he suggested.
Yara looked puzzled by his words. "Magic? Uhm..."
"Yes, magic. I'm simply asking if you're interested, because you have a knack for it. Coupled with your singing skills, who knows? You might develop a unique skill or class. What do you think?"
"I..." Yara hesitated. "I have a dream of becoming a knight, to fight monsters and defend this town. Do you think that's possible, My Lord?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.
"If you're willing and dedicated, I will give you the opportunity to learn magic. I'm not asking you to beco a knight, but there's no harm in developing a skill that could be useful for
you."
"I will try, My Lord. I will," she responded, her confidence growing.
"Good. You can step away at any ti if you feel it's not working out."
"No," Yara said firmly. "I won't waste the trust you've placed in , My Lord," she added.
"Good, now follow to et with Ella."
Yara nodded and followed Broken out of the room.
Ella, a tailor whom Broken had recruited during the initial round of hiring, awaited them. She possessed three talents, each rated A: Textile Artisan (A), Fabric Enchanter (A), and Precise Cutter (A). These skills were exceptionally well-suited to her profession, making her
indispensable.
Broken's need was for crafting a new set of Ranger Armor-sothing beyond the capabilities of any blacksmith working alone. That's why he needed soone with the expertise of an Advanced Rank tailor smith. And that soone was Ella, the person he
required.
In Immortal Legacy, there are three types of armor or clothing used by adventurers: Heavy Armor, Light Armor, and Robes. Each type requires different production skills to create. Heavy Armor relies entirely on a blacksmith's craftsmanship, Robes can be crafted by a tailor, while Light Armor requires the contributions of both.
Heavy Armor focuses on defense and is predominantly composed of tal. It is ideal for swordsn or heavy lee fighters who prioritize Strength and Constitution stats.
Light Armor, a combination of tal and fabric, is suitable for fighters who rely on Agility stats, such as assassins or archers. These fighters emphasize speed and a balanced damage
output.
Robes, on the other hand, are best suited for adventurers who don't need much defense but rely heavily on magic, such as mages. This type of clothing typically benefits more from magical shields for protection, thus minimizing the need for Constitution stats.
For this reason, Broken needed Ella, the best tailor he could find in Slumdon Town, to work with him in crafting the finest Ranger Suit.
