Town of Laplace

While moving forward, Xavier’s eyes landed on the old sign hanging above the main entrance. A frown slowly appeared on his face.

If he were to believe his mories from the last ti he was sent to prison, he had ca across this place...this town of Laplace had not been this deserted. It had been full of life.

And now...He could not spot a single human, there were elves everywhere.

Thinking up to this point, Xavier couldn’t help but examine his surroundings again. Neatly clean and wide streets, luxurious villas made from every expensive material one could think of, luxurious cars parked neatly in the driveways. Xavier even spotted a pearl-white Aventador, his dream car.

The elven soldiers still had looks of disdain and hostility in their eyes. Even though Lirin had explained about Xavier’s origins and how he had saved the two of them, the suspicion remained.

Maybe partially because he was human or so part because of that Bane of humanity talent effect.

"Are we really allowing this human inside our village?"

"He gives a very weird feeling, as if he is one of those monsters roaming outside."

A slightly mature-looking elf heard their discussion and scolded them in a harsh tone.

"Silence. These humans are the honored guests of Princess Evelyn."

The mature male elf who had spoken was Commander Brutus. His words carried weight. Not only was he the head of the army, but it was quite clear that Princess Evelyn and Commander Brutus had a close relationship.

Just one word from him could make their lives miserable.

"These bunch of ignorant idiots..."

Commander Brutus coldly snorted and shifted his focus back to Xavier. His expression turning dark. For a brief mont, a look of hostility flashed across his face but he quickly suppressed it, maintaining a stern appearance outside.

...

Led by an innocent-looking green-haired female elf, Xavier’s group arrived in front of a luxurious two-storied villa. This was where they were going to spend the night.

Although Xavier was in a rush to contact his little sister, Evelyn had said the thod only worked during dayti. After hearing that, he couldn’t say anything further.

While he was thinking, the green-haired elf smiled and began speaking.

"Honored guests, you can treat this strange-looking palace as your ho. Although not as traditional as elven hos, it is surprisingly practical."

While speaking, the green-haired elf Maya had a look of admiration in her eyes. Although houses built from natural materials like wood were perfect, Maya had to admit that houses built by humans were very practical, especially that so-called shower. It was a thousand tis better than bathing in the open. Not only she could avoid the eyes of perverted elves, she could even adjust the speed of the water coming out of the nozzle...and so naughty things.

"..."

Thinking about it, her face suddenly turned red like a tomato. She quickly shook her head to get rid of those pointless thoughts.

Turning to Xavier, she hurriedly bowed and left.

"Honored guests, please enjoy your stay while I take my leave."

Watching the young and innocent elf walk away, Xavier’s shoulders slumped, and he slowly made his way inside the house.

Millie and Jackie didn’t wait for formalities. They were already inside.

Xavier sighed and looked at his completely torn clothes and blood-covered appearance. He absolutely looked like an uncivilized barbarian who hadn’t bathed for years.

"You know what? Forget everything else. Let’s take a bath first."

...

Although the villa was a two-story grand building with three king-sized bedrooms, there was only a single bathroom for so reason.

In such a big and expensive property, only one shower unit existed. This was beyond Xavier’s understanding.

"Let’s not think about these pointless things."

Xavier sighed and made his way toward the bathroom on the second floor after finding a pair of brand-new clothes: a white T-shirt and white joggers.

Maybe the house had rooftop solar or so other arrangent. While the streets were covered in darkness, the entire villa was brightly lit.

"Whoever was the owner of this house must be bat-shit crazy rich..."

Xavier comnted while glancing at the luxurious red carpet below his feet. He felt as if he were walking on feathers.

The feeling was so soft and relaxing that he could feel the tension leaving his body in real ti.

...

Pitter! Pitter!

The sound of water droplets hitting the solid floor ca from behind the firmly locked door.

Xavier’s eyes flashed with understanding. It seed the girls had been faster than him. It was understandable, given how much girls liked to shower.

Just as he was thinking this, the door suddenly opened.

A figure walked out.

Jackie’s long black hair was completely soaked, clinging to her skin. Now free from all the dirt and gri, her skin shone milky white. Compared to Millie, who was small and petite, Jackie had a mature figure with the right amount of curves in the right places.

The sight of her body wrapped in a white towel caught Xavier by surprise. It would be a straight-up lie to say he wasn’t attracted to her at that mont.

Not just him. Even Jackie was surprised to see Xavier. The fact that Xavier was almost completely naked, ignoring the small piece of undergarnt covering his dignity, didn’t make the situation any less awkward.

Xavier took a deep breath and acted as if he hadn’t noticed her at all. He simply walked inside, treating her like nothing but air.

Of course, Xavier wasn’t purposely acting like this. It was an instinctive reaction developed since childhood. As a kid, he didn’t want other girls to think he was staring at them inappropriately.

Moreover, as soone with a little sister, he had heard her complain many tis about n staring at her with weird gazes. Because of this, he had even gotten into fights several tis.

In fact, the main reason for his fight with the Morgan family was exactly this.
