Grey inford everyone that Elias had relied on an external weapon to take the first rank, while others had relied on their own abilities.

It felt truly unfair, since Elias hadn't relied on his own talents. Moreover, a weapon that could kill a Professor could only co from the Ashborn Family. This ant he had relied on his family's wealth to take the top rank.

Rey was the most frustrated, since the first ranking would have belonged to him if Elias hadn't cheated. This ant the reward for first rank also belonged to him, not Elias.

There was no way he was going to let that Growth Stone go to waste on an Auxiliary when he could have used it for his first evolution.

"You are still as shaless as ever, aren't you?" The Painter frowned, watching the children leave for the Land of Fables.

"What do you an? I was just reminding him so he could protect himself better. Wouldn't it be worse if he didn't know that external weapons were useless in the Land of Fables? Imagine him trying to rely on them, only to end up dead as his treasure failed him?"

Professor Grey was still as carefree as ever, as if he had done nothing wrong. In any case, he didn't believe that Elias was actually going to die from this.

He was certain that Elias was still hiding many secrets. Even if he looked like an innocent child, he was truly a dangerous being from inside. If that wasn't the case, he wouldn't have targeted a professor.

Even if it was part of the test, it still left a sour taste in his mouth. Was it truly sothing he did for the test? Or was there more that was hiding within the surface?

He wanted Elias to unravel himself, exposing all the secrets that he was hiding, including all his tricks. And if he died in the land of fables, then it was just his luck. It was simply going to an that he had overestimated that child.

"Don't think I would forget the matter at hand. You shouldn't have known that secret," The Painter said, as he moved his brush in the air. Even without the canvas, he was able to paint. It was as if the reality itself was his paint.

"Co on? Is it really that big of a secret? Aren't you a little too embarrassed about it? It was just a little rejection." Grey jumped back, creating so distance.

"You! You really knew about it!" The Painter's face turned red. It was unclear if it was because of anger, or embarrassnt.

"Aww, is your broken heart hurting?" Grey laughed, not even trying to be careful about his words. "But you can't bla her. If you go around like an old man, who is going to like you? You should've shown her your true form."

"I will kill you!" The Painter roared, turning his surroundings itself into a painting, in which Grey was trapped, along with him.

"Are you sure you can, old man?" Grey raised his hand, forming an aura blade that rose from his hands. He sliced through the reality itself, cutting the law of paintings with brute force.

The Painter wasn't surprised either, as if he had been expecting it. However, it was just the beginning for him.

"Today, I will create a true masterpiece!" he exclaid. "I will call it, 'Grey's Downfall', and hang it in the corridors for everyone to see!"

As he spoke, his white hair started turning darker. The wrinkles on his face also started disappearing, as if a disguise was being removed.

....

Elias was being chased by the others, as he rushed for the North. Only a few minutes had passed, when he was able to hear the sound of explosions coming from behind him.

The earth itself was vibrating with each explosive sound, as if the two professors had already started fighting.

"Stop running like a coward!" Rey exclaid, as he closed the distance between him and Elias. His body was wrapped in winds that made him faster than normal.

He was faster than everyone else. At least that's what it seed like, as there were a few that didn't seem to be giving it their all to catch up to Elias.

The Professor had already lied to them once, about telling Elias that secret. Even though what he told them was likely true this ti, they wanted others to take the lead first.

They knew Rey was foolish, and impatient, which was why they wanted him to test the murky waters first. If he could successfully take the growth stone, then they could easily get involved as well.

There were flas around his fist, as if it was completely prepared to bring Elias to ashes. Soon, there was only a few ters of distance left between them.

Rey reached out his burning hand, trying to grab a hold of Elias' head. He wanted to smash him on the ground, instead of simply burning him to ashes. He still hadn't forgotten how he was smashed on the ground during the Awakening Ceremony.

"Let's see where you run now!" He laughed, as his hand was rely a few feet away from Elias' head. It was only a matter of seconds before he grabbed him and smashed him on the ground.

At least that's what he thought, only for his eyes to widen as he saw Elias stop, and the distance suddenly decreased faster than he had assud.

Elias ducked his head, avoiding Rey's blazing hands. He turned around, and Rey saw Elias' palm before his face. He felt like he was having deja vu, as if sothing like this had happened before as well.

He was moving so fast that he didn't even have ti to react, as that palm grabbed his face, smashing him on the ground instead.

The mont his skull was slamd on the ground, Rey spat blood, feeling pain travel through his entire body.

"Neither are you a professor, nor do I need a weapon to kill you!" Elias exclaid, as he clenched his fist, slamming it down.
