With beads of water still dripping from his shower, Leon stepped out of the bathroom, wearing shorts and a white t-shirt. His blonde hair stuck up in different directions, giving him a ssy look that contrasted with his fresh, clean state.
As he shuffled listlessly towards the sofa in the living room, sothing caught his eye-the bright light emitting from his cell phone perched on the glass table in the middle of the room. The notification on the screen scread for his attention: 'You have received a transfer of 250,000 USD. Please confirm the receipt.'
"What is that?" his tired eyes widened in disbelief. Could this be so kind of prank? Or perhaps an elaborate scam? He squinted at the screen, trying to understand the unexpected ssage.
Leon opened his bank account. His eyes grew even wider in shock. Instead of the usual balance, an additional 250,000 USD had indeed been credited to his account.
"Could this have been a mistake?" he muttered to himself.
Just then, the doorbell rang. He knew exactly who it was. He hurried to the door and opened it, welcoming Freya into his room.
Freya stood tall, dressed in an executive suit and a short skirt that showcased her slender legs perfectly. Her beautiful smile graced her lips as she slowly sauntered toward him.
"Hi, Leon," she greeted softly.
"Hi..." he said, his mind still preoccupied with the money deposited into his bank account. Freya then took the towel draped over his shoulder and began to dry his damp hair. He stood still as she did this. She smiled and then placed the towel in the laundry basket.
She walked over to the sofa where Leon had been seated, leaped onto it, and leaned back with an air of ease.
"Have you received the money?" she asked.
"Is that you? But what is this money for?" Leon inquired.
Freya let out a deep, throaty laugh that made her smile even wider. "I just sued TV station VRWN for airing the Monster Raid involving you and The Ass Guild without your permission," she declared proudly.
Leon was stunned. His eyes widened as he processed her words. "What? I can really get this much money just for sothing like that?"
Freya chuckled again. "Are you surprised? It's part of the allure and power associated with the top guilds in Immortal Legacy. Besides, most of their mbers are famous and influential people, you know?"
Leon shook his head. "No, I didn't know that."
Freya continued to chuckle, reaching for the TV remote. She switched the channel to Netflix and quickly found a Korean drama, setting it to play on the television. The sound of dramatic music filled the room, yet Leon's thoughts were elsewhere.
"See the actress there?" she said, pointing to the screen.
"What? Why?" he asked.
Freya chuckled softly and shook her head. "Do you recognize her? The female lead of this drama?"
Leon shook his head, trying to recall any familiar features, but he ca up empty. He watched intently, hoping that sothing would click.
Freya smiled knowingly and nudged him gently with her shoulder.
"She is Heejin," she said slowly, allowing Leon ti to process the na. "Rember her face now?"
His eyes widened as he focused intently on the actress's face. He shook his head in disbelief, murmuring, "All these actresses look so similar to ."
Freya let out another chuckle. "She is Starfall-the one who assists you in the Raid Battle. She's an A-list actress and part of The Ass Guild."
"Woah...wow!"
"She was the one with the Rare-grade Class, Elental Beauty. As you likely rember, many of the mbers in the guild are Asian," Freya added.
After taking a closer look, recognition finally dawned on him. He now understood that the actress on the screen was indeed Starfall from the ga. "I see. They do have a strong resemblance."
"So, what are your plans for all the money you've saved up so far?" she continued.
Leon paused, montarily scratching his head in thought. "Well... I think I'll buy things I've always wanted but couldn't afford before. And maybe do sothing nice for Lily and Uncle, too."
"But have you thought about getting a new car? It would be pretty cool to show it off to your friends at university," she suggested.
Leon laughed softly at her suggestion. "I might consider getting a new car," he said, pausing to choose his words carefully, "but not to impress anyone. If it happens to impress people, I guess that's fine. But right now, Alfred drives everywhere, and I rarely use my own car. Do I really need another one?"
"Whatever you decide to do... just make sure to use the money wisely," she said, chuckling. "I'd be happy to play tour guide if you need help spending it—especially if you plan to share so with !"
Leon turned to Freya imdiately. "That's it, Freya..."
"Huh?"
"You've helped so much already. Tell what you want, and I'll get you sothing," he offered.
Freya fell silent for a mont, then chuckled softly. She playfully tapped Leon's nose with her finger. "Think about yourself first... I have more money than you do, you know," she said.
They then continued their conversation for a short while, discussing his struggles in the ga and admiring the Korean drama on the screen.
"Isn't she absolutely stunning, Leon?" she asked, gesturing towards the female lead on the
screen.
"Yes, indeed. Otherwise, she wouldn't have made it as an actress, right?" Leon replied.
"A lot of players are willing to go to great lengths just to receive Starfall's support skills," she went on. "And she has such a massive fan base. You're really fortunate to have her support skills backing you up in battle."
"I suppose it's all a part of good teamwork?" he said slowly, his attention still riveted on the
screen.
A few minutes later, Leon suddenly leaned his shoulder against Freya's. Before she could even utter a word, he had already drifted off into a deep sleep.
Freya glanced at his exhausted face and couldn't help but smile gently, reflecting on how hard Leon worked day in and day out. She lightly touched his cheek and whispered softly, "Oh dear, the Goddess Akidia's spoiled baby is all tuckered out."
Not wanting him to sleep uncomfortably, she carefully maneuvered his head to rest on the couch, arranging so cushions to provide extra comfort for his tired body. She then draped a blanket over him, ensuring he was warm enough.
Freya knelt beside Leon, observing his firm and peaceful face even in slumber. "He really is a hard worker," she murmured to herself.
Just then, the door to Lily's room opened, and she stepped into the living room. Her eyes widened in surprise as she saw Freya close to Leon, seemingly about to kiss him.
"Oh, sorry... I didn't an to interrupt... Please, continue to kiss him, don't mind ," Lily stamred as she tried to flee the scene.
"Lily!" Freya called after her, quickly standing up and rushing over. "What are you thinking? You don't actually believe I was going to kiss Leon, do you?"
"No, of course not..." Lily giggled.
Freya laughed softly and shook her head. "No, it's not what you're thinking. I was just
admiring how dedicated he is to his work."
"I really wouldn't mind if you did, though," Lily added with a mischievous grin.
