Ever since Draven had told Kael that he needed to beco a God to defeat Apocalypse, he had beco much more interested in them.
It was especially because they would beco his opponents in the future for sure, since they stood in his way. He wanted to be as much prepared as possible.
Sadly, there was little to no information about Gods in the mories he received from Mike, as Mike wasn't interested in history.
But Kael needed to research the history of the world. After all, there had been a total of four Epochs and the Fifth was ongoing, with 2023 years in.
Yet, he didn't know anything about the past Four Epochs—heck, he didn't even know much about the current Epoch.
All he knew was that there was a world-shattering war at the end of the Fourth Epoch, which resulted in utter destruction of the world.
From that war, the orthodox Gods erged and took the intelligent races under their protection for guidance, while the Evil Gods began to corrupt people to join their side.
It was also in this war that the Beast God apparently died at the hands of the Dawnfire Goddess, leaving the Beasts in their current state.
More than two thousand years had passed since then, and Kael was sure a lot of things happened in between, but they were either kept secret or Mike just didn't know about them.
'I need to research the history of this world.'
The main reason for doing this was because he had no clue how to achieve Godhood, and he was sure Draven wouldn't tell him.
So, the only way he could get to know about Godhood was by learning more about the Gods themselves, and since they weren't active in the Fifth Epoch, he needed to study the previous Epochs.
'I shouldn't neglect this Epoch though. There are lots of things that are important, including those Secret Organisations that erged after the war. So of them are probably even older, reaching back to the previous Epochs.'
He then thought of sothing else, 'The Labyrinths also date before the Fourth Epoch or even older. They might hide more secrets than I expected.'
He got this notion after rembering that the Hellaric Labyrinth had Draven sealed within it. If even a being like that could be sealed inside a Labyrinth, they were bound to contain many mysteries.
'I will also need to be careful of the Churches and other cults. Not to ntion other Beast races.'
He felt a headache just by thinking about how many things he had to do to achieve his goals. However, he wasn't giving up, no matter what the obstacle was.
Kael shook his head and ignored those thoughts for now and asked, 'What about Runes?'
[Runes are also a way to communicate with the Astral World. For example, the Rune on Kiona's leather armor takes mana from the Astral World to work. You can understand Runes as a language used as a dium.]
'I see. But I don't know anything about Runes, then how co I was able to make that leather armor? It feels weird.'
[I don't know how to explain that, as I'm also confused. All I can tell you is that it takes the information from the Astral World through the individual Draven's blessings. The Skill [Soul Forge] has so information carved into your soul, which probably includes the knowledge of Runes.]
Kael's eyes brightened up hearing that as he said, 'Then, doesn't that an if I study my soul, I can also get the knowledge of Runes?'
[Theoretically, it's possible, but as you know, the study of the soul is a very dangerous thod. I suggest you find another way of studying Runes if you are so interested in it.]
'Oh, I will. I think Runes can be used to use skills,' Kael smiled in delight. 'Runes are basically a language, and language can be used to write information, sothing a skill needs. Runes can also be used as a dium, so all of that makes perfect sense.'
[That does sound logical, but it's infinitely hard as you will need to not only learn the deep mysteries of the Runes but also the vast and intricate information of the skills.]
'I'll have a plethora of skills to study from, so that's not an issue. Also, I have you on my side, so you can do the most calculating stuff.'
[This can actually work, Master.]
'Yup, and as for the matter of studying the soul for Runes, I have an alternative for it,' Kael smiled as he turned to look at Kiona, who was sleeping soundly in his embrace.
His gaze went to the tunic she was wearing, as he rembered the runes he had seen on it.
[Yes! You can use this thod to study Runes, and with my help, it'll be much easier for to analyze them. The more Artifacts you have, the better. And that problem will easily be solved through your Soul Forge skill.]
This was his plan to understand Runes and beco independent. He liked skills, but he didn't like being restricted, so it didn't suit him well.
Sure, he would have many skills if he succeeded in making his Beast Kingdom, but it would still be limited to the skills his subordinates had.
What if he wanted to make a brand-new skill for sothing? He had the [Great Sage], and not using it for these purposes was just a great waste.
His plan was pretty simple. He would create many types of Artifacts using the skills he would get from taming Beasts, and through that, Alpha could analyze the different types of Runes.
Normally, a person would have a hard ti processing all of that, but Alpha was different.
'By the way, if Runes are basically a knowledge that helps us communicate with the Astral World, then there might be so languages that can be used to affect nature and all, no?'
[It is possible, but I have no knowledge of it as of now. Also, Master, I have more knowledge that I need to process, so I will take so ti.]
'Take your ti. This was a little too much for too, so I need so ti to process it,' he closed his eyes and muttered, "Good night!"
The lady beside him snuggled closely to him and also sucked his thumb in her sleep.
