It was nightti in Slumdon Town. Broken walked beside Freya, heading towards the city gate. As they got closer, they spotted two figures-Igor and Anna-standing guard at the entrance. The second Broken drew near, both guards straightened up and saluted sharply.

"Good evening, My Lord," Igor greeted.

"All quiet tonight?"

"Yes, My Lord, all clear," Anna responded.

"Is there anything important we need to do, My Lord?" Igor asked.

"No, just make sure you get enough rest. For now, while waiting for the other knights to be ready to help with your duties," Broken instructed.

Polly appeared, and Broken and Freya quickly mounted her, disappearing into the darkness of the night.

Anna, still watching Broken as he receded into the distance, looked curious.

"Focus on your work, Anna."

Anna giggled. "Lord Broken is really sothing else, isn't he? Admired by so many beautiful won."

"That's none of our business, Anna. Soone like Lord Broken deserves all the attention he gets. He is kind and talented. Even Her Highness, Princess Alora, acknowledges him and has invited him to join in the demon extermination. That's sothing to be proud of," Igor explained firmly.

"I still hope to have a chance to hunt alongside Lord Broken. I want to see how he is on the battlefield," she said, laughing softly.

Freya, seated behind Broken, began discussing their plans for the night as they rode along. Broken patted Polly, and the fox ca to a halt in an open sandy clearing. Thanks to the bright moonlight, their visibility wasn't too bad. Both of them dismounted from Polly, and Broken placed several crystal lamps on the sand.

"But why are we so far from the city, Broken?" Freya asked, breaking the silence.

"No particular reason," Broken explained. "I just want to construct the golem without drawing too much attention. So I thought this would be the best place for it. Once it's done, I can easily move the golem near the city gate."

"This isn't just an excuse to be alone with , is it?" she teased, laughing softly.

"Uhm..." Broken turned to Freya, a slight smile on his face. "Maybe it is, unconsciously. I've missed you. I've been so busy lately."

"You an you've been going on a lot of dates?!"

Broken chuckled and then drew out an item he had obtained from a dungeon expedition with Elincia a few weeks ago.

[Golem Vessel Registration Ticket: This ticket authorizes the bearer to summon a Golem Body and register themselves as its official owner and controller. Note that the ticket does not include a Golem Core, which must be acquired separately.]

"You've brought the materials I ntioned before, right?" Freya asked, looking at Broken. "Yes, I've got plenty—platinum, iron, orichalcum, moonstones, monster cores, golem core, and more," Broken replied. "But is all that really necessary, Freya? I thought this ticket would just give a golem body ready to use, and all I need to do is install a golem core into it?" "That's the trick," Freya responded with a smile. "You can actually modify the golem you summon using the extra materials you have. Since this is like a gacha ticket, you might end up with sothing extraordinary if you're lucky enough," she explained enthusiastically. "Okay, so where do we start?"

"Do you want to explain a few things about golems first?"

"Yes, I want to know more about golems."

Freya started explaining, going into how golems are evaluated in two ways: by their Tier and Grade. She ntioned that the Grade system is the sa as for other items-Common, Rare, Elite, and so forth. But golems also have Tiers, which range from Tier 1 to Tier 5.

"The difference in Tiers is quite straightforward," Freya continued. "It limits the golem's capabilities. For instance, a Tier 1 golem will have functional eyes, enabling it to detect and see its targets."

Broken nodded thoughtfully as Freya continued her explanation.

"Tier 2 golems have a specific offensive weapon," she elaborated. "This can vary depending on the golem's form. Humanoid golems typically have weapons similar to adventurers- swords, bows, etc. Other golem types have a wider range of weaponry, too."

"So, Tier 1 golems don't have weapons? How do they fight?"

"They use whatever is part of their form-fists, bodies, whatever works," Freya explained.

She went on. "Tier 3 golems have better armor or protective components."

"Okay,"

"Next, Tier 4 golems can fix themselves if they get damaged. They don't need help from their creator," Freya explained.

Broken nodded slowly, taking it all in. "So, Tier 4 golems can run completely on their own and can survive with all their abilities intact?"

"Yes," Freya confird. "That's why the higher the Tier, the more valuable and expensive the golem."

She went on. "Tier 5 golems co with unique tools, like wings, multiple arms, or other special features depending on their design."

"Interesting," Broken mused, nodding. "Golems can even fly?"

Freya smiled. "You'd be even more surprised if you knew everything about golems."

"So, to sum up everything.

"Tier 1: Eyes.

"Tier 2: Eyes, plus an offensive weapon.

"Tier 3: Everything above, plus defensive armor.

"Tier 4: Everything above, plus regeneration.

"Tier 5: Everything above, plus a utility tool."

"Okay." Broken continued, "what's the influence between a golem's Tier and its Grade?"

"The higher the Grade, the better the golem's stats and skills, much like weapons forged by blacksmiths," she explained. "So, the higher the Grade and Tier of a golem, the more valuable

it is."

"But can golem creators sell their golems to others? Can they create unlimited golems?"

"No," Freya replied. "Golem creators can only create and control a limited number of functioning golems. When they sell a golem to soone else, they're giving up one of their slots. That's why they can't trade golems as freely as other production classes. It's often more beneficial for them to use the golems they construct for themselves."

Broken nodded in understanding. "That makes sense. It keeps the process balanced."

Freya smiled. "Exactly. There's so much more I want to tell you about golems, but let's discuss it gradually as you complete the process."

"Yes, Ma'am."

"Now, let's get started on that golem."

Broken imdiately tore the ticket, and a notification appeared before him.

[Activating Golem Vessel Registration Ticket. The ticket will summon the default golem body prepared for you. Would you like to proceed? If you select 'No,' you will need to provide your own materials to construct the new golem body.]

[No/Yes]

"There's a confirmation choice: No or Yes," Broken muttered.

Freya paused for a mont, thinking.

"No, correct?" he prompted.

Freya remained silent for a mont, then spoke. "Actually, there's another consideration if you choose 'No,' Broken. We don't know how much material might be needed. You could end

up using all the platinum bars you have to construct the golem."

"Well, as long as the result is satisfying, why not?"

Freya nodded slowly. "So, the consequence is you might spend a lot of materials, but you have a chance at getting a better golem. But again, it all cos down to luck." "You said I have so much luck that it's almost drowning , right?" Broken joked.

Freya laughed softly at his words. "I don't know, but please think it over. I'm sure the materials you're using could be used to craft a new item. And I don't want to take the bla if the results are disappointing."

"No worries, I'll take all the risks," he assured her. "And honestly, I won't be satisfied just getting the default form of the golem."

"You're so greedy! You should really reconsider your blessings," Freya chided playfully.

Broken pressed the 'No' button, determined to make this golem sothing truly

extraordinary.
